WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Just line dancing today
Suddenly this forum sees me as a guest which means I have to log on every time I post the new day's message. Any remedy you all can think of?
Jan โ As with anything else there are possible side effects to an epidural. Today I saw my pulmonologist and he thought I should have it. Iโm still awaiting their call without pushing it.
Lori โ Could those symptoms be resulting from the strength training?
Cindy โ I use the stove exhaust fan when cooking things DH might not like to smell. Also, you can make a batch when heโs not around and store it in the fridge in a tupperware container. The individual portions heated in the microwave donโt have an odor.

Good morning. Mediocre day of food yesterday. Iโll keep trying.
Lori, I wonder if the morning soreness is due to your pillow. What did your SIL think of the muffins?
Nancy, no idea why the site would make you log in each time. Iโm in trouble if that happens to me, I have no idea what my login is.
Cindy, funny story about the cauliflower. Our school had some illness go through before Christmas, but they didnโt end up closing. Glad youโre feeling better.

C39. D1 (again).
My kids have both been in school together 1 full sayings January 23. How crazy is that? Another blizzard right now.
Today I am on vacation and no school. I hope to have a fun day with my family. Indoors! And we are trapped even if we wanted to leave. The roads were drifting high yesterday.
Two days ago, school was delayed 2 hours. The bus driver was concerned about getting through a road ahead and asked DH to follow him. Bus did get stuck in the snow and DH had to shovel him out.
Food has been delicious abundant and high points. Hoping to have delicious and low points today.
Nancy - I'm sorry to hear about the back pain. I didn't know an epidural was a treatment.
Cindy and Nancy- My DH has issues with food smells but mostly sauerkraut. Which we eat when he's out of town. Those orange puff things are dangerous for me in any quantity.
Lori- you have done an amazing job with maintenance. I'm so glad you check in here and give me hope and inspiration. Glad you had a nice day for walking.
Jan - stress eating is my thing to, like your example from the dinner being left out. Hope that we can get both have good days today. Although mine is starting with homemade waffles. I'm using the high protein Kodiak Cakes mix, so not horrible high points. I think I'll bake a chicken too
Hi to all who folllow!

Good Morning,
Taxes are almost complete - not as bad as I thought so that's a good thing. It seems this year my mortgage interest didn't make any difference - starting to wonder if I should work on paying that off earlier than planned since no tax benefit anymore.....Normally when I go to DSILs we would get take out for dinner but since we finished pretty early and I had a lot of yummy leftovers I decided to go home. We did both enjoy a coffee and muffin break. She really liked them and kept the extras I brought. So I think the next time there is a get together I'll make it in a loaf or cake form.
Nancy, Is there a remember me box you can check?? or if your using Chrome, you click on the three dots all the way to the right (under the X) go to settings and manage passwords, that might help. The neck, back issues go way back - that's when I stopped pilates and strength training. My doctor thinks it could be fibromyalgia (no test can confirm just going by symptoms) but I didn't want to go on a daily medication so I bought a new mattress, can't tell you how many pillows went to PT, chiropractor, acupuncture/massage and nothing seemed to help. Then for no apparent reason I started feeling better so I'm thinking it may be fibromyalgia or something similar that has flare ups. Right now I'm at a good place and I'm very cautiously getting back to strength training (only using 4lb weights) and pilates..... Kathy, did you mean 1 full day since January 23?? That is crazy...will they have to make up all that time? The poor kids won't have a summer vacation....Hope you Enjoy a fun day!! Cindy, when my DH complains about the cooking odors I complain about when he works on the cars and I can smell the fumes...lol
Have a good day everyone! Lori

Nancy, excellent idea! Lori cute on fumes! Well, DH ended up lighting a candle & don't know where my brain was didn't even think of that. Well, 2 more schools in the country have shut down because of flu & virsues. The weather here like Monday was 70's and today 30's and that's the way it is usually winters here. Oh Kathy, would really not enjoy the weather there. Well, went to town this morning got kleenex, protein drinks and tea. (Green tea purple acai blueberry) Do any of you drink hot tea? Have any suggestions on flavors? This has really helped when I get the chills (from old age) during the day. Off to the treadmill. Love ya'll, Cindy
