Thanks for the start, Dr. Whoâs companion. Take care while you are grocery shopping. I hope your sister from another motherâs OS appt goes well. What pattern is your new Vera Bradley? I am going to add the hamstring exercise on the ball to my routine. You put your feet amd ankles on the ball and lift your hips up from the floor and lower. My right hip especially needs it and both hips feel really good today. I ordered a food scale from Amazon yesterday. It should be here tomorrow. It will measure in metric and US standard. The Zo recipes list weight and measures in metric as well as standard.
Linda, your museum has some interesting things in its inventory. I see your weather is see sawing as well.
Becky, I like your exercise challenge. I try to get 3o minutes of exercise almost every day. Sometimes I just take the day off. Boy,did you warm up fast. Is Scooter on her chair outside?
Kathy, AC and heat in the same day. Sheesh! Does that happen often this time of year? We are supposed to have a record high of 65° today. Both of my food scales took a hike. I had a digital one and an old WW one and since we âorganizedâ they are nowhere to be found. Some other thi gs are missing so I think a âkeep itâ box got mixed up with a âget rid of itâ box.
Liz, whatâs up at St Crazy? How is the knee doing?
It was raining and foggy to and from the airport. There were accidents everywhere. I am glad I am home safe and sound. I hope Iggyâs travel day is an easy one. He has a face to face interview when he gets back. The pay wouldnât be great but the benefits would be and he would be home. I can always get a job if things get tight. Fingers crossed đ¤.

I am getting ready to build an arc. It has been pouring rain since late this morning, the backyard looks like a marsh and now the wind has kicked in. I closed the drapes because I am tired of looking at it. Now I have to resist the urge to raid the refrigerator because that will solve nothing. The good news is that Iggyâs flight from Detroit left on time. It is going to be a long 2.5 weeks.
I saw that the Nashville area is having some flooding problems. How are things in East Tennessee, Karen?

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele This is an activity challenge first started on the old WW message boards, then we moved to Facebook and then the lady who was in charge of the updating of our stats decided to close her account on FB so we moved over on the ProBoards and I am updating the stats over here.I try to get in at least 30 minutes every day but once in awhile I miss one if I'm not feeling well but that's rare.We did have a short warm up this week. The first of our fronts came in this morning and it's down to 52 after waking up to 70 degrees. It's supposed to get in the 40's this evening and cloudy, windy and in the 30's tomorrow with a wind chill in the 20's.Scooter stayed on her chair this morning for awhile and then we got a rain shower. We thought she would stay inside while we went to Elgin. No she wanted out and I suggested to Kenneth he take her leash off while we were still on the porch in case she wanted to stay on the porch.I left one of the gates open for Kenneth and the next thing we knew Scooter was out the gate and by the SUV with no leash on.So I opened up the back door of the car and she jumped right in.I guess she wanted to go along. It was the same door Kenneth let her in when we took her to the vet.So I held her collar until he could get the leash back on,get her back in the yard and take her leash off.We don't leave the leash on while we are gone because she could get it caught on something. So I guess since we have been gone for a little while every day again she wants us to stay home.I bought enough food to get us through tomorrow since it sounds like it will be a good day to stay inside.I'm glad you got home safely.
We haven't gotten much rain at a time but the ground is so soggy it never gets a chance to dry up.
Waves to everyone!

Karen, thanks for the start. Which Doctor are you traveling with? Chele, send some of that rain this way! It's been really dry since that front came through a couple of weeks ago. That sounds like a good hamstring exercise. How big is the exercise ball? The AC/heat in one day is unusual. When it gets up in the 80s, it doesn't usually cool down enough for the heat at night. I think we've moved into nothing but AC temps until the next cold front comes. It feels quite warm outside, but not as humid as in the summer. I love it when organizing results in lost things! Hope you like the new scale. Mine is a WW one from the PointsPlus era and has grams and ounces. I never really used the points features on it though. I still need to change that battery and my floor scale battery died too. I'm glad you're home safe and sound too and hope Iggy's flights are on time and uneventful. Waving to Linda, Becky, and Liz.

Chele, I'm glad you got home safely and hope the weather didn't impact Iggy's trip. I'm happy that he has a F2F coming up after his return. When you say he would be "home", does that mean no travel? Sometimes the benefits are more important than the size of the paycheck. If you went back to work, what would you like to do? I'm assuming you would be looking for part time, which is more prevalent than full time positions. I wonder if they updated the Zo manual between when I got mine and when you got yours. I'll have to check, but I don't remember metric measurements being in mine--or maybe I just ignored them. There were several things that apparently ended up in a "donate" box instead of a "move" box 3 years ago. What kind of plans do you have for your Iggy-free time? I do an exercise on the floor similar to what you do on the ball. I haven't been able to do it with only one foot, however. Hopefully next week. On the Vera Bradley, I usually wait til a pattern is retired before I buy. I went for Dream Tapestry this time and bought the matching Zip ID for those times I just go to a convenience store or another quick in/quick out and just want to take my license, credit card and maybe a few bucks with me. Kathy may be the only one with AC and heat in the same day. I had to sun block the thermostat in the living room to keep it from getting over the set temp for the AC. High tomorrow is supposed to be 30 degrees cooler than it is right now. We beat the previous record high by 5 degrees (76 vs. 71), and the official temperature for Sevierville is actually 79 (our temp sensor is in a shaded spot). Foot did much better on the grocery trip this week than last week. But I was able to wear a Croc today instead of the post-op shoe, so that's progress. I did take up the bagger on her offer to help me out to the car with my stuff. I went through the drive-through at the bank to avoid having to walk into the lobby. That's also unusual for me. Good luck with Noah's blueprints. We had some rain over night but not much. However, there are some places north of us that have floods, damage to roads, and other significant issues today. Is there a major project you have been thinking about that would take a couple of weeks and would be best done while you have the house to yourself?
Kathy is tomorrow an off-Friday? Are you getting a cool-down like we will be? Are you going to run errands? Do you and DM do the grocery run on Fridays when you're off work?
We got some good news today in Dale's annual review. He's getting a raise and a pretty hefty bonus. YAY!! Maybe he has found a fit (for now). He wants to use part of his bonus to get the vibration plate I want, so I'm waiting to hear back from the company. Not much happening tomorrow for me. Butt on couch/foot propped up. I lead such an exciting life these days. I do need to finish up the newsletter. I had an email from the president this morning that she won't be able to get her stuff to me until late this evening. Deadline was yesterday. I plan to ask her if there's anything I can do to help her be on time so I can be on time. I need to do it tactfully, however.
Waving to the rest of the gang.

That exercise is a yoga position called a bridge, I think. I have seen people do it in PT. I can do it a little...carefully. It hits core muscles and can set of my sciatica.
Cleaner here today...my back would never keep up with that kind of activity. Mixed up salt, vinegar and Dawn and sprayed it on the weeds that became huge in three days! Hope it works as I really do not want to use Roundup and digging them out got ahead of me. Then it was three loads of laundry, bakery, TJ's, Safeway and the bookstore to drop a used book for credit (gifts, new or used books). Walked dog and saud enough! It was only 1:00.

Kathy and Becky, it looks like you posted before I did but your posts weren't showing up for me. When I saw them, it was time to get Arya's dinner, so no time to respond. Becky, we are definitely getting your cold front. We are still in the mid 70s here but will drop a bunch over night and supposed to be in the upper 30s by morning. Going to have to put the blanket on the bed again. Good day for you to stay inside for sure and I'm glad you won't have to venture to the grocery store. Good idea to take the leash off Scooter when you aren't around, so she doesn't get tangled on anything. Amazing that she got in the vehicle voluntarily, given that her last trip was to the vet, where she probably didn't want to go. She'll be happy you are staying home tomorrow.
As to which Doctor I'm traveling with, Kathy, I would say 9th or 10th and I would be Rose's assistant, since I have her scarf. Will you be retaining your heat or cooling off like the rest of us.
Linda, you are correct about the position Chele described being Bridge. Or you could straighten thearms and make it the Wheel. I think I was able to do that once or twice.Amazing what a lot of rain can do to little weeds. You don't even want to go there with Roundup since it has now been verfified as a carcinogen. You may have to spray them more than once to kill them, even if you don't have any rain coming. As usual, you got a lot done today. The 80s without humidity would be nice. Today is about as close as we get to that here.
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and had dinner on the screened porch. The sun was shining brightly when we went out but the clouds were rolling in quickly. We noticed that the mounting hardware cover for the ceiling fan had dislodged, probably in one of our recent windstorms, so Dale had to fix it to keep the impending rain from getting the wires in the ceiling all wet. Looks like there was only one screw holding it in place, so it's a miracle it stayed in place for nearly 3 years. He'll put in another screw, so we should be good. We won't be going out for a while with the weather changes coming.Spring will be here soon and the lake level will be coming up. Dale is planning to do a little work to our coastline to make it easier to get in and out when kayaking or swimming, so hopefully he will have time to do what needs done before we get more water.

Karen That is odd about the posts not showing up before you posted.I wish we were still in the mid 70's.It's already down to 44 and windy. We haven't seen the sun in 7 days and may not see it again until Valentine's Day.It hasn't rained every day but it has been cloudy for a solid 7 days now.I think they are predicting a low of 35 in the morning but with wind chills in the 20's.It has of course already hit North TX.Kenneth just took Scooter out to do her business and the silly dog wanted to stay out for awhile. We still have a big limb in the yard we haven't gotten chopped off from a storm months ago which is why we take her leash off before we leave.I have never seen a dog love a leash so much. She is always happy to get it back after we get home. She pulled this same thing the morning we had the ladies brunch at church but she still had her leash on so I was able to step on her leash and catch her then.I didn't know if she would get in the car but there was a few days last month when she made it hard for us to get out of the yard without her.She does like to ride in the car once she knows where we are going.I don't know what got in her today but I'm just thankful it worked getting her in the back seat of the car.She will be happy we are home tomorrow.Kenneth will be in and out feeding cattle and stuff but she will enjoy me spending the day with her.She will probably be a good extra blanket for me tonight.I usually make her sleep on my side but she likes to start out with her head across my legs.
As light as Marcie is she makes a good blanket across my legs too which is where she is right now.
Stay warm everyone who is having winter this weekend or in Kathy's or Linda's case I guess it would be stay cool.
