My girls are here in CA!!!! We went to dinner and Jim was in bed and my tenant checked on him while I was gone. He is still asleep. I saved him some of my food so I do hope he gets up to eat it. I had stuffed shells and ate only one because it filled me up.....Noom.com is working for me....slowly but surely! Nancy: A bird like a parakeet might be a good idea if you're looking for a pet. I loved the parakeet my DSis and I had as kids. It used to sit on my dad's glasses while he watched TV....LOL. I'm glad you have Bill also.... Sandy: I wonder what the difference is in a No Fault divorce state. I've never had an inkling to get a divorce so I really don't know much about it. All I can do is keep you all in my prayers. I know Debbie is having a great birthday for a change. Phyl: I have tried to talk to Jim....But, it does no good right now. He is angry with himself for not being able to do the things he used to do. I do have to make an appt. with neurology to have him tested to see if dementia is a problem with his competence. Let's get into our circle of wagons now and sing by the fire "WE CAN DO THIS, YES WE CAN...WE CAN LOSE NEW POUNDS...MY THIN FRIENDS!"

Hi everyone thanks for the start Kathie. So happy to hear your girls are with you and your new diet is working for you. Nice that Jim slept all the while you were gone. I did have birds years ago but I hated cleaning out their cages. Guess I'll always be alone. I think we all get upset when we realize we can no longer do the things we once did.
Sandy I can't believe all Maija and Debbie had to go through with Jeff. That is true about tofu it does that on the flavor of everything it is cooked with. The birthday party sounds like fun. Jim sounds like a great guy! Sorry to hear about Maija's cornea. Sure hope she makes the birthday dinner.
Phyl a lot of places are closed here. It is 3 going up to 9. I'll listen to the weather and if it is good for driving I'll go to WI, dancing and walking. I still have to laugh when I hear of your playpen.
Yesterday was boring. I did walk at the mall and spent some time in the community room. I hope I get out and about today. The live music at Hickory park if nothing else. Have a great day! Hugs and blessings to us all! See you in the morning

Kathie I've never contemplated divorce either but my understanding from Debbie is you just have to say you can no longer live together but not give a reason like abuse, unfaithfulness, etc. Although I wish you did as maybe then she wouldn't have to pay him alimony!
Last night was fun as Sam has never done hibachi so it was a new experience for him. I had forgotten how quickly you fill up though. I ate the tiny salad they give you and gave Maija my soup as she really likes it but I think it's too salty. So I ate all the vegetables and brought the rice and steak home. Fred brought home his chicken as well so we have more than enough for dinner today as he did eat all his rice but I'll share my rice with him as it's just too much! They came out with the tiny drum and huge drum and sang happy birthday and the chef paid particular attention to Debbie plus they brought out the tall chef hat with happy birthday Debbie on it that she got to keep. Sam and Maija had tofu and said it was really good and Debbie had calamari.
Today doing laundry and making a grocery list. Not been a good eating week but I find stress either makes me eat more or sometimes less and this week it was more!
