WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D10, 17 points + 4 rollovers, 8 water, 1209 calories, 10,125 steps, K9:15-5 (sort of, canasta exception)
walked to clubhouse, table tennis, 3x around mall, walking to music at home.
Jan – Mediocre trumps binge. Give yourself credit.
Kathy – It’s spinal stenosis (they say severe but pain is not even remotely near severe). The epidural is supposed to reduce the inflammation. I’m still on the fence. Hope it was a great day at home with the family – nothing like quality time.
Lori – Merci Beaucoup. “Remember me” worked. I can’t believe I didn’t see that before.
Cindy – Re candle and tea: whatever works, right? From 70 to 30 is quite a jump. I think we’re expecting much of the same. So far our weather remains mild though a bit damp today.

Good morning. I’m a broken record: I had another mediocre day. I guess I’m eating like a normal person who’s not on a structured diet. I’m ok with it for the time being but I don’t want to continue much longer like this.
Nancy, yes, you’re right. This is better than bingeing or even overeating. Glad you figured the computer glitch out.
Kathy, I don’t think I would handle your winters well. There is something to be said for an indoor family day though, isn’t there? Wow on your kids and school. Will they have to make up the time in the spring?
Lori, smart to start your weights light, and gradually go up.

So I couldn't sleep for some reason. By 2 AM all I could think about was Kix. Filled a cup with them (dry), got back in bed, munched on them while turning on The King and I. Fell asleep after a while but woke up at about 4 having missed most of the movie. Back to the kitchen to get and consume 2 small Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies and back to sleep. Don't ask me why. So that was 164 calories and 4 points unplanned, unneeded, and after K-closed. Could be worse I guess......... I'm adding it to yesterday's stats so this can be a new day fresh with no mistakes in it <g>. TGIF for all you working BFFs.

Happy Friday Everyone!!
This was another week of stretching out leftovers. I had 1/2 of chicken napoli over angel hair and 1/2 chicken parm over angel hair. I had more pasta this week then I think I had all year but small portions each time (I stretched it out to 4 meals by adding lots of veggies. I'll be interested to see how the scale reacts.
Nancy, Hate it when sleep is interrupted...I had to laugh at "all I could think about was Kix" You have come so far on this journey!! Even stopping at 2 small cookies is HUGH!! We all know it could have been so much worse... Good idea to start today fresh!! Jan, Mediocre is a good thing! I have a list of snacks that I really enjoy that are quick and easy. Last night, I just did know what I wanted for a snack (Just knew I wanted one...lol) so I took out my list and I decided to have a slice of 647 toast with pb2 and sliced banana - just something I haven't had in awhile...it really hit the spot. Maybe something like that would help...just a suggestion.. Kathy, Hope your surviving the Blizzard...I was thinking of you while watching the news last night can't even imagine!! Cindy, If you like a sweet tea, I recommend - Sweet temptations (sweetened with stevia), I enjoy all the flavors and love it both hot and cold, ...I really enjoy a cup after lunch and when I get home from work....https://redrosetea.com/specialty-teas/sweet-temptations/
I actually have nothing planned this weekend and I'm looking forward to it!!

Hi Girlfriends! Kitchen Closed: 6:30pm Nancy, have not even been putting on here kitchen closed, duh and have been ignoring it on my daily page. I have got to get with the program. Even my house dusting has fallen by the way side. Have had out my cleaning supplies on the dresser for days now. The road up to our house is gravel, so...Funny told DH don't want to blacktop it because that would make it not look country, duh. When DS comes out he just flies down it, you can imagine! Lori, thanks so much for the website. I din't even think about looking on line, duh! Well, ya'll going to the treadmill and then do some serious dusting around here. Gotta get my head out of the clouds! Love ya'll, Cindy
