WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D11, 14 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water, K9:15-6, 1200 calories
3x around the mall after pool
Another good week – Under 1250 every day except for that isolated Chinese meal, 10,000 or more steps on 4 days, K-closed with two small exceptions, 24 unused rollovers and 21 unused weeklies.
Jan – Maybe mediocre is OK, especially if the clothes still fit and you feel good. For a long time you were counting the non core points. If those are still within reason, normal should work for you.
Lori – Funny about the PB2 on 647 and a banana, because I too have been having healthy snacks in the evening now and then instead of the “treats”. One night, for example, I had a string cheese and a slim Jim, Another night I had a deviled egg and 6 cashews.
Cindy – Haha love it “gotta get my head out of the clouds”. You are adorable.

Good morning. Yesterday was not a great eating day. Today I commit to being sweet treat free and listening to my hunger. Tomorrow will be MTBC as we’ll be going to Columbus for the state tournament.
Cindy, I love bing cherry tea by Rebublic of Tea. I also love Constant Comment by Bigelow. When you’re done dusting, you can come do it at my house :-)
Lori, regular pb and banana has been one of my snacks. I’ll have to try mixing PB2 with water, I’ve only ever added it to smoothies.
Nancy, I’m so impressed with both your eating and activity this week! Yes, if I factor in all of my activity points I’m probably OP. However, I know that many points won’t work for me. I need to scale back, especially with what I had yesterday.

Happy Saturday!!
I was very happy with the scale this morning..good exercise week, spreading out the leftovers and switching up snacks worked well. I’ll continue on
Great week Nancy!! Jan, I really enjoy PB2 as peanut butter. I find mixing with warm water or unsweetened almond milk makes it nice and creamy...make to the consistency you like. Good Luck in Columbus!!
Hi to Cindy, Louise and anyone else reading!!

I was down another .4 which was delightful. However, I went on a little eating tear in front of the TV after mini meal 3. I think psychologically it was because I have a challenging week ahead. Tomorrow and Monday we're having the Boston Market meal (split between the two nights) but I'm thinking meatloaf and mac n cheese because that's what our aide got last time and it's been in my mind ever since. Not only that, but Friday I'll be joining the family for DGK's 16th birthday dinner at a restaurant. I'm going to have cedar planked salmon broiled without the brown sugar and glaze that comes with it with the angel hair pasta with marinara sauce on the side if possible instead of the garlic butter sauce it comes with, but I'm thinking there may be some birthday cake involved and maybe a slice of the appetizer pizza they usually order. Heaven help me when I weigh in the next morning. Then I should have one perfect week before DH's 90th birthday weekend which will undoubtedly be challenging beyond measure. As for today's slip up, it came to 324 unplanned calories and 11 unplanned points. It's still OP though and all accounted for so I am not considering it a binge. The Boston Market meals will be isolated. Hopefully 3 LP days before Friday's isolated Bday dinner. I'll probably spend all of March reversing the February damage. Thanks for listening.
Jan - Best of luck in Columbus. Can't wait for a full report.
Lori - Kudos on the successful weigh in. Hope you've been smarter than me afterwards.
