WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Happy Sunday! Finally, a successful OP day. I got DSalmost19 chips and dip, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had a few, then stopped. Everything else was LP.
A few moms went to the field house after practice yesterday to give the boys a send off. One of the moms called and got a police escort out of town for them. Lights and sirens on for 4 or 5 miles to the turnpike. So much fun! Pics are on Facebook. They wrestle at 1:15. Hopefully they make it out of the first round, but it could go either way.
Lori, thanks for the PB2 tips. It never occurred to me to mix it with milk.
Nancy, you had a great week! As far as the rest of the month goes, you might surprise yourself. If you single out the separate events and stay OP the rest of the time you could be ok. 90th birthday for DH. Wonderful!

Good morning!!
Nancy, we both had the same reaction yesterday....lots of snacking yesterday afternoon. I’m thankful l was able to keep it low point items but just kept wanting more. DH didn’t feel like going out last night so I was able to have a healthy dinner and got things under control....I think it was the combo of a good weigh in and a lazy day... You have lots of challenges ahead but Jan is right...if you isolated those meals, you could be fine...Wonderful celebrating DH’s 90th Birthday!!
Jan, what a great day yesterday for all!!! Hoping for an exciting day ahead!!!
Gotta run...

C39. D1. Reset. Depressingly high number on the scale for yesterday's WI. Plan is 1) drink water 2) plan and track 3) exercise today. We've had fun blizzard days.
Nancy- way to go on another good week! Sounds like you're thinking through the week ahead. Exciting to have DH's 90th! Is his BD present still a surprise? :-)
Lori- congrats on the food WI and great jib moderating pasta.
Cindy - let's not even start on the topic of dust!! When we bought the farm I asked MIL if it was hard to keep up with the dusting (we live in the windy wide open prairie). She looked at me quizzically and said "no." We have a crazy amount of dust!! Not hard to keep up if you dust EVERY DAY like she did!!! Instead I just use my finger to send messages to my family members, like "I love you! Dust me." ;-)
Jan - Glad you had a good day yesterday! I need to get a a string of those going. Did you have an exciting day wrestling?
Hope all that follow have a good day.
Kathy

Jan – Thanks for the encouragement. I’ll try my darnedest. How cool the police escort. I so hope Alex kills it… and the team of course.
Lori – My snacking was also low point. What’s weird is that my home weight was down another ½ pound today.
Kathy – Yes a total surprise. Beautifully wrapped by the jeweler and hiding in a small gift bag behind a living room end table. That’s funny about writing on the dust. A while back one of the hoods over a pool table in our clubhouse was so dusty that my friend wrote “clean me” in the dust. The custodian got the hint because it got taken care of.

Alex did it! He pinned his kid! Again, pics on Facebook. The team could have won, but one of the boys was caught vaping by the coach last night and wasn’t allowed to wrestle today. We took the forfeit and lost.
We are sitting in never ending traffic because of snow. This trip will take hours. So far coach is refusing to stop and eat and most of them are starving. I’m hoping he changes his mind.
Nancy, the scale is a curious thing, isn’t it? (BTW, we’ve been driving for an hour and are only up to Gemini).
Kathy, it’s such a relief to have a good day after many days of struggling. I hope you can string a bunch of them together.

Jan - Kudos to Alex!!! Awesome photos. What a bummer for the team though. I had to google "vaping". Smoking e-cigarettes. Live and learn <g>.
