Wow four o'clock on the east coast and where is everyone?
Another night not able to sleep until after 1:30..but this time I had to be up before 8, so maybe it will break the cycle I have fallen into this week.
Finished the painting of the parrot for dh and started on a kind of abstracted city scene from a photo I took in Vienna. Walked dog a mile .
Got a set of five foot high rolling shelves to fit into the computer room closet for spouse's accumulating stuff, and it ended up in the guest room closet where I had to reorganize my stuff today. sigh.

Kathy, interesting on the outsourcing of the exit interview. At least it will be after your last day so you'll be able to speak freely without the possibility of repercussions. I spoke freely but I don't know that things stayed as confidential as I was promised it would. Yes, there is always one more task...but I hope it's really the last one for you.
Sorry your appointment couldn't be today, Chele, but I hope you still aren't having pain. So I guess we're the only ones having sushi today, but I got enough that we'll also have it tomorrow. So I guess we'll both be having it tomorrow. How are things in Singapore?
Becky, did you get to 50 for your overnight low? Are things warming up for you today?I certainly hope so. You've had the crazy weather this winter for sure.
How much snow did you get, Liz? I hope the commute wasn't too messy. I figure your census is still way up.
Linda, how was art class today? Did you do anything else?
The doc gave me the all clear to "begin activities as tolerated" as he put it. I stopped at a more civilized Kroger and at Publix, mailed my package, and stopped for Sushi. I've got in over 6K steps today and I'm feeling it. So far (knock on wood) I have managed to avoid walking into walls, hitting the side of my foot on door frames or the foot of the bed, and not getting stepped on. At least until today when I came home and Aryajumped on my foot. So now I'm really feeling it. I am transferring my annuity from TX to our regular FA and got the paperwork over the weekend. I figured it would just require a signature, but they wanted a lot of information as well that was FA stuff I wouldn't have a clue about. So I dropped it by the UPS drop box and there was a UPS truck sitting there. It happened to be our regular UPS guy and you know you're getting packages too often when he knows you without having to ask your name name and gives you your packages on the spot. I'm going to try to do my usual Monday stuff tomorrw, since I wasn't home most of the day. I plan to try to use the rowing machine tomorrow. I thought about stopping to use the NuStep after the doctor's visit, but the foot was bothering me some so I thought maybe I needed to give it a little more time.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I'm sorry your dental appointment isn't until tomorrow.I hope your tooth isn't hurting.
Linda I'm sorry you have been having trouble sleeping.Hopefully after getting up so early you will be able to sleep especially as busy as you have been so busy today.
Karen It did get down to 48 and so far the high has been 62 but still cloudy and damp outside. No rain just damp.We may see the sun tomorrow afternoon and I think we are getting 2 fronts in this week but not as bad as the one last week hopefully.I think the first front is coming in tomorrow evening.Remember the doctor said to begin activities as tolerated. If your foot is hurting it is not tolerating well.Take it easy.6K steps your first day resuming activities sounds like too many.I'm glad Kroger and Publix wasn't too bad.We have been waiting for our interest document from the bank and Kenneth asked them about it last week and they said it would be a few days.He stopped in there again today and they said they had mailed all of them out so it was the PO again who messed up things.
This morning we went to the PO,bank,Walmart and HEB.It was about 1:00 before we got home and around 2:00 before we finished lunch.I have done one 20 min session on the bike and will do one more later.Poor Marcie keeps looking out the windows for the sun.She loves laying in the sun inside and since we haven't had any for so long she keeps looking anyway. We got out of the yard without Scooter this morning but after Kenneth took her leash off I heard her whining in the car.Nothing really planned for tomorrow yet so maybe I can spend more time with her.

Karen, I am hapoy to hear the doc is happy with your progress and you didn’t push too hard today. The rower should be a good test of how much pressure you can put on the foot for exercising. A civilized Kroger? How did that happen? There is always more paperwork for financial stuff than one realizes.
Linda, didn’t the shelves fit in the computer room closet or did you change your mind? How did Bob like his parrot?
Actually, I did go to the dentist today but all he had time for was to look at it and see what was needed and to file down the sharp edges. I go back tomorrow morning for the removal of the old cap and the cast for the new one. The dentist changed his BIL’s appointment to accommodate me. We have been going there a long time and now our nieces and their DH’s go to him too. It is sushi for dinner for me tonight and lunch tomorrow. Spicy tuna roll here I come.

It would fit...if he cleaned out some junk, but there is a two drawer file caninet we do not have foles in anymore that it would block....yeah. more junk in that and he doesn't want to sort it out. Bah. want to get that file out of there but neither of hs can manage it even empty. So it stays until we get the carpet out and pergo down when those guys can move it to garage for Good will! We had so much to shiftwhen we did pergo in that room, another bedroom , hall and family room full of bookcases that we skipped the closets in all three rooms. so they and the den/library with six huge bookcases need to be done before we get much older. I did get half the books out if the six but he is filling it up again.

Linda, that sounds like Iggy and his clothes. He refuses to sort through them and just stuffs the stuff that doesn’t fit into trash bags that go in the basement. Bah humbug!
Becky, I am sure Scooter will appreciate more attention and devotion. One of my cats was just like Marcie seeking the sun in every window.

Linda, any idea why you're having so much difficulty getting to sleep this week? I hope you're right about what having to get up before 8. Sweet (and early) dreams tonight. With as much stuff as you donate, it's amazing that you still need more shelves for stuff. Sounds like our place. LOL
62 sounds nice, Becky. We've been upper 40s most of the day but it's very damp so, like we were discussing yesterday, that makes it feel colder. I hope your interest document arrives in the mail by tomorrow. Were they mailed from the local bank or some distant corporate location? You had a busy morning like I did. I think it was after 2 before I had lunch and I kept it light (hummus, crackers, and a few marinated carrots) because of having sushi for dinner.
Chele, how was your sushi? Ours was good. We mainly get the spicy crab and spicy California. Nice to have a good relationship with the dentist so he'll accomodate you when you have problems. And having all the family to increase his business doesn't hurt either. Will he be able to complete the work at tomorrow's appointment or will you have to go back again to get the work finished? Yes, a civilized Kroger, as surprising as that is. It's kind of off the beaten path but it was also Monday morning and raining. There is a Publix about a block away and it's only about 20 minutes from my doctor's office, so not a bad trip until I can get back to the better options in Knoxville.
I forgot to mention that I've gained 2.5 lbs since the surgery, despite cutting back on starchy carbs and upping the protein a bit to compensate. I've managed to keep calories under 1500 but it doesn't seem to be enough. I'm looking forward to getting back to a little activity to see if that will help. I hope the foot will cooperate. Arya ran into it a couple of times during dinner and I think that hasn't happened before because I usually had it propped up while we were eating. Now that I'm trying to let things get back to normal, it's more accessible. She doesn't understand, so I just need to keep it as far away from her as possible and we have one more fit to go.

Karen The document was mailed by the local bank but our mail service is so sorry they are always losing things or sending mail to the wrong address. Our loan officer was able to make us a copy of it so sometime this week we will probably go to Bastrop with the rest of our documents as well.Your lunch would never fill me up.LOL. I always have a fairly large salad with 2 grilled chicken breast tenders cut up in that with extra virgin olive oil, berries and Greek yogurt. They are predicting a high of 63 for tomorrow with sun most of the day.It would be 2 weeks tomorrow without sun if it doesn't come out and that is very unusual.I'm sure your small gain is from not being as active as you are used to.I know Arya doesn't mean to hurt your foot but I'm sure it hurts just the same.
I was surprised even with the luncheon at church yesterday I maintained last week.We are supposed to have another ladies brunch on Saturday but an older cousin of mine passed away and the funeral is at the same time so I think I need to go to the funeral instead. We weren't close but we used to see him and his wife in HEB or Walmart from time to time. They don't live too far from us and the funeral will be in Elgin. They won't have a visitation so I want to go out of respect to his wife and his sister whom I also remember.I told Kenneth we would eat out either Wed or Thursday for Valentines and I didn't need to go to the brunch anyway.
