WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D14, 18 points and 1145 calories + isolated half Boston Chicken meal, 8 water, K9:00-2
3x around the mall but no other exercise
Some unnecessary picking which increased calorie count. I desperately need 3 LP days under my belt before Friday night’s Bday dinner. K-closed is saving my life.

Good morning. I had a pretty successful day with food on Monday. I’m not tracking, but I’m very mindful of what I’m eating. I had my usual light breakfast at 10:30 and didn’t have lunch until after 3:00. Very busy and just didn’t have time.
Kathy, I would say you definitely deserve a beach vacation! Nice menu. Very healthy but plenty of good, tasty food.
Nancy, I have no doubt you’ll buckle down for the remainder of the week. BTW, interesting rallies in El Paso last night.
Lori, time flies, doesn’t it? It seems like you just started the weight training.

Good Snowy morning here!! Suppose to turn to freezing rain later so I had DH drive me to work..
Nancy, Yes – ½ portions are pointy but it’s a way to manage eating out without feeling deprived. A lot of times the ½ that I take home, I make into three or four meals (depending on size) by adding extra lean zero food protein and veggies. This way I get to enjoy the rest of it without having a high calorie or high point day during the week. So far, it’s been working well. Nice find on the turkey pastrami!! I’ve also been enjoying the Joseph Pita Breads – 1 SP 60 calories each. I’ve made a 3point pizza’s with them, pita chips, I’ll stuff them and toast in cusinart to get crunchy and used ½ to spread pb2 and roll a banana…lots of ideas..They have been a great addition!!
Kathy – Love that you are getting the Blue Dots and fitting in exercise!! Great menu!! Nancy, I think we mentioned them on here..your in the healthy eating zone if you are -10/+5 of your daily points…so for us it’s 13 to 28 daily points. When I track and follow core (zero foods) I try to stay at the low end… I have been trying to make strength training a habit so my goal is to do it 2 times (2X) each week. So far so good…if I get a 3rd day, it’s a bonus – my commitment is 2 days!! Beach vacation sounds like the perfect incentive and get away from your harsh winter weather. Where are you headed?
Jan, Great that you are mindfully eating…I love this website…https://hasfit.com/workouts/home/easy-beginner/ So many great choices for beginners and a lots within my 20 min attention span!!
Hi to Cindy, Louise and anyone else out there….

C39. D3. Yes!! I got in more exercise.
You. would. not. believe. the. school bus RODEO we are having out here on the wide open prairie. Bus went off the road on the edge of our farm (flanked by two sloughs on each side). We are remote, isolated, and the door of the bus was tipped into snow and couldn't be opened. Kids stuck in bus for 2 hours.
DH is in AZ getting his mom situated. I get out the 4 wheel drive truck and after 1.5 hours, get kids on the replacement bus. Back in the house at 9:15am wearing my Carhartts - looking like a badass snow mom (which is what I am ;-). When I get the text that the SCHOOL is Closing. So NOW, I have to figure out how to retrieve my boys. The roads are now snowed in and I don't know if I can make it in the truck, even with 4 Lo.
Stayed tuned! I'm heading out.

Oh my gosh, Kathy. I hope you all arrive home safe and sound.
Lori, love your creativity with food. I decided to make chocolate hummus today. I quickly glanced through some recipes this morning and they all called for cacao powder. I ran into the health food store for CBD oil and saw they had it so I grabbed a bag. Of course, once I was home I found a bunch of recipes that only called for cocoa powder. Grrr.
