Good morning...barely. Got to sleep earlier, but up at six to let out the dog who then bugged me again fifteen minutes later to do his thing outside again. It was about 38 degrees again which is quite cold for us now. The air temp or pollen set off my nose , and I had to make tea with honey to stop coughing...finally got back to sleep around 7:30 and woke groggy at 11! ridiculous!
I feel bad for everyone in that weather. I remember it well and how sick of it we were by March. One year the doc gave me a B12 shot because he said combo of grumpy teens at school gave me battle fatigue!
Trying to work up ambition to set up wifi one new printer that came yesterday afternoon. We took it out of the box.

Linda, I guess we Northerners are not the only ones suffering from winter this year. I am sorry to hear about the allergies, the lack of sleep and an inconsiderate Schnauzer. I know what you mean about furniture too heavy too move yourself. Good luck with the new printer.
Becky, my condolences on the loss of your cousin.
Karen, you can’t worry about the 2.5 lbs. If your foot is still swollen, you probably are retaining water. Let’s not forget the inflammation procedures cause as well. Once you get back on both feet the weight will come off, probably more slowly than you would like, though. I am glad you enjoyed your sushi. Mine was delicious.
Kathy, how goes the work week? Is your co-worker back again? I hope she is okay. Are you finding it hard to concentrate at work?
Liz, are you getting bad weather? Chicago is getting the worst of it in the Midwest.
Today it is raining and tonight snow. It seems to be a pattern this week. Rain, snow, rain, snow and freezing rain, sleet, ice in between. When I left for the dentist it was just rain. When I came back the fog had descended yet again. What is this? San Francisco?
I have my temporary crown in and go back on the 28th for the permanent crown. The dental assistant that used to be a little crabby was very talkative and nice today even though they were having a hectic morning. I have felt topsy turvy ever since or maybe it is the Novocaine.

Thanks for the start Chele.
Linda That's cold. Our low was 48 this morning and it's up to 60 but with gusty winds again it feels cooler. We are supposed to be down in the 30's.I'm glad you were able to take a nap and I hope you feel better soon.
Chele Thanks for the condolences.Your weather is crazy also.I'm glad you got the temporary crown but take care of yourself.Hopefully it is the Novocaine.
We went to Bastrop this morning and stopped at the vet to get heartgard for Scooter, went to H&R Block to drop off tax papers, got gas for the car because it was 21 cents cheaper than Elgin, shopped in Academy and I found some New Balance sneakers that are really comfortable.I have been needing new sneakers for awhile at least ones that were comfortable.

Linda, what got into Micki this morning? That doesn't sound like his typical behavior. You were colder than we were this morning. That's rather unusual, but then you've had an unusual winter so far it seems. I'm glad you were able to get back to sleep, even if you were groggy when you got up. Did the B12 shot help you deal with grumpy teens? I saw something on FB the other day that claimed kids haven't changed but the expectations of adults have, I guess meaning adults' expectations are lower. Interesting perspective. I'm not sure I totally buy that. Did you get the new printer set up?
I can't handle Novocaine, Chele. I always have them give me Carbocaine, which wears off more quickly and doesn't have as many after effects. I know there is probably some inflammation remaining and having to sit around isn't helping either. But I did do 15 minutes on the rowing machine this morning and it went ok. No way I can get a bike shoe on the right foot, so that's going to be a while.
Becky, sorry to hear about your cousin. You probably would feel better going to the funeral. Will you and Kenneth do lunch for Valentine's Day? Will you go to your favorite buffet in Taylor? I don't think I could eat as much as you do for lunch, even if it's your biggest meal of the day. I get filled up rather quickly since I had my reflux/hiatal hernia surgery 10 years ago. You'd think that would lead to weight loss but it's not happening. Why do you think gas is so much cheaper in Bastrop. That seems like a lot of difference. Enjoy your new kicks. Do you wear them when you ride the bike or do you wear something else then?
How was the commute, Liz? Is the knee responding to the gel shot?
Kathy, like Chele, I was wondering how you are feeling about work with the impending retirement. I remember being so busy trying to make sure I had all the bases covered for everyone that they basically had to shove me out the door.
We have been having rain (yes, again!) since about Noon and have flood watches and warnings into tomorrow. I spent several hours working on the herbal salves presentation and think I am about to the point where I just have to do the Powerpoint and figure out what to put in a general handout. I also have a couple of specific handouts I have been putting together on essential oils and the various carrier oils that can be used with herbs. Olive oil is the #1 among herbalists because it has a longish shelf life, does fairly well with heat, and is pretty inexpensive. I need to check my supplies and order a few things and maybe make a good sized batch of herbal oils to use in class, which is pretty simple. I will probably have to limit to 10 participants, given the size of the classroom. Anybody watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show? I recorded last night's broadcast and watched it today and will do the same with tonight's broadcast. I was so excited when the Schipperke won best of group for Non-Sporting for the first time in history. My great aunt and uncle had a sweet little skipper named Bear (short for Teddy Bear) that I just loved and that has always been a breed that has been in the back of my mind for one day. I don't know if one would be a good buddy for Arya, but it's a thought. Speaking of Arya, she says it's time for dinner. BBL

i went to bed early last night, so Micki did not go out again late. His bladder is getting older too I guess. He will be 8 this summer. He also did not pooh after supper last night. so that got urgent!
I did get the Canon MX492 installed. Had to do internet manually using the keyboard. It does work with the old Mac system 10.7, but apple being a pain does not update safari browser on that any more and often get a message saying it cannot open the site because of security, blah blah. other browsers want a more moder system. ..Apple likes to make useful things obsolete on purpose. That was the installer! But I found another site with the drivers and got it working. only problem is it auto sleeps but does not autowake, so if you want to print, you have to hit the print function button to wake it up. Not a big deal for us.
Also got bedding changed, laundry done, dog walk and supper mostly made in advance. That will be new... Roasted peppers with Philly cheese steak stuffing.
Speaking of knee gel, got an appt for next Friday to see doc and get Medicare approval started for found three on right knee, which is not really aching that badly, but I waiting aN extra four months on the other knee and did not get results as good. Takes a good five weeks to really kick in.
Glad you got the cap, Chele.

Karen We will eat out but haven't decided if it will be tomorrow or Thursday or where we will be going. He is leaving it up to me.If we go to the buffet it would be tomorrow since Wednesday's are senior citizen day.Lunch is usually my biggest meal although today I had tuna on my salad instead of chicken since we were both hungry after coming home from Bastrop.Gas is cheaper in Bastrop because of Buc-ees. They don't even have their prices listed over there but it's always cheaper there so the other gas stations try to compete. We got gas at HEB in Bastrop and it was $1.68 there.HEB in Elgin was $1.89 yesterday but I know they haven't dropped as much as Bastrop has.I do wear sneakers on the bike.I find sneakers are more comfortable and stable on the pedals than my house shoes are.I really like the new ones. They are really comfortable at least so far.
Linda You have been busy again today.Kenneth loves Philly cheesesteak but he doesn't like bell peppers. They have been advertising a pizza place on TV with a Philly cheesesteak topping.
