HAPPY VALENTINE DAY!!!!
Trust yourself, there's no one who knows you better!!
Here's a little article about moderate exercise:
1. 20 min. per day, or about 2 1/2 hrs per week of moderate exercise can make a big difference in your health.
2. No gym is necessary. One study showed that doing household chores such as vacuuming & gardening was enough to reduce the risk of death by 30%, as long as it totaled 2 1/2 hrs per week. This is true whether the exercise was done all at once, or spread over the week.
3. Listening to music during your workout can improve your strength & endurance.
Thoughts? Ideas?
FUN: When is the last time you received a heart shaped box of Valentine chocolates? Have you ever kept the box after the candy was long gone?

I believe 20 -30 minutes exercise daily can improve health BUT don't always get it in. 2. I have my son's old dumbbells I could use and exercise equipment in the house BUT don't use them...need to get started in again...someday.
3. Music may make the workout more fun and take your mind off time and effort expended? Maybe? I don't think I have ever received a heart shaped box of candies!

1. Moderate exercise/20 min per day - a good reminder that it doesn't have to be a lot of time. I need to just get started, even if not 20 minutes, a start of 10 or even 5.
2. Household chores - yay! A silver lining to the show shoveling I've been doing recently. And, to put a positive spin on my job, I'd like to think that the lifting and some other tasks help at least a bit.
3. Music - I'd agree with Cathy, I think can help take one's mind off the time spent. Also, the right beat might help a person move a bit faster to keep in time with the music for walking, etc.
Candy - I'm sure I have in the past, but I can't actually remember when.

When you break down the 20-30 minutes of exercise into increments of 10 minutes each, it doesn't seem like such a chore. I must concentrate on doing that. And I do like listening to music while I do it. The other things like gardening or working in the yard is a bonus.
I haven't received a heart shaped box of candy in years. The last times I remember were back when I was young and my kids were little. I do remember saving the box for awhile.

I like the idea of 30 minutes of movement. Thatβs why I like Curves and walking around while shopping. Then of course no music when shopping.
I donβt remember any particular boxes of candy or keeping any.
Thanks for hosting this week. I will be posting a signup thread this weekend.
