Hey, Chicksters 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥,
The see saw temps this week finally got to my head. I woke with a headache but it went away and then came back with a vengeance and nausea after I did some housework. I am taking some meds and going to sleep. Boil alert is still in effect and is a PITA. I hope everyone is well.

Chele, sorry about the weather related headache and other nasties. Did I see you might get some snow over the weekend? I hope you had an awesome therapeutic nap. Are they saying how much longer the boil alert may be in effect? Yes, those are a major PiTA. Is Iggy due back next week?
Good to hear from you, Liz, but sorry the week has been so brutal for you, with so many late nights. I hope you can get some R&R this weekend. How's the knee progressing? Glad you have sun. We are supposed to have on and off rain through most of next week. I keep saying at least it's not snow.
Kathy, I remember your saying the Honda dealer was trying to get you to trade your Accord a while back. I got an email that the Subaru place wants to buy my Legacy and give me a killer deal on a new one. I would love to have a Crosstrek, but I really don't want to spend $15K on top of the trade to get one. How did the week go? Are you down to single digits on work days left now?
Foot looks ok (except for the swelling and bruising) but it's bit painful today. I did over 10K steps on Wednesday and over 12K yesterday, so that may have something to do with it. I've done 3 loads of laundry and made a batch of savory oats and that's been about it. I'm also a bit sore from yesterday's upper body weight session--mostly arms and back. I found a pair of flip-flops in the closet that are open where the scar is, so it's good to have something with a little support to wear when I do have to go to the laundry room. Got a good start on the ppt and ordered some essential oils that I need to have on hand for the workshop. I still have to order some beeswax pastilles and jars and I think I'll have what I need. My little girl turned 2 years old today, but she has so much stuff, we didn't get her any gifts. We've just been hanging out together today and I guess that's her present.
Waving to Becky and Linda.

Liz, sorry you had a tough week. Take care of yourself this weekend.
Happy Birthday to the little warrier princess.
Karen, you had better make this foot happy before the other foot gets unhappy. Iggy is back a week from Sunday. The nap was short but the migraine is receding. I think it gets bad when the weather triggers a headache and the arthritis in my neck flares up. I have been slack in the mushrooms so I need to incorporate them more to keep the inflammation down.
The boil advisory was lifted, TG. I have to run all the waterlines for at least 3 minutes. The fridge will be fun holding a large measuring cup under the spout and emptying and refilling. I have to dump all the ice as well. It has been inconvenient but certainly not a crisis as all the local news stations were touting.

Chele, glad the boiling alert is gone. Mushrooms and inflammation?
Karen, I worry that you do too much on that poor foot which needs to be really healed before the other. Not good not to have a leg to stand on. Congrats to the birthday pooch. Her gift is you.
Liz, sure hope this next week is better.
Rain bypassed us mostly and went west of Phoenix and north...nasty flooding ....four feet deep, creeks raging, washes running across roads.
DH wanted to go to Phx to German bakery for the Friday sunflower seed rye and stuff at the butcher shop. So we were off this morning. He wants sandwiches for supper..yea, no cooking for me.
On the way home through Scottsdale we stopped at Poisoned Pen Bookstore, great mystery place with stuff you cannot find elsewhere. They also publish, especially old, out of print stuff. Found a couple paperback authors to try.

Chele, sorry you're having such a rough week, but glad the headache has improved some. I had to turn the AC on today after having the heat on last night, so we're having the see saw temps too. I saw 86 in our forecast for next week. Ugh. I also need to pay more attention to the Gbombs since I've really gotten away from them lately. I had a bad fruit week. Bananas went bad quickly, blueberries were mushy, apples got soft spots. What the heck! Strawberries were good though. Glad to hear the boil advisory was lifted. I know those are no fun.
Liz, hope you can get out earlier today. Good to hear from you and hope you have some down time this weekend.
Karen, those car deals are tempting. I have a feeling my Accord will be in demand for awhile since they discontinued the coupe and my year was one of the nicer looking ones. Plus, I have low mileage on it, so I'll see what they say in a few years. 9 more work days to go and that includes an "off" Friday next week, so really just 8. I'm guessing the last day will mostly be checking out at the customer site and then my employer's site. It still hasn't sunk in! Our manager above my supervisor sent out a real nasty gram to people not following some processes correctly when they travel. It wasn't aimed at me since I haven't traveled for them in years, but it's the kind of thing I really won't miss. I've been very busy trying to complete that one last coding task and got a bad headache yesterday due to eye strain which is another thing I won't miss. That sounds like way too many steps when your foot is still healing. Maybe you can dial it back a little bit this weekend and let it heal some more. Happy 2nd Birthday to Arya!
Linda, the Poisoned Pen Bookstore sounds like fun. Enjoy your sandwiches and especially the not cooking.
Becky, hope you had a good day.

Chele, glad you're feeling a bit better and that the boil advisory has been lifted. The fridge stuff won't be fun but is necessary. Don't burn out the motor in the water dispenser by running it for 3 straing minutes. At least you can dump out the ice and just let it run through the cycle of dumping out the next batch as soon as it falls into the bin. I hate that Iggy will be out of the country for another week plus without being able to hear properly. How many people are with him? I tend to be slack on things but mushrooms typically isn't one of them. I'm not as good on onions as I should be, however. I'm not a huge fan of onions and it's good that garlic is in the same family so I have more of that.
Linda, part of my steps were, fortunately, credited to me on the NuStep yesterday and the rower Wednesday. But I certainly didn't intend to get that many steps in the past couple of days and somehow (partially the rower), I'm over 9K for today. I really am trying to stay off my feet as much as possible. The sunflower rye sounds amazing and not having to cook dinner even more amazing. I hope you didn't encounnter any rain while you were in PHX. The Poisoned Pen sounds like a cool name for a bookstore. We just have a BAM here so I get everything online, mostly Kindle or Amazon. I do miss having a nice bookstore.
If you traded your Accord, Kathy, what do you think you'd get? My car also has low mileage, which is one of the reasons they want it. The 2 major differences between the Legacy I have and the Crosstrek I would trade for are the higher ground clearance and a hatch vs. trunk, so more cubic hauling. You definitely won't miss the nasty-grams when you leave. I hadn't looked at the calendar to see that your last work day is a Thursday, so 8 days will go fast. I can understand coding headaches. I got a few of them myself working on my dissertation data in SPSS, which is a pretty low level program compared to what you're probably doing. I definitely need to dial it back on the activity this weekend and that's the plan.
I should have gotten my vibration machine today but FedEx, as usual, couldn't bother to open the gate to deliver. So now I'm supposed to get it on Monday. They have had a code to open the gate since we moved here and only one guy ever uses it. The others are too lazy or too much in a hurry and usually leave the package outside the gate (real secure!), but this one requires a signature. I'm quite miffed about it because it would have been great to have used it today and over the weekend. I think it might have helped with the healing process as well as eChele, glad you're feeling a bit better and that the boil advisory has been lifted. The fridge stuff won't be fun but is necessary. My new Crocs are supposed to be arriving (USPS) tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they fit. Arya says thanks for all the birthday wishes. She's sacked out next to me right now, which is usual this time of night.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I hope your migraine is better soon.I'm glad the boil alert is gone.
Liz It's good to hear from you and I'm sorry your week was so brutal again. They just never give up.
Karen I have gotten notices from the dealer wanting to buy my SUV as well but Kenneth needs a truck after this one gets paid off which won't be for awhile so I'm not interested in trading it for a different car.Take it easy on getting so many steps.Remember you have another surgery to get through.Happy Birthday to Arya.
Kathy our high was 86 today.I didn't turn on the AC but I did turn on the ceiling fan because it's 77 degrees in the house.
Karen Darn on FedEx not using the code to deliver your vibration machine.
I did 25 minutes on the recumbent bike and walked for 30 minutes this afternoon since it was so nice outside.
