Every challenge has a silver lining.
We have talked several times here about keeping hydrated. I drink plenty of liquids, but I have decided not to have anything to drink except water & my coffee for the next week. It is a mini-challenge for me.
1. Did you know that not drinking enough water can even cause you to have a headache?
2. It can cause muscle aches?
3. Do you see a physical difference in the way you feel when you drink more water instead of other drinks?
4. Does not drinking diet sodas help you with weight loss?
FUN: Do you remember when you first started carrying a purse every where you went? How old were you?

1. Did you know that not drinking enough water can even cause you to have a headache? YES2. It can cause muscle aches? YES3. Do you see a physical difference in the way you feel when you drink more water instead of other drinks? Hadn't thought about it4. Does not drinking diet sodas help you with weight loss? not really...but it helps with sore feet...not sure why but soda makes my feet hurt?FUN: Do you remember when you first started carrying a purse every where you went? How old were you? 6th grade...and the boys realized it wanting to know WHAT I had in my purse...and...it was a kotex or tampon or something like that as my period had started and mom said I needed to carry it in a purse...They stole it and looked inside...and shared what was in my purse...talk about coming of age and embarrassment aplenty!

Good reminders! I do know the importance of water and yet I seem to ignore what I know.
Fun: I don't really remember. I'm guessing 7th or 8th grade.

I haven't really noticed much those things about water. I do know that drinking enough water makes me have to go to the bathroom more often and get up more during the night. I quit drinking soda a long time ago. I don't remember at the time if I noticed any difference in my weight loss or not.
I don't remember either when I started carrying a purse. I suppose it was in my late teens or 20s when I started carrying money, keys, and other things (like tampons).

I am trying a week of drinking only water & my coffee (can't live without that). DH sure wouldn't want to live with me without it. I will keep you guys posted if I can tell any difference in the way I feel. If I can, I may continue for another week.
I don't think that drinking water has anything to to with actual weight loss, but it is good for your body to keep hydrated.
I don't actually remember when I started carrying a purse, I started to need the kotex things in 5th grade, so that was probably it. Now sometimes I just hate fooling with the darn thing, sometimes I will just carry a little wallet with money, credit card & ID in it. Don't you know, everytime that I do that, I will end up needing something out of the darn purse before I get home!!! The darn thing is like another appendage.

I have been pouring myself a large glass of water when I get to work and challenging myself to finish it before lunchtime. I discovered that in the winter, I don't really like ice water, so I nuke it for about 1 minute to take the chill off of it.
1. Did you know that not drinking enough water can even cause you to have a headache? Isn't one of the signs of dehydration headaches ? So (as Mary from the old WW boards would say) drink up !! 2. It can cause muscle aches? It can also cause cramping of muscles so that's why you need to drink especially if you are working out or exercising.3. Do you see a physical difference in the way you feel when you drink more water instead of other drinks? I pretty much drink only water and tea. Maybe the occasional soda (not diet, yuck ) like 1 time a month. 4. Does not drinking diet sodas help you with weight loss? Never drank diet sodas, so giving up regular soda did help. Back before I started WW, I drank a 32 oz Dr Pepper every day. Cutting out all those empty calories has helped.
FUN: Do you remember when you first started carrying a purse every where you went? How old were you? I don't remember carrying one in school. Had all my stuff thrown into my backpack. I don't really like to carry one now, but if I was ever to go on "Let's Make a Deal", I could win $$ for what is in my purse- tape measure, granola bar, pocket knife, all kinds of weird things.

Thanks for a great week Beverly. Iām ready for the new round to start tomorrow.
Iām gradually upping my water intake. I am using herbal tea as well as water. I do still have a diet lime coke as my caffeine source.
I have no idea when I started carrying a purse.
