Going to a friend's today. Taking coumar/fennel greens hubby collects as it was requested. Found an interesting prize winning young painter of portraits that I admire and can relate to the paintings of. Aleah Chapin...if interested she has done nudes of older women "The Aunties Project" and others...would like to find out what she is working on now. www.aleahchapin.com/about
What I Found interesting is that one critique called her work "grotesque" and another "cartoonish" and another "Rubenesque"...anyway...
CHERRY: I am not sure why the frost on the glass has disappeared...perhaps it is the glass or the new double panes make a difference?
BEVERLY: Hope you stay dry and your son's surgery goes well
LYNN: How is the person you are training doing with the job? I hope they won't have to call you in to help out if there are difficulties!
PAM: Sorry you couldn't get to the salon but am glad you stayed warm and cozy at home.

Good morning. Yesterday I had an appointment with my eye doctor. All was well, so I probably won't have to go back for quite some time. While I was in town I got a call from my clinical studies contact. I had gone last Friday to Minot for my appointment. I have fasting lab work so I can't eat anything until the appointment is over. Well, the call yesterday was to ask me to come back for the lab work because they (the lab) forgot to send it in to whomever does the testing. I am not a happy camper. It is a 100 mile trip each way. And I can't do the lab in town here. It has to be there because of the study. I'm thinking Friday looks the best weather-wise. Nothing much on my schedule today. I'm just staying home and doing only necessary household things. It's cloudy and foggy or there's snow in the air because I can't see the hills and it will not get above 10 degrees today. And it doesn't look like it will get much warmer for another week at least. I sure hope March starts improving. I think I'm a bit grumpy today. Have a nice day, beaches.

Good soggy morning,
The rain is coming down!! Schools are closed & most meetings, etc have been canceled. Thank God, this old house has a pretty good roof on it & we are on a hill. This is already the wettest Feb. on record & we still have like 8 days to go before the end of the month. Supposed to get a little break in the rain tomorrow & then start back Friday & Sat.
Not much planned for today at all. Need to clean the bathrooms & do a bit of laundry. We are supposed to go to SIL & BIL's for dinner, but I think we may put it off until tomorrow. We are supposed to get together for a meal every Wed. Seems like it always gets put off till Thurs. I think we should just change the day to Thurs.
Cathy, Paintings of elderly women in the nude? Does the artist need models? I look like a melting candle! LOL
DS's surgery went well, they don't think that he is going to need the shoulder replacement, so that is good news. He starts his therapy tomorrow. Glad that he doesn't have to get out today in all this mess. Hopefully the roads will be a little clearer tomorrow. This is the first surgery that he has ever had. He has been so blessed with good health. He is my oldest child. He just turned 54!! In recent years, he has developed high blood pressure, which I don't understand, he has never smoked, drank in excess or been overweight. I guess it is hereditary. DD on the other hand, has had every medical condition that I can think of. She is a heart patient (she will soon have a pace-maker), she needs a knee replacement (she is trying to put hat off for a couple of yrs.), She also needs a hysterectomy. The list goes on & on. She is extremely unhealthy. She has lymph problems in her right arm & hand. When she flies, she has to wrap both her arm & her right leg. She jokingly says she looks like a mummy. God love her, she has had her share of medical drama. DS#2 is fairly healthy. He just turned 40, so far, he has only had minor things. He does suffer from Gout, & had gall bladder surgery last yr. enough of my rambling.
Hope everyone has a great day. Stay safe!!

Good morning!
We are waiting for snow this afternoon. I am watching the sky very closely and I will get out of town really quickly and home. I have a nail appointment this evening, which I think I will have to cancel.
Bev, so glad DS's surgery went well. Cathy, I have to look up your artist when I get a chance. Cherry, what a bummer you have to go back and do the test over!! That is a huge distance to travel for a redo! Pam, I hope the snow settles down for awhile....The older I get, I have less patience for it.
I am waiting for the new person to come in so we can go over some things. I don't think he starts until noon today.
Have a great one! Stay warm and smile!!

Checking in late but I didn’t want skip it. I did get the laundry finished. Relaxing at home tonight. The snow is melting, so still planning to go to lunch at mom’s church tomorrow. We’ve missed a few times, so she is ready. Have a great evening everyone. See you tomorrow.
