Audrey, would you please share the recipe for that Swiss chard? It looked delicious. You know I would love it!
Cathy, good to see you back here! Looks like a good, workable plan.
Yes, indeed, June, those are soem powerful ingredients.
Susi, a long time ago when I moved from the westbank of NOLA to Lafayette, I would travel back ever so often to get marinated crab claws. It was kind of like a vinaigrette, with red onion slices. To this day, my tongue remembers how they tasted. LOL
Ann, we shall park it together. MY sinus problem has surely removed my ability to do much.
An actual funny from yesterday --- So, DD was going 1 town over to Walmart, looking for some more curtains, as ours didn't have enough.
I said I would ride along.
Me - where can I find flat-headed thumbtacks?
Her - either in hardware or school supplies.
Me - k
Her - (in school supplies) Here you go. (handing me a package of push pins)
Me - no, ma'am. I need flat headed thumbtacks.
She continues to look, and then hands me what I need.
Her - And they even call them thumbtacks.
Do any of you older folks just ever wonder if the ship dropped us on the wrong planet? Or should I hire an interpreter when I go grocery shopping?

Good morning all.Hopefully another day of staying OP,getting in my water and most of the GHG's and exercise. No sun today so it will be the recumbent bike.
Great plan June.I hope you parents are well.
Susi I'm glad you enjoyed the garlic crabs.Enjoy the sightseeing this weekend and your cooking is definitely top chef level.
Audrey Your dinner last night and tonight both sound great.Enjoy your new sunglasses.
Bee Always great plans and I hope you see the sun today.Ours is already gone for a few days.
Cathy I agree with Susi.Maybe increasing your activity 5 minutes a week at first would be more doable.Love your goals.
MJ Drive careful on those slushy roads. That is such a worthy cause.

Bee I'm glad you were able to avoid the wintry mess. It's always nice to get back to normal.I hope your sinus problems improve soon.
Bee LOL at your Walmart incident. We only need an interpreter when we go to Walmart. We have had many problems with our local Walmart.Once my DH went in there looking for antifreeze for under 32 degree weather and the associate told him they didn't stock it because it never got that cold in Texas. The next morning it was 22 degrees.
We are making a quick trip to Walmart this morning but I don't think we are getting anything we have to ask them about fortunately.
Have a great day all.

Bee thanks for that story. I got a good 'work out' with that belly laugh which I call jogging on the inside Becky also enjoyed your WalMart story re: the antifreeze Our life insurance man made it and was actually early. We signed the papers and gave him the check for the this month. Now it will come out electronically. I like that! Wishing AWF a wonderful Thursday. I'm going to finish up on the desktop and relax. Doctor ANN'S orders

I'm in. Busy day at work but I'm taking a quick lunch break. OP so far and that will continue Activity has been lacking this week due to the rain and cold but I'll get some in over the weekend I am sure. June so glad you slept well, I did, to! Hope you find your parents well. Susi, sounds like the visit with DB is going well, so glad you are getting this quality time together. Enjoy the risotto! Audrey, great job! I'd love to have a taste of those vegetables. Bee, hope we both get some sun tomorrow! This has been the rainiest fall winter I can remember. I've never called them flat heads but it makes sense to me! Cathy, great to see you MJ, be careful out and about in the bad weather. hope you find lots of goodies at the craft store. Ann, what did you have for your birthday meal...sorry if I missed it. Don' t blame you for not going out in the inclement weather. Becky, great job getting your activity indoors. I fail miserably at that. I will sometime do a house walk but I just don't like doing the recumbent or treadmill. I LOVE walking outdoors. Ready for spring!

Hi LaDonna....not sure if you missed it or not as I don't remember if I said LOL....that's the downside of the aging process LOL. Like you, I've not been active in this 'weather'. Hopefully that will change.
Yesterday Carl had a fisherman's platter. Brought a lot of it home where he enjoyed it for supper.
I ordered a rustic burger that had peppered mozzarella cheese, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions and horseradish sauce with seasoned french fries. It was HUGE and I ended up eating only half of it. I wasn't that hungry for supper, so I had a quarter of that with a few fries. Needless to say today I'm chug a lugging the water LOL. It was well worth it.
I'm having a wonderful day of just doin' absolutely nothing LOL......going to get back to my kindle.

Ann, sounds amazing! I really love good french fries but rarely eat anymore. There's a little restaurant in Edisto Beach that does beer battered fries and they are so so good. I do better to just sneak a few of Randy's when we go that burger sounds good too...esp the peppered mozzarella!

MJ - Hopefully by now everything has melted. It was fine dogs walking this morning. Enjoy the afternoon of not much. June - Barnegat Light House, Museum of NJ Maritime History and Viking Village (if any of it is open at this time of year) are definitely on the list. Dutch Wagon Amish Market as scrapple is something he can't find in Denver. His breakfast every morning here is pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll and his lunch every day is White Castle fried clam strips, because they too are not available in Denver. They will stop at the Italian market in Philly for cacciatore sausages. Ann - no A beautiful red cardinal touched down on his bowl. LOL Bee! I'm more frightened of the cashiers who do not know how to make change! Happy Shopping Becky. I posted a picture of them on FB. LaDonna - Sorry you have been missing out on your walking. Hope the weather turns soon.

For some reason I got the Walmart story wrong. My DH was wanting some windshield wiper fluid(not antifreeze)but the employee still said the same thing. It doesn't get that cold in TX.It was still funny.
Ann I'm glad the life insurance agent showed up.Be sure and follow Dr Ann's orders.
LaDonna Good for you on the string of OP days.I like my recumbent bike and I don't have a TM but I don't like TM's anyway. It's much nicer being able to walk outside but it's either too cool during the winter it seems like(for us that is)or too hot in the summer which is why I like the recumbent bike.
Ann Your burger from yesterday sounds good.Doing nothing sounds good sometimes.
Susi I agree on the cashiers. If it weren't for computers some cashiers wouldn't be able to count change.Enjoy the time with your brother.

Home from a fun lunch with mom and her friends. Mom and dd both got to celebrate their birthdays. There was a jazz pianist who played delightful jazz pieces. Lots of toe tapping.
Food has been tracked and will continue to tonight. Fingers crossed I will be able to make it to a salon tomorrow morning. This will keep me focused on blue.
Have a good evening everyone.
