Sleep well June. Good job on planning dinner. Hope your parents are doing well. We just got back from dinner. My garlic crabs were delicious. I was able to order the appetizer portion (6 instead of 12) which was plenty, even with giving my brother one. Everyone's dinner was excellent. Due to the weather we had the place almost to ourselves. Also due to weather, he will not be able to fly to NC tomorrow. They will go to Philly tomorrow instead of Saturday with the 3 of us and we will do local on Saturday. I've already done all the sightseeing things there numerous times so I don't mind. I'm also cooking dinner on Saturday. It will be an odd combo of bbq baby back ribs and risotto alla Milanese. The risotto was a last minute request after Carol told him that I make it as good as our dad did. Having lived in Colorado for the past 40 years and rarely visiting, he has no clue how far my cooking has coming since I was in my 20s.

June, great plans for the day. Susi, I would love garlic crabs. Your cooking is beyond gourmet yet you maintain your weight with exercise and paying attention to what you are eating. You prove that no one has to eat diet foods to lose and maintain weight. Our meal was delicious last night with grilled pork chop saw to chard with garlic and blistered tomatoes and olives. I had one small piece of pork and more vegetables and we both had salads. Today I just have to pick up my new sunglasses. The handyman is coming to continue putting in the can lighting. Dinner is lemon herb time turkey burgers which came prepared that way from the local grocery store. I will make vegetables and salad and keep it a non-splurge day in preparation for the weekend which always has a splurge or two. Hope we all have a wonderful day.

Yes, June, great plans.
Those garlic crabs sound delicious, Susi. Enjoy your time with family.
Audrey, your dinner sounds good. Love chard sauteed with garlic --- in fact any green sauteed with garlic is a friend of mine.
I am willing to be willing. And to be AWARE while I drink my water.
I sure hope we see some sun tomorrow.
Hope AWF have a marvelous day!

Bee, I think you'd love the way I did the vegetables. Next time I'll make them and forget the pork.

After yesterday...
I can/will:
* record my meals * make sure to hit the GHG's * continue with the exercise plan (increase five minutes daily)
PS - Hope to stick with this group this time!

Audrey - Anything with garlic makes it better! I think lamb chops with garlic herb sauce and asparagus will likely be dinner tonight. I get most of my starches in early in the day. Bee - I hope we all get some sunshine! Cathy - Good to see you. How about 5 minutes per week? You can drop in whenever it suits you.

Susi
Awww... what a wonderful way to "include" your father around the dinner table by preparing one of his signature dishes. Hope you all share lots of happy family memories in the kitchen Am glad that you have time time together. What sites are on the agenda? When will you see the cousins? I wondered if the plans to fly to NC would prove feasible.
Thx! I slept like the dead per usual.

Good morning, all!
Prayers continue... esp for our ailing posters & Loved Ones... and those under particular stress... and {{{HUGS}}}... and thankYouThankYouTHANKYOU for your prayers for me and my family...
❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️
DivaTaxi & MHMR are back on schedule. We only got about 2"-3" of snow with freezing rain on top, but it never froze up. The slush is slippery; however, it is walkable/driveable with reasonable caution. Amazin'Grace is all cleared off and warmed up and ready to roll.
Today's forecast is for clearing skies and temps in the 50s.
I have a couple of errands and a couple of tasks, and then I will settle in for an afternoon of Not Much. I have been knitting scarves for the Seamen's Church Institute (my carry-along project) and I need to gather up this latest batch, weave in any loose ends, and box 'em up. Then I can review my yarn stash and check out sales at AC Moore, LOL.
Time for coffee... ☕️☕️☕️...
❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️🌨🌧🌨❄️

Audrey Can understand how you consider having just the Swiss chard dish for dinner next time. Your vegetable entree made my mouth water. What is it about garlic? Even a plain Jane eater like me enjoys it.
Sounds like you have a manageable day ahead.
Bee j Those aware glasses suit you! You, Susi, andAudrey are making me hungry for something made w/ garlic, lemon, and olive oil. So many possibilities...
Cathy Hi! I was just thinking of you yesterday and sending you good wishes. Nice to "see" you!

Mj So-- it's business as usual for you and Amazin' Grace. Yes, slush can make for tricky driving conditions. And then there are those hidden pot holes. I also completely avoided yesterday's whole wintry mess just because I could, but am on my normal schedule today.
That is such ar worthy cause, Mj, and a smart way to use "down" time and occupy your hands.

Good morning all. Another fan of garlic here LOL. It truly does liven up a lot of foods June happy you slept well Enjoy that soothing bubble bath Susi happy that you are enjoying a nice time with your brother. Safe travels. Audrey good luck with picking up your sunglasses and with the handyman. Your dinner sounded really good to me as well. WB Cathy MJ be careful with your 'slush'. That's just as dangerous as the horrid freezing rain. We woke up to 'snow' this a.m. Luckily we don't need to travel in it. Our life insurance guy is supposed to come and drop off our policy today. He has a long haul, so should he call to postpone that will be fine with us. I doubt I'm going to make my weight watcher meeting tonight. I think I just want to park it at home today. After the bday meal yesterday.....the water jug is out...the aware glasses are on and the re-set button has been pushed LOL. Waving to all and wishing all a great OP Thursday!
