QOTD:
As the new round starts today, what 3 things do you need to do today?

1. Continue on with my plan of only having water to drink for a week. 2. Hopefully be able to make good choices when I go to SIL's for dinner this afternoon. 3. Get in enough exercise to improve my general well being.

Buy a new coffee maker. This is at the top of the list. I brew my tea in the coffee maker (don't drink coffee) and program it at night so that there is a pot of hot tea when I get up. This morning I got up, the coffee maker was on but nothing had happened. The heating plate was cold and the water was still in the reservoir. I had to make tea in a saucepan.
Get in my 10K steps. My morning walking buddy has stitches in her foot, so we are only walking for about 1/2 hour in the morning instead of our usual hour.
Drink my water.

jan , I make herbal tea every morning to last the entire day. I use an 8-cup Pyrex measuring cup and fill it a little past the 8-cup mark (to adjust for evaporation). I add the tea (either loose tea in a "tea egg" or one or more tea bags depending on how strong it is). I put the Pyrex cup into the microwave and set the timer for about 12 minutes (could easily be 16 or more minutes, but I don't want to burn my tongue). Then I take my shower and get dressed (and sometimes check my email) before returning to the kitchen to pour the already brewed tea into travel mugs to bring with me all day long. It can also be done for one or two cups of tea. The general rule is a 6-oz cup of water will boil in two and a half minutes. Herbal tea shouldn't be boiled, so I decrease the time for what I drink.

My day is winding down, but I still need to/have done: 1. have done - reached 10,000 steps (I thought this would be a "need to do" but I just looked and I'm at 10,045) 2. Need to - Achieve my daily goal for this round of the challenge. I will take 5 minutes to write. I'll reflect, plan, be grateful! 3. have done - some grocery shopping because it's supposed to snow (again!) Friday and Saturday. *sigh*

Holly, I went at lunch and bought another coffee maker. However, I had to order it, so may not have it until Monday. I have a glass pyrex measuring cup, so that might become my way to brew tea for the next few days.
