I overindulged yesterday so need to be back on track today! Homemade bread and jam and labne and delicious garbanzo beans made in the oven in a pottery pot and...oh my! Ah well...it is behind me and now...healthy meals today!
CHERRY: I would be upset to get the phone call you did, too! 200 miles on the road is HOURS and in bad weather? Not a fun thought at all! I can see why you are grumpy! I hope you can get there and back without trouble and that you can do something fun while in Minot since you are going to be there...what IS there to do in Minot?
BEVERLY: Glad you are safe from the floods! Good to hear your son's surgery went well. Sorry your daughter has so many medical issues to contend with. As for the artist and old naked lady paintings...I think I should sign up with her, too! I saw myself in a few of those paintings
LYNN: Hope you made it home before the blizzard! Just think...SOON you will be retired and your time all your own!
PAM: Hope your mom enjoys lunch at her church. Glad you have so much family nearby to enjoy time with!

Good morning. I get to pick the day I go to Minot, and tomorrow looks like the best day. It is supposed to be sunny with not much wind. The high is only about 14, but I can tolerate that. It takes a little over an hour and a half driving time each way, so it isn't all that bad in decent weather. And I won't have to wait so long until I can get something to eat. I'll probably check out the mall after I get some breakfast. There are a few other stores worth browsing too, but I'll probably have had enough when I'm done at the mall. Minot is quite a bit larger than Williston, which is the largest city in my area. We don't have a mall.
My furnace got fixed a couple days ago. They came out with the part for it and installed it, so now I can use either electric or propane. I have no idea yet how much it cost, as they haven't sent a bill yet. But whatever the cost it is nice to have it working properly again.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Good morning ladies!
Cathy, homemade bread and jam!! Yum, Yum. I don't think I could have turned that down either. I have never met a piece of bread I didn't like. Hopefully, my SIL won't have anything too bad when we go to her house for dinner today. Knowing her, there is no telling.
Cherry, I used to work with a fellow who had lived in Minot. He said there was a nice zoo there. Be careful on the roads.
Lynn, maybe, just maybe, this will be the last blizzard of the season, though it looks as though another one is brewing in the west.
Pam, lunch at the church with your Mom & sister is very special. Treasure every one of these moments.
We finally have a short break in the rain today. It is supposed to start up again tonight & rain all day tomorrow & Sat. Schools are closed because of the flooding. Sat. is the monthly day at the soup kitchen, I don't know if they will cancel. We serve a lot of families with young children, so they may postpone it if there are storms. Weatherman said we may even have tornadoes on Sat. YIKES!
Have a great day everyone!

What a wonderful lunch and then a jazz pianist played wonderful music. It was a delightful afternoon. Home and relaxing now. Have a good evening and keep finding reasons to smile.
