WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. I really hope today is the day DS and I finish his math course. He came home last night and worked on his own, but the section he was on was on matrices. He came in and said how hard it was. Not sure how much he was able to do. I thought he just had unit tests left but apparently he has a little more material to cover. I donโt remember learning about matrices, but I must have. I pulled it up on Kahn academy this morning and weโll work from that this afternoon.
My commitment to no sugar this week has remained intact. Iโm grateful for that. I stopped to get a piece of salmon for dinner last night and decided to treat myself when I saw they had vegan โchickenโ enchiladas. It was delicious and very filling.
Happy Friday, ladies.

Happy Friday!!
Nancy, Thinking of you!! Have a Wonderful Weekend celebrating DH's 90th Birthday!! I know he is going to LOVE is gift!!
Jan, Fingers are crossed the math course gets complete...for both of you! I think I stopped helping my kids with math in 5th grade...it's just so different. Nice that you treated yourself to a delicious, healthy dinner! Growing up with four brothers I use to hide the goodies, otherwise I wouldn't get any (I think that's how my binging started), now I hide the healthy food...so glad things have changed for the better....
Kathy, Wonderful to hear how well you are doing!! March 3 is around the corner, I know you can do it! and you will feel GREAT!!!
Today is my GF, coworker's, 60th birthday - I passed up the muffins and bagels this morning. Lunch time, we are having a cake for her. I want to participate in the celebration but don't want the sugar to set me off for the weekend, so this morning I made myself a mug cake (they are so big I eat 1/2 at a time -with my yogurt frosting = 1 sp). This way I can have my cake and eat it too...lol I have been slacking off on my step count....I start out strong the beginning of the week and by Thursday I can't seem to get moving....I'll have to work on that...I am sticking to my 2 days of strength training and 2 days of Pilates...
Have a great Friday everyone!
