This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning.
Friday! Again, no plans to leave the house today because of the weather situation. Today is just supposed to be more of the same. Bright side: you might have seen that I mentioned that the lady who saw the ATL house Wed night was going back last night with her husband. Well late last night we got an email from our agent - she received an email from the showing agent stating that her clients were very interested and that she would sending over an offer today. So, I'm holding my breath but hoping for a decent offer. We have a lot of wiggle room between the current asking price and our rock bottom, so hopefully their offer will fall in line. Fingers crossed.
Not much else here. I hear that the coffee is brewed, so I'll BBL.

Good morning Lora and ATF. I was up early this morning, before 5, nothing like a dry mouth to get you going, hahaha. I'm going back to work today although what would be optimal is another day at home. We'll see how I feel. If I need to leave early I will. I canceled PT this morning, knew I wasn't up to that. Am supposed to have dinner with a DF but we'll see if I have the stamina for that. I'm feeling a lot better, just kind of weak with a bit of a cough and runny nose still. This particular bug really did a number on me but it's also the case I'm less willing to be a martyr and drag myself into work out of some sort of misguided sense of self importance and need to model a good work ethic for my staff. If they were sick, I'd rather they stay home than bring their germs to work, so same for me, right?
Lora, you sound snug and content at home, glad cabin fever hasn't set in yet and hopefully by the time it does, your weather will clear. Enough already, right? Congrats on the impending offer on your house. It sounds and looks pretty special. I'd be really surprised if it's on the market long.
Weather here is cloudy and in the 40's with wind today, so not pleasant to be outside. Then it's the weekend!!! On Saturday I have no plans except food shopping, but on Sunday want to get to yoga and then my BLE group is getting together again but a little closer to home this time, which is good for me since I'm not hitting on all cylinders yet. I have to do some other shopping, need a new food journal (I write all my meals down the night before), and my pots and pans are all pretty scraped up and I know scraped up non-stick surface is not good for my health. So maybe a trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond as well.
Have a great day all. What are everyone's weekend plans?

Andi - glad to hear that you can leave work early should you need to do so. I hope your mending continues and you'll be much improved in time to enjoy a little of your weekend time. We have no real weekend plans beyond the grocery store - and then I'm not even sure where we'll shop. Whether it be one of the towns 15 miles away, or if we'll go to the "city" so that we can include Costco in the shop. We haven't even discussed it yet. We're just taking one soggy day at a time. Yep, no cabin fever yet. Weird, huh?

Good morning everyone -
WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY. I feel like I have a lot going on right now but most of it is exciting stuff I'm looking forward to - youngest nephew and my niece are coming over tonight (they'll be a handful but I like them) then may do some stuff tomorrow with 2 different friends, then some stuff next week (very hush hush but send me good vibes *wink*) then I go to Disney!
Somehow got away with only scheduling one meeting for myself today - so I have time to actually do the stuff I've been saying I'd do for months. Time to get to it!

Good Morning - yep rain, rain, but made it to my gym class, then ran home to get my coffee and leave for PT with DH - he was headed to the car when I got home. The only other thing definitely planned today is aqua therapy for DH - so I think I will go back to the gym with him to ride the bike leisurely and read ( I’ve had enough of a workout for today).
Oh Lora - sure hope you get a good offer and all the house worries will be OVER!
Andi - good to hear that you are continuing to improve. Great that you will meet with the BLE group again and that it is closer to home
Amanda - eager to hear what is going on !!

Good afternoon all.
Happy Friday.
My boss told me this morning to head out of here around 12:30 today - so that is exactly what I am going to do. I have been working on budget spreadsheets this morning and I think I finally have it in a format that my leads will understand. We shall see.
We are meeting DFs for an early dinner tonight at a Mexican Restaurant and then heading to their house to play games. I have not spent any time with them at all this year and I am looking forward to seeing them and hanging out.
Received a phone call from surgeon this morning and they are emailing me some paperwork and information that I need for my May 1st procedure. (details on prices, due dates, pre-op visits and requirements, etc) I am still excited and giddy about the whole thing. I won't know exactly what I will be doing until mid-March because that is when I will receive my bonus check. I have my fingers crossed that I can do both of the procedures I want to do but I know I will be doing at least one of them.
Will also be working on getting DD's car out of my name and into her name. Now that she has a job and a steady income I HOPE we can get this done relatively easily.
Lora congrats on the possible offer on the house. I hope it falls where you want it to fall. Fingers crossed.
Susie I am OVER our weather. I am so tired of mud!
Andi glad to hear that you are continuing to feel better. I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Amanda sounds like you have some exciting and fun things in your future! I am excited for you.

Wow! We got the offer a little while ago. I must say that it's more than I was thinking it would be, they are asking for us to pay toward closings costs....which makes it wash out to about what I expected I suppose (maybe a little more). We're waiting for their pre-qualification letter to come through. We should have in in the next few hours. We have until noon tomorrow to counter. But honestly, this looks pretty good and very fair for both sides. Anyway, we'll wait to get the pre-qualification then we have a call with our agent tonight to make sure we're not missing anything in the legalese of this offer. But at this moment, I'm optimistically hopeful. Not bad for a week on the market, huh? Lol.

Wonderful news, Lora. Are you going to counter?

Andi - we'll discuss strategy with our agent this evening. I mean, I know we're expected to counter, but I would also be happy to accept, and get the ball rolling. Their offer listed the potential closing date as March 26th. That would mean just one more dual mortgage payment. Once we see their pre-qualification document, we'll probably know a little bit more. But bottom line, we'll either counter or accept. What they've offered is pretty fair, and we would walk away in very good shape. We're not looking to make a killing, we'd prefer to sell the house knowing that both parties got a fair deal. It's just kind of the way we work....I deeply believe in Karma. haha.

Lora, what they are offering is called a seller's concession. That is the only way they can finance their closing costs. The amount cannot exceed the closing costs, and the house has to appraise for the higher amount. It is great to get an offer early, but you have to think of their offer as being the amount you will be getting. To make it simple, let's say they want to offer $200,000 for your house, and want to put 10% down. They would have to pay $20,000, plus closing costs, which for example are $5000. They would have to come up with $25,000. If you up the price to $205,000, and they use the $5000 towards the closing costs, they can put down $20,500 and it would still be 90% financing.
Andi, your weather sounds just like ours. Nice that the BLE get together is closer for you. Sounds like it would be a fun thing to do.
Jana, hopefully you will have a great weekend, I did not read back, but sounds like you are going forward with the surgery.
Susie, aquatherapy is great. Glad your DH can do that.
Amanda, like you said, it's finally Friday.
I had a busy week, taking over for our receptionist answering phones and making appointments with follow ups. I played mah jongg last night, and had a winning night. Just a lucky one, but have had some very unlucky mah jongg weeks recently.
