Not much planned for the weekend. This afternoon I'll go in to town for Mass, then go get a latte at a new Starbucks that just opened in one of the grocery stores in town. At least they were scheduled to open yesterday, so we'll see. The opening had been postponed for a week as they were getting behind. Hopefully it actually opened yesterday.

Non-eventful weekend. Trying to stay dry, we have had, by far, the wettest Feb. on record, & the rain is still coming down!
Helping at the soup kitchen today, church services later. Nothing planned for tomorrow.

1. Focusing on the good things - which I admit is taking some intentional effort. There's more snow/winter precipitation/blizzard warning for this weekend. Volunteer event canceled. Using my 5 minutes of reflection time (goal) to look past that at all the truly wonderful things in my life. 2. Prep food, as usual, for week. Cooking some chicken breast, making a veggie dip from yogurt. 3. Since there's no real reason to go out in the weather, I'll use the time to do some reading & on-line certification training for work. Positive thing - I'll get some credit hours and I won't be caught in a crunch when my re-certification is due. 4. Assuming I'll get some great activity points for snow shoveling on Sunday (we have a snow blower -yay, another really positive thing!), but some areas still need to be shoveled by hand.

Have been recording old movies being shown on TCM (Turner Classic Movies). Last night we watched The Philadelphia Story (and we'll also watch High Society, the "remake" musical). We also have Casablanca waiting for us and close to another dozen incredible classic movies (most in color, but many in black & white).
Today I'm teaching both kids and adult ed at several locations around the county. Excited mostly about the last two (one class with students and their parents doing cooperative work, and the adult ed class is about gratitude). Looking forward to my day!

I will focus on doing a few things around the house, taking my time & doing what I like.
Looking forward to the Oscars tonight, excited for the "Queen" opening act.
