Two pieces of good news: 1. Yesterday's mail included a deferral for Grand Jury duty; I am called now for 7/22. This means that I can do all the extra medStuff without "every Thursday for 18 weeks" hanging over my head - not to mention my usual MHMR will not be affected. 2. I have downloaded a PDF and printed out my updated Medicare card, that includes Part B effective from 2/1. This means that I will NOT be liable for the cost of the MRI, since I can now PROVE that I've got coverage <whew!>.
One piece of <oy>: Also in Saturday's mail was the payment book for Medicare Part D. I indicated (on both my and Toots' applications) that we wanted the cost deducted from our SocSec payments, so I will call tomorrow to be sure that this is just "the computer spitting out The Usual Thing".
THEN, perhaps, all our li'l medInsurance ducks will be in a row... I know that our supplement plan is hitting my credit card.

I am about finished my pot of coffee. Had some oatmeal for breakfast. In a bit DD and I will go visit a shut in. She is 92 years old, w/c bound, but still laughs and smiles her way through the day. A blessing to behold. According to Reader's Digest the best food for our brains are --- Walnuts, eggs, blueberries, wine and champagne, avocados, kale and cruciferous veggies, salmon, coffee and whole grains. I fall short on the salmon and the wine/champagne.For those of us who like to read --- www.rd.com/health/wellness/why-reading-is-important/Today we have sunrise! First time a sunrise in almost a week. I am blessed beyond description.

Yeah MJ.....great news. Hopefully it's just a computer glitch.
Bee what a beautiful photo. You truly are blessed. Enjoy your visit.
I'm not a salmon kale or champagne gal lol.

Last night baby Hayes Was taken to Valley children’s hospital with severe dehydration from vomiting and diarrhea. He was given fluids and Zofran and he went home at 1 AM. This morning he is lethargic but appears to be a bit better.Babies get hit so hard with viruses. I had a bad relapse and coughed steadily for an hour when I went to bed.I ended up sleeping in the spare room and my husband didn’t even notice I was gone. The cat kept me company and awake when I wanted to sleep. I had no NyQuil at home . Bob is buying me it and a throat spray. I call the doctor tomorrow at 9. June I loved A Star is Born, Roma, Bohemian Rhapsody but my favorite is Green Book. I watched The Wife last night. Glenn Close is superb.

Sunshine and blue skies. We are going to my mom’s to celebrate dd’s b-day with her grandma and aunts. I think we’re ordering in, so i’ll choose mindfully. Time with family is always fun. Drinking water and smiling will be key for me. I’m definitely aiming to stay blue.

Hi Ladies, Been a busy but OP day. Friday and Sat I veered a little off course but did not do too bad. In the past veering off would lead to binge eating. So I am considering the past two days a victory even though I wasn't totally OP. Today is a different story. Back on the straight and narrow and that shall continue through out the day and week. I got a house walk in yesterday and today as it has been raining. The sun is actually out now but the wind is horrible. I went to church this morning then rode to Walmart and picked up a few personal items I needed and then stopped back by ALdi. I was very disappointed in the produce at Sams Friday evening. I wanted blackberries and they were out. The blueberries I picked up were over ripe. Found a better selection of things today at Aldi. Ann, that salad sounds good! When we were in Edisto last weekend I too ordered a salad with buffalo chicken and it was very good. I'll definitely have it again when we go back. June great plan to stay on track at the shower. Great gift, too! Glad to hear your parents are well. Audrey, so sorry to hear that you and Hayes are so sick..hope it will pass quickly. I want to see a Star is Born but I've just not taken the time to do so yet. Becky, the wind is bad here too. Its not cold thankfully. great plans to be OP Cathy, thats the way to do it! MJ, I sure do love a good smelling candle Susi, so special that you got to do some great activities with your brother this weekend. We enjoy concerts too. Bee, thanks for the link and enjoy that beautiful sunshine! Pam enjoy the birthday festivities.

Ann I'm sorry you had such dreary weather. While the wind wasn't as bad as yesterday it still made the air feel a little chilly but I can't complain with the sun out and 62 degrees when I walked this afternoon.
MJ I'm glad your jury duty was deferred.I know being able to download your updated Medicare card was a relief especially since it shows it was effective 2/1.I hope you can find out why you got the payment bood instead of it coming out of your SS.We both have our Medicare taken out of our SS checks but have our Medicare Advantage Plans taken out of our checking account.
Bee What a beautiful picture of your sunrise.
Audrey I hope baby Hayes is doing better today after being in the hospital.I hope you have a better night and hopefully you can get ABX in the morning.
Pam I hope you enjoyed the birthday celebration.
LaDonna It's a shame it has been raining all weekend but good for you doing your walking in the house. Also good for you getting back on track today.I hope you enjoyed your church service. We were going but at the last minute my DH wanted to go take some things to a friend of ours and it was a good day for a drive.
