I finished the dress yesterday. Pricked my fingers with the needle a LOT but no blood on the dress. The stitches are not as small and tidy as they might have been the past BUT I have a wearable dress for summer that is made of beautiful material!
Today we will go grocery shopping - did not go yesterday - need produce and other things.
I have black beans soaking and will cook them tomorrow along with a grain for the week.
We will talk to family via Skype...whoever is available.
It will be a good day.
CHERRRY: Glad the trip to Minot went well and hope you enjoyed that breakfast at Denny's.
BEVERLY: How do you take huge salads and such to the soup kitchen? How did it go? Were there many there?
LYNN: I need to look up chicken chili...I have seen white chili with chicken in it but not chicken chili. My sister says she makes jalapeno chicken...not sure what that is eiither!
PAM: Sounds like a splendid weekend!

Good morning!!
It is raining cats and dogs here, but it is nice for a lazy Sunday morning. I got out everything I need for my chili and will start it soon.
Nothing much else to report...laundry still not on but will be in a bit. DD has a head cold and is all stuffed up.
Have a great day!

Good morning. Nothing much going on here today. I have no special plans, just do what I feel like doing. It's still cold, -11. I'll be so glad when it starts warming up. It seems like we've gotten all our winter in February.
I think it's time to make another pot of soup. Not sure what kind, but I do have beef to use up. I'll add a variety of veggies and beans, I guess.
Have a good day, beaches.

Good morning ladies!
We have survived the rain!!! Yesterday was terrible, it rained slowly all night Fri night & most of the day on Sat. Then late yesterday afternoon, the storm clouds came. It absolutely came a flood!!! then another flood, then another. We had gone to 5 pm church services, it was just raining lightly on thee way there, while we were in church, the bottom fell out. We could barely see to drive home, streets were flooded. So many areas were without electricity that the street lights were off in some areas. It is normally only about a 10 min drive, it took us 30 harrowing min. But today, the sun is shinning!! It is cooler, I think about 45, yesterday it was into the 70s, hence the storms. There are lots of areas that are under water, but thankfully, our house is on a hill.
The soup kitchen went well. I took a large tray of green salad & some cookies. SIL carried baked ziti. It went well, the crowd was down because of the weather, but still a success.
I have made so many pots of soups & chili over the last few weeks, I am thinking of something different today, maybe just a simple hamburger steak, baked potato & salad.
Hope your Sunday is filled with people you love & things that you enjoy!
