WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. It wasnโt his day yesterday. His first opponent was tough, and he made a couple of crucial mistakes. Just before his second match he was saying his opponent was good and that he was looking forward to a Big Mac, fries, and a shamrock shake. (Meaning heโd be done with weigh ins.) DH and I feel like he didnโt give 100% in his second match. We watched it happen in swim sectionals last year too. So Iโm sad this morning that he threw in the towel and that his season is over.
Kathy, whoo hoo on your weigh in! My kids have used IXL before too. Iโve found the Kahn Academy videos to be helpful.
Lori, love that people asked for your mug cake recipe!
Nancy, I hope you are having a wonderful, special weekend!

C39. D15. OP. Tracking. Exercise. I got in a 6 mile walk between blizzards. With my 2 big dogs- one of which has gotten really fat this winter due to no walks. Snowed in today with 50mph winds causing huge drifts and no visibility. I stocked up at the grocery store yesterday. Lori - great ideas with the Joseph's pita bread. I will look for that. Jan - eager to here how wrestling went. Namcy - party on! :-) Hey all - I made the three point pizza crust from this FREE on line low WW cookbook. It was fabulous!! I topped with chicken sausage onions, chunky tomato sauce, and whatever veggies sounded good. Total for an entire nice size personal pizza was 6 points. I've downloaded to my laptop www.theguiltfreegourmet.netIt's not perfect for me because I don't use artificial sweeteners, but some nice hacks. Hi to all who folllow!!

Jan - missed your post. Sorry to hear about the last march. Sounds like he was done with it mentally. Is he a senior? Is this his last year?

Having the best time ever. The boys are out picking up dinner. DH hasn't seen his gift yet but it's all set up. They got him a huge high intensity, high resolution, high density monitor for his computer. It's gorgeous. He'll be upset at the expense but he'll LOVE it. They're not presenting it but will let him just find it. I can't wait. I'll give him the ring at dinner. Our aide Janet whom he loves is joining us for dinner. Yesterday was fabulous. DS-NJ and DGK-16 have joined us for the whole weekend. DGK-6 adores her and visa versa. They are both adorable beyond measure. Talk about being grateful. The food so-so but who cares. Nowhere near binge territory and I have all next week to play catch up.
Lori - Thanks for the pita instructions. So you fill them after air frying, right?
Jan - Sorry about the match but it was a good season and next year will start fresh with no mistakes in it.
Kathy - WTG at D15. It's getting so exciting to see each of your posts. 6 days to go. Not sure I could have the cinnamon buns around. Good luck with that <g>

So funny. I had ordered a ring sizer from Amazon so that after giving the gift we can figure his real size. It never occurred to me he'd notice that order. So he knew what was coming <g>. We had a good laugh. He did love it though and was happier to have it than I expected. He loves the monitor too after getting real upset that they bought it. Once he got past that and sat down with it, he realizes how great it is to have such a large monitor with such high resolution. Dinner was great. Of course DS's had to stop somewhere else to add to the order - clam chowder (both red and white) and steamed clams. Actually both were delicious. Enough food for an army. DDIL is out of town though, so DS and DGK-NJ went home with tons of leftovers. Everything cleaned up and away. Tonight we'll all watch the Oscars.
Lori - Good that you were able to have a few unplanned snacks without too much damage. Like me, you have a whole week to play catch up.
