Chele, thanks for checking in. Remember you used to have two of those "he who will not be ignored"s. Did you do anything special or just the usual laundry, cooking, etc.? Hope you can carve out a little "me" time. Is your weather better today? It's only in the 40s but we have bright sunshine and it feels really good after so much rain. Lake is about 5 feet below full pool.
I now have 2 unbandaged, recovering feet. Doc says they look good, but I told Dale I don't think I'll be bouncing back as quickly from this one because the last time I still had one non-surgical foot. I managed to get an unsupervised shower, which was nice. I thought I slept well last night but not according to Fitbit and I'm feeling rather tired after my trip. I tried meditation to fall asleep last night and it worked pretty well, staying asleep until about 4 am. Then couldn't fall back to sleep. And I didn't get much deep sleep, sorry to say. Hoping for better tonight.
Waving to the rest of the gang!

Good afternoon chicks and thanks for the start Karen.
Karen - hope you are feeling better today and have a good day with the doctor. We did not book the KDH house as Gary didn't want to cooperate with looking and the week I wanted was filled. I am back to looking once again. We have used Sun Realty, Seaside Vacations, Beach Realty and Twiddy when we first started going to Corolla. The start of a headache so I am taking some Sinol tension headache spray and an Excedrin. It's too warm in the office but very chilly and windy outside. Gary stayed home today with belly issues that had him up all night. I have reusable swag bags from the realtors that work nicely for the grocery and assorted items.
Chele - welcome back to he who must be busy! I hope your day has been going alright and not too hectic. More cold and windy weather for us tomorrow with the possibility of snow Wed. into Thurs.
Linda - glad it warmed up enough to take the plankets off. I enjoyed the poem from yesterday. How's the tummy today with that indigestion?
Becky - did the weather hold up again for today with decent temps? I hope you were able to get out and do your walking.
Kathy - OMG, this is the last few days for you, correct? BIG TIME count down!! Are they treating you alright this week?
I am off to fight the forces of evil once again dear ladies! Have a safe and good afternoon and evening!! Ciao for now~

Karen, I am happy to hear the doc gave you the all clear. I bet it felt really good to shower under your own power. Meditation is a good way to fall asleep. I hope you can get better sleep soon. I do remember having two needy males in my life. I would do it all over again. It is frigid today. The wind really made the temps drop, but we have sunshine so I am not complaining. The Gardein āmeatā balls are soy based and very good.
Liz, good to see you on a Monday. Sorry to hear about your headache. I am sure the heat in the office does not help. I guess Gary had other things on his mind, bit, oooh, vacation! I wouldnāt want to put decision making off. I hope he feels better soon. You are getting our weekend weather.
Kathy, four more days, four more days. May they pass swiftly and without incident. Pollen coating everything! Makes my nose twitch and my throat itch just thinking about it.
Linda, I am glad you had good weather for the city festival. I bet the plants are happy to be free and enjoying the better weather.
Becky, I am glad you had a walk and a car drive in the sun. Both are so enjoyable.
Iggy caught an earlier flight from Detroit but his luggage didnāt, so we drove to the airport to pick it up this morning. We had to take my car because his battery was dead. I didnāt notice but apparently he left the driverās door ajar. We called AAA for a jump start. Then we went to the audiologist. To my surprise Iggy was craving Taco Bell of all things. I didnāt mind. I love their bean burrito fresca style (no cheese or sour cream). I guess we will have spaghetti tomorrow. We were going to go to the bank but he was starting to fade. He woke up at 1 am and started answering email. He is fast asleep right now. I think this jet lag will take him a week to get over. I am getting my me time right now with a nice cup of yellow tea. It is not caffeine free but is very low caffeine and quite tasty. I like my teas without milk and sugar so it is great calorie wise.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele LOL on he who cannot be ignored. It's a shame Iggy's luggage didn't arrive on time.Enjoy your tea.
Karen I hope both of your feet will feel better soon.
Liz I hope your headache is short lived.I hope Gary feels better soon also.It is the chiliest 65 degrees I have seen because of the wind.I did 30 minutes on the recumbent bike and then walked up to our road gate and back several times. It was way too windy to walk on the road.We may get rain tomorrow so I don't know about walking tomorrow either.

Liz, echoing Chele's comment about good to have you stop by on a Monday. Hope you nipped the headache in the bud before it got rolling. Sorry about the house being gone before you could reserve it. We exclusively stayed in Corolla or Corolla Light when we went to OBX. When we were on vacation, I always bought myself a week's pass to a fitness club in KDH, so I know my way around there and there are some nice houses. That was back in the day when I was training for triathlons and I did enjoy checking out different fitness facilities when I was on vacation or at conferences. I wish my swag bags were large enough for grocery shopping. I hope you can get something scheduled in quickly for the week you want. How's Gary doing? Do you think it's flu or something food related?
No all clear from the doc yet, Chele. That won't be for a couple of weeks. But the bandages are off and he liked the look of the xrays. The xray machine is right next to his office and I didn't realize he was in there when the nurse asked me how I was doing and I replied that I was doing fine but glad I don't have 3 feet. Then I hear his voice say, "I wish you did!" Next appointment will be the 11th at 11, exactly 4 weeks from when I got the all clear for the right foot. The swelling is down enough that I can bend almost 4 toes on that foot, so progress! I'll have to look for the Gardein meatballs when I get to go back to Knoxville next month (I hope!). How did things go at the audiologist? Did you enjoy your tea? I've never had yellow tea. Is it actually yellow? Like you, I am a tea purist. Oops! on Iggy's dead battery. Every time my luggage hasn't made it, the airline has delivered. Don't they do that anymore or did Iggy decide you needed to get out of the house? The spaghetti will be better tomorrow anyway. Does your bean burrito come with a flour tortilla wrap? I used to love their bean tostada. I told Dale last week I would have to get some take out from the Mexican place we have been to that is good.
Linda, I'm glad the festival went well. Did it warm up enough that you didn't have to bundle up like an eskimo? Did you go to art class today?
You had sun, Becky? Isn't it wonderful? We had it yesterday and today and hopefully will tomorrow as well. But it's been cold. More wind? Just what we don't need. Hope the rain goes in a different direction as well because we need that even less than we need wind. I'm glad you were able to walk, despite the wind.
Kathy, the count is 3, and my guess is you won't do much but turn things in on Thursday. So pretty much 2 work days to go. Was everything back to normal today after the power outage?

Yup, I think you will be living with Dracula for awhile with quiet days until jet lag fades. I swear it gets a lot worse every year you age! Too bad about luggage.
Glad the feet are doing ok, Karen. must feel like forever.
Becky, i hope your last week is great.
no ambition to dress and go outside! So except for dog in and out, I did not? Woke with sinus headache in my teeth too! Been beating it back off and on all day. we have major tree pollen now.
So I gritted teeth and cleaned out the big lower desk drawer...you know how you put stuff you do not want to deal with somewhere? so most of it was loose pictures, and uh oh, never put the last trip into the album.
Got the old negatives and photo disks into a big binder, then dragged put the albums and get most of it done, but I need to make one into two and add pages to one to finish that. So I can finish when the stuff comes from Amazon. That was five hours.
Good thing Bob only wants blt sandwich for supper.
