WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

Good morning. Iβm glad the week is moving along, and even more glad that our fitness challenge at work is coming to an end tomorrow. Itβs been extra work with some hassles along the way. The great news is that my team has won every challenge! I have a super motivated group of women. They will probably win the grand prize.
Eating went well yesterday. I had plenty of veggies, which is always a challenge for me.
Nancy, Iβm not surprised that their flight was delayed. Happy to see 10k steps for you yesterday. Fingers crossed for a clear mammogram today.
Lori, Iβm always amazed at how little food I really need. You have such a great system going, using different methods to maintain.

C39. D18. OP. Tracking. Exercise.
On the road - didn't have time to prepare any food. Will eat the food that is served the next two days. HOPEFULLY home for dinner tomorrow. I'm getting tired of white knuckle driving in snow. Next week will also be a 'hard' travel week with about 800 miles from the South Dakota border into Wisconsin.
Loved reading about Nancy's celebrations and congrats on winning the fitness challenge Jan :-)
Hi to all who follow!

Good Morning!
Another good dinner last night - putting that meal in my note file. Going out for drinks and apps after work today. This is my freestyle plan for today, breakfast-hard boiled egg w/tomoto slices, lunch-simply grilled chicken over salad, fruit for snack, one drink and one of each app (if worth it), dinner - mushu w/ chicken and edamane + homemade egg roll , snack-mug cake or yogurt. Since WI in on Saturday, the rest of the week will be follow MFP.
Nancy, I think we have it down when it's one meal or a one-day occasion. When it's multiple days, that seems to be the issue...it's like it snowballs...but what has changed and is HUGH is that we get right back on track!! Great job yesterday!! Sending positive thoughts your way!!
Jan, Awesome regarding Fitness Challenge! I'am sure the Fabulous Leader has a lot to do with the win and motivation of the group! - what is the Grand prize??
Kathy, Safe travels...staying in control and doing the best you can will get you closer to your goal of reaching C40!! You got this....
