Linda, did you use the Morningstar Farms veggie beef or regular ground beef in your sloppy joes? I quit using Morningstar Farms products after Kellogg's bought them and they started using GMO ingredients, which are probably in their cereals as well. I use either Boca or Quorn grounds instead for that reason. BTW, GMO labeling is becoming more prevalent and I noticed on the last bag of Chex Mix that I bought that they admit they may being genetically modified ingredients. The recipe you posted is extremely high in protein, so I hope you have leftovers for today. LOL on spending so much time at breakfast doing tech support. Will this be your last Wednesday at the museum? What will be your new day to go there? Are you still going to art class on Mondays?
No, Kathy, in retirement I don't see you having much need for a leather portfolio, unless you become secretary of your local master gardeners group. I am currently using one of those that was SWAG from a conference to keep all my meeting stuff together. How many people at your company make it to 45 years? We had several people from the college, mostly professors, nearing that mark when I left. But in the rest of the world, that's rare. Bet a lot of the younger ones don't even earn a 5 year award. I watched some episodes ahead on Dr. Who so I am now piecing together River Song's back story. As near as I can determine, she is Amy and Rory's daughter whom they named Melody Pond and she was kidnapped as an infant and where ever she grew up there were no ponds but had rivers so her name was changed to River Song. I also am getting the impression that she and the doctor may have gotten married or at least were in a relationship at some point. Am I on the right track? While there are jobs in this area like construction, HVAC, and the other trades everyone needs access to, there is an overabundance of jobs in the retail, restaurant, and entertainment areas and you know how poorly they pay. You probably have a fair amount of that where you live as well, but it's a much larger area, so more employment diversity there than here. DN was all excited about a year ago because he decided he was going to apprentice with his dad in HVAC but the excitement didn't last for long. He also could stand to lose about 100 lbs, so that limits his ability to get in and out of tight places like a lot of HVAC guys have to do from time to time. He had a FB memory come up last week from 6 or 7 years ago when he was about 50 lbs lighter, so I'm kind of hoping that spurs him to lose a least some of the excess weight. His mother's cousin was also extremely overweight and died of a massive heart attack in his late 30s, and DN will be 37 in October. So I am worried, but the ultimate responsibility for making changes is up to him.
Becky, Arya is like Scooter in that when she sees one of us put on a jacket, she assumes it's time for her to go outside and then she pouts if that doesn't happen. Safe travels out and about today. Enjoy lunch out if you end up doing that.
When is Iggy's interview happening, Chele? Were both of you up during the night again? Did you take a nap yesterday? I got a solid 8 hours of sleep last night and don't even remeber the alarm going off or Dale coming back for Arya this morning. Weird thing was that I got zero minutes deep sleep and that has been happening some lately for some reason. I tend not to get a lot of deep sleep anyway, but it's odd not to get any. That's the healing sleep, so I could really use some of that right now. Ironically, maybe the pain is keeping that from happening. I may take some herbal sleep product before bed tonight to see if that helps.
Liz, how is Gary doing and I hope if he had a virus that you didn't catch it. Did you find an OBX house for the week you are looking at? Schools shouldn't be out yet, so I hope you can find something you like. We used to reserve with a private pool so we could swim without possible pitfalls of the ocean. Do you? How's the knee doing?
I have a load of laundry in and a butternut squash baking. The foot isn't hurting as long as I stay off of it. I wrapped the arch and it seems to stabilize the plantar fasciia. But I can't wear even a loose slipper because of where the incision is. Dale plans to take a load to the dump this mornig (it opens really early) but has to charge his truck battery first. And he will be going to Auto Zone as well because this seems to be happening quite frequently of late. The truck is a 2012 and it's the original battery, so we got our use out of it. I'll probably watch some of Michael Cohen's testimony today just to see what bombshells he might drop. No other plans. Thinking about crocheting myself a pair of fingerless gloves in a variegated acrylic/viscose yarn that I picked up somewhere because I liked it but had no plans at that point what I might do with it. Hope everyone has an enjoyable Hump Day.

Wow, same battery since 2012! We get a new one every two years because summer here kills them. i do not wait, not wishing to be stuck somewhere in 110 plus heat.
I only made two portions since it was a new recipe. I end up throwing out stuff because Bob is picky. I use 93% lean beef that is organic. We do not eat much hamburger.
woke at 5:30, drat! Museum this morning then who knows? Probably sleep walking by supper.
Have a great day and stay warm.

Thanks for the start, Karen. A 9 year battery is quite a feat. 4 years is the average. That is strange about zero hours deep sleep. I am glad the wrap is helping the PF. Have fun with the fingerless gloves.
Linda, I hope you enjoy the museum and you catch up on sleep.
Waving to the rest of the crew.
Iggy’s interview is tomorrow and I get my permanent crown tomorrow. No nap for me yesterday. I woke up at 3 am when I smelled the toast Iggy was making. My tail feathers are definitely dragging again. I did some errands this morning and made a good lunch for Iggy. He has gone to bed already since he appears to have brought home some airplane germs. He has been sneezing and coughing. They ran him ragged in Singapore so I am not surprised his immune system did not fight off the germs.

Linda, sorry the new recipe didn't turn out to be as good as you had hoped and ending up throwing out costly food. Just curious as to whether you use conventional organic or grass fed organic ground beef. If the latter, do you find differences in the taste? What's on tonight's menu? How was the museum today?
We bought the truck in 2015, Chele, so we have gotten almost 4 years on the battery but think it's the original. It is weird about zero deep sleep (only 16 minutes in the past 3 nights) and I wondered if something got changed in the way Fitbit calculates but I can't find that anything has changed. It very well could be that the pain in my feet are keeping me from sleeping deeply. I just plan to keep an eye on it. Speaking of sleep, I truly hope you got a nap today because you are so sleep deprived right now. Sending good luck and good karma to Iggy for tomorrow. I hope things go really well and he gets a quick offer. That might help your ability to sleep in a few fronts. Sorry about the 3 am toast wake up. I also hope he gets over his airplane germs quickly and doesn't share them with you. I agree on his immune system probably being compromised right now with everything going on. Good luck at the dentist.
Becky, did you get your grocery shopping done today and where did you have lunch?
You're down to the last day, Kathy. Hope it's a good one!

Thanks for the start Karen. We went to the feed store,HEB and Walmart. It was 12:00 by time we got to the restaurant. There was a big table that was just ordering when we got there.Since there were so many there it took 1 hr from the time we ordered until we got our food.I ordered a side salad and was able to eat it first so I wasn't extra hungry by time we were served.Kenneth was pretty hungry though. It tasted really good so it was worth the wait.Dale's battery lasted quite a while. They just don't last that long anymore.I hope your foot isn't hurting too much.
Chele Good luck to Iggy on his interview and good luck at your dentist appointment.
Waves to all.We woke up too early too.

Karen, when I started at my company they gave me a bunch of SWAG including a leather portfolio. I also have one from a previous employer, so definitely don't need another. I can't think of anyone making it to 45 years, at least not in recent history. All I'll say about River is "spoilers"! We do have the issue of too many low paying jobs here, especially around the attractions. That is amazing on the battery lasting that long. Mine seem to last around 3 years and they always blame the FL heat. Not as bad as Linda though with the really extreme heat. One more day! I think it will probably be short. Hope you can sleep better tonight. Chele, good luck to Iggy tomorrow and to you on the crown. Hope Iggy can get a new job soon and I'm sure you'll both sleep better.
Waving to all.

no, the sloppy Joes were fine. I just make enough for two on any new thing because so often I do have to toss it or eat the rest myself because hubby is picky!
Saw the weather report for beginning of March for a lot of the country...holy cow that is cold.
museum work was short today because boss had to go with his wife to hospital...kidney stone...ouch. Just as well since I slept badly and was wide awake at 5:30. I did get Micki's mile in then platzed. That is a real word...Yiddish. DH ordered Italian delivered. sleep time soon!
