The sun is shining and it is COLD out! BUT I will take it! The sun always makes me feel better! Nothing much new to report here. I'm still surviving my week alone (with the animals) and my house is still standing! I peeked at them on my camera and both dogs were passed out on the couch. Fingers crossed they sleep most of the day away and don't destroy anything! THEY are the reason I have nothing nice! March first is the day I WILL get serious about getting back on track with my weight loss. I've just been coasting along, not really losing and I have gained a couple pounds. HELLO! I have eight months to get looking better for this wedding (my son)!! I have no particular goal in mind (well, to look better than the step-monster), just to feel good in my skin! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy all! I'm off to Starbucks to grab some more coffee (just iced coffee, nothing fancy)!

I'm in. Morning all.
Slow to get moving on this sunny, cold morning. We got a fresh dusting of snow overnight that will melt in no time. A typical Thursday on tap. Grilled chicken for dinner.
Enjoy the day!

diva49,I have been running the taxi for the grands and it is exhausting. Stayed up too late and I'm paying for it. Dental superintendent, then work followed by the taxi run. Hoping it rains and I can just come home

I went to the phlebotomist this morning to prepare for my annual physical happening in a bit over the week. It went quickly since I had an appointment, plus it was quiet there at 7:45 am, which it often isn't.
Today should be quiet and hopefully pleasant.

Good morning. I’m in. lmenglish, “dental superintendent” Is autocorrect is working overtime again??? neen, so nice you have your dog cam to monitor the pets throughout the day. I made it through the colo prep and here I am. I can drink fluids for about another hour. Despite what my endocrinologist and I thought, the challenge has not been controlling high blood sugar but keeping the blood sugar up. The CGM (continuous glucose monitor) gives me good insight to the last 24 hours, and it is interesting to see how sugar-laced beverages raise the BS and how long it takes to recover—not as long as I would think. So I’m a bit concerned with what the BS will do from 7:30 AM until 1 or 2 PM. I plan to super-load sweet beverages before 7:30. And the insight I’ve gained is this: sugar, without being mixed with fat and flour into something yummy, is not something that is truly enjoyable. Since my instructions say I can use sugar and honey, I laced my first cup of coffee with 2 Tbsp. of sugar to start the BS rise; I am not enjoying this cuppa! That’s it for now. Keep safe and warm and KOKO.

Good morning.I'm in.It's 37 and cloudy here(I know that's considered a heat wave for most of you)but it's cold for here.We are even expecting a freeze next week. neen I love your pet stories too.My one dog is the reason I have nothing nice and my 2 cats are the reason everything ends up on the floor. DebDoesWW Are y'all expecting much rain?We aren't expecting much thankfully. zazzles Good luck today. The good thing about those procedures are you are asleep.Hopefully it won't be too long before you can eat like you want to. Just as I was ready to start cooking breakfast this morning the propane for the gas stove went out so we brought out the big electric skillet.Thank goodness for alternatives.Since it's cooler and cloudy DH doesn't really want to fool with unhooking the tank and hooking up the full one we have decided to just use the electric skillet until we have a warm enough day. It's bigger than my regular skillet anyway. Also the coffee maker isn't making coffee as hot as it should be.The propane can wait but I will make an emergency run to Walmart to look for a coffee maker just in case it goes out completely.LOL. Also getting my hair trimmed today. Have a good day all.

borntexan you know how they forecast here, everyday says rain but whether or not we actually get any is a different story and when it does it usually is just that drizzly crap then a few minutes of real rain lather rinse repeat.

DebDoesWW , chain saws on the crape myrtles? I hope you didn't chop too much so you'll be accused of "Crape Myrtle Massacre"! Ha, that's a real thing in Houston that Radio Gardener Randy Lemmon talks about. ETA: But, I'm applauding you for using a chain saw. Those scare me! Crape Myrtle Massacre

LMAO linda72 ! They go all the way around my backyard and my folks have them circling their house. My dad used to do their house but now I thought I would do it for them, I saw a small one (14" electric) over at Harbor Frieght when I grabbed a pressure washer. They already have one of those huge ones but I can't lift it up and they scare me too. 🤣🤣🤣 this is more like a junior tykes chainsaw. So I am guessing this isn't the right tool for the job?! At least I got the date right on when to do it. It is like when I first got here from CA and used the wrong stuff to plant the 14 azaleas and they all died. (They freaking grow wild here, EVERY house has them, except good old mint killers house.) * I guess I should do full disclosure and maybe amend that "pro" part. So I got 2 done with the chainsaw but then the chain popped off the guide bar, even though it was "ready to go right out of the box." So all last night I watched and read more YouTube videos than I care to remember on how do put it back together. It is actually pretty simple but the blade thingy is like angled now and I could have sworn it was straight and I can't find any pics that are straight on to see what it is supposed to look like. Oy.

DebDoesWW,- picturing you with a chainsaw and then repairing it has me in a mixture of giggles, awe and fear! I love it. I put the scale away for a few weeks. Just got it out and saw I'm down about a pound. I need to get serious. My clothes are getting really tight and I am NOT going into a bigger size! Had to call 911 for a student yesterday she was having extreme stomach pain, very lethargic and was PALE!!! turns out she had appendicitis and had surgery last night. Glad that we caught it and she's OK but it was very scary.
