I'm IN.
It's snowing.
I'm trying to find out if my 8 AM WW Workshop is cancelled BEFORE I drive all the way over there.
Coffee's brewed... ☕️☕️☕️... and the porch is swept... but I need a shovel for the rest... BBL...
❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️

No snow here. But it's raw so Charlie and I drove to feed the ferals and then I took him down to the river. We don't have time on weekdays to get to some of the spots he loves. Hair appointment this morning; wineries this afternoon.

I hear snow plows, but I am not sure what they are plowing. It may have snowed a little last night, but the only snow I see was from the night before. I always say that these snow plowers really love the job and hope for snow. I don't see snow on today's forecast, but a mix tomorrow. Let it be rain.
I'm struggling with my eating. I set out to do well then I screw it all up, often on the sly. It's all related to my psychological state. When I'm really well, I am the most dedicated dieter there can be.
Now I see what's happening. My neighbor is shoveling off her deck. I know that may seem strange. My husband and I got a new deck built about a month ago, then my neighbor got the same builders to do hers. She plans to put her house up for sale soon. Neither of our decks are stained yet. The wood needs to dry for a while first. I guess having snow on her deck makes her fear that'll delay the drying. I'll miss her. She was sociable, unlike many of our neighbors. Our neighbors on the other side are young grad students. They're not usually loud, but not friendly.

Good morning.
Snowing---we have at least two inches already, forecast is for 1-3 right now but who knows. Tomorrow night will be a bigger accumulation, anywhere from 4-10 inches, depending on who you're listening to. Our plow guy will be happy.
Yesterday I saw crocus shoots poking through the mulch in the front garden. Spring really is on its way, really it is.
I think I will bake something today, probably corn muffin tops for DH. Nice to pop into the toaster oven in the morning.
Coffee, six deer outside my window, snow is falling softly. Beautiful day.
Wishing all a peaceful day.

Good morning. I’m in. It is raining here (again). I’ll use it as an opportunity to go to the library and finish up work I didn’t complete yesterday. fullmahina do you use a special muffin-top pan to make your corn muffin tops? They sound interesting as a change from the usual breakfasts. DebDoesWW I hope you can raise your arms high enough to get your coffee to your mouth this morning. NEW COOKBOOK at WW Studio this week: Fresh Mex! Recipes look tasty but may require a trip to a Mexican grocery store to find some ingredients. That’s all for now. Have a good day, stay warm and dry, and KOKO.

I'm in. Morning all
Our plow guy just left and more snow is on the way. I don't mind as much now knowing Spring is really close. We're going to have a bit of a snow day - light chores and lots of movies. Dinner TBD.
Sending good juju and positive vibes for those that need them. Enjoy the day!

When I say it’s snowing climate change will be real:) we had a heavy rainstorm this morning but no rain now. I had a relapse of coughing and drippy nose so got up at 5. Read Thursday’s in depth article about the failures of PG&E addressing maintenance issues that caused the Camp Fire in Paradise killing 85 people . Last year we added 46 solar panels, pay less than $10 a month for electricity and PG&E owes us a $52 rebate. Years ago they faked brownouts in the summer shutting off power to raise rates. They are basically the only utility company in northern and central CA. Grocery shopping this morning for simple meals this week and tonight is my best friend’s surprise birthday party hosted by her sons and their wives. Need to stay well.

fullmahina do you use a special muffin-top pan to make your corn muffin tops? Yes I do. Oddly enough, it is called a muffin-top pan, lol. Two of them will take a recipe that makes 12 corn muffins or one 8x8 pan of cornbread. And even though these are non-stick (hahahaha) it works best when you spray with a baking spray that has flour in it, like Baker's Joy. The corn muffin tops come out like Thomas' Toaster Cakes but taste a whole lot better. They freeze well too and reheat nicely in a toaster oven. This is the one I use, by Chicago Metallic. I believe they sell for less than $15 each. I bought mine from Amazon. Check around if you use Amazon as the price for the pan varies widely depending on the seller. I have had mine for over ten years, use them quite often, and they still look new. Handwash. prophgussufat68.podbean.com/e/chicago-metallic-60640-reviews/

They are basically the only utility company in northern and central CA. We are our own little enclave in the city of Santa Clara. We have our own power company, Silicon Valley Power. They are totally reliable. In 20 years living in my house I’ve only had about four power outages, and only one that lasted an hour or more. And we pay a fraction of PG&E’s rates. It is a primary reason I bought my house here when I left my condo in San Jose. zazzles hope you are feeling better today Mike. Thanks. Feeling better but fatiguing too quickly. Guess a few days of rest will resolve that. Oddly enough, it is called a muffin-top pan, lol. I’m pretty sure that I have one; I will have to look. From what you report, one bocx of Jiff should make one pan of muffin tops. I will give it a try soon. Thanks for the insights.

We had a brief period of rain an hour ago. Now the sky is bright but the radar map shows a huge area of yellow and red just north of us which means thunderstorms. Not taking chances Lily Belle is cuddled next to me.

Oh Mike, Mike...sigh. Get thee to the market and buy some Alber's Yellow Corn Meal. Follow the directions for their Sweet Corn Bread. BEST sweet corn bread ever and before I found it I had been searching for years. It took a move to Hawaii and Alber's Yellow Corn Meal (not available on the East Coast) for me to find the perfect sweet corn bread recipe. It works with any yellow corn meal, btw. But Jiffy is okay...I guess (weeping silently). Here's a link to the recipe, in case anyone is wondering. alberscorn.com/sweet-corn-bread/

fullmahina, I’m LOL. I do make cornbread from scratch when the urge hits me. I have a variety of recipes including one that’s Diabetic friendly. But sometimes the box is the quick and easy answer I’m looking for.
