Started this early because of the Saturday night party. We had bursts of heavy showers but the rain was not like it was in other areas. Today I plan on tracking everything and being straight and narrow. There are too many celebrations coming up including Nora's birthday tomorrow and Charlotte's on the 30th. Then my friend Charlotte is 70 today with party last night, lunch with me and another friend sometime during the month and her girls' trip to the mountains on the 23rd. DH and I will be in Las Vegas March 10th to 13th and those are the ones I know. So tonight's dinner is grilled salmon. Monday it is roast chicken. Tuesday is grilled mahi mahi and Wednesday is a grilled pork tenderloin. Thursday I am going to a social event to sign up for River Parkway Parties so I will defrost leftover moussaka and pilaf but there will be food and beverage temptations there. Friday we are going to a restaurant. My goal is to maintain and not gain. If I lose, bravo for me.
Have a relaxing Sunday

Audrey That's a sensible approach, which should see you through this month. What you do on most days really matters most. Glad that you were spared theheavier rainfall.

Bear w/ me.... am responding to last page of Saturday's post using my old noggin'.
Bee j Super! Happy that your beets were just to your liking. Goodness, that takes me back--my mom & grandma pickled beets for holidays like Easter.
Ann Ended up not frosting the brownies. After I ate a half of brownie, I decided that it would be too sweet if I added icing.
Becky & Susi Sounds like both of you know a lot about a farming lifestyle. B-- hope that your calving goes well when it happens. S-- no wonder you were so adept at capturing theferal cats!
As a child, I saw a pony born. Was amazing. We had a horse and 4 ponies and a whole assortment of critters when we were growing up. We had a big garden and fruit trees. Although we had a barn, I guess I never consider that we had a farm though. Our animals were pets.
LaDonna Great job gettingso much accomplished today! Enjoy your party!
Pam Yay you! Good job! A no sun, but no snow day-- well, we all know awinter day could be a whole lot worse.

Thanks for the start Audrey.I hope you enjoy your friend's birthday and you can sleep well without coughing. You do so well in planning your meals for the week.I know you don't track points so are you still tracking calories on Lose It?I know I wouldn't be losing with all the events you have coming up.I probably wouldn't be maintaining either. You really have done well.I'm glad you didn't get the heavy rainfall although I think you mentioned your area could use the rain.
Bee I'm glad your beets turned out well.My DH loves cornbread with anything.
June I don't know a lot about farming.I never lived on a farm until I married my DH.He used to raise cattle when he was working also because you just can't make a living only raising cattle in these times.I definitely know more than I used to.I hope you have a good visit with your parents and you find them as well as can be expected.
Sunday goals:track everything, get in 10,000 steps.I am pretty much planned and tracked for tomorrow.
Will start Sunday out with church and then see what happens afterwards.

The party was a true surprise for my friend and she danced all night long. Bob and I danced too. I did well till they served the delicious birthday cake from the French bakery. It was delicious. We had heavy rainstorms but missed them when we parked and returned to the car so we didn’t get soaked. Today is a day at home and a day of healthy eating. Dinner is grilled salmon, stir fried Asian vegetables and kale salad. Have a relaxing salad.

The days continue to be cloudy and gray with less rain than the clouds seem to be carrying....in fact...not much rain if any at all. It is nippy outside. We have been hearing the jackals closer and closer to the house at night and this morning heard something "different sounding" in the backyard. I listened and thought perhaps a strange bird or maybe a fox in heat BUT out trotted a jackal from behind the green. The cat - outdoor calico cat hubby won't let inside - alerted, fretted and ran for some secure hiding place she must know about. The jackal just happily trotted across toward the elementary school that is next door. Wish the school had built the fence on that portion that they promised they would! Ah well... This morning I need to clean the house and finalize the menu for Wednesday since I won't be home Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday we play cards and eat. I hope to make the meal with options for the diabetic, non-meat and meat eaters, calorie counters and provide beverages for those who do and don't drink alcohol.
Anyway...
Today's Goals: 1. Get the house dusted and swept and counters cleared 2. Finalize the menu for Wednesday 3. Be moderate in my food intake and get in foods from all the food groups

Good morning all. Audrey thanks for getting us started. I crashed early last night. We did get together with another couple and mostly sat around and talked. IT was a fun time. I did have a few chips but didn't over-do Audrey your plan makes perfect sense to me. I like you attitude that you want to maintain during all your outings. I'm sure you'll do just fine. I'm sure all that dancing off set the delish bday cake June you have great plans for today. I've never seen anything being born.......I bet that is an experience to treasure. LOL to not frosting the brownies. Sometimes they are a little too sweet and don't need that extra 'layer of flavor' Good luck hitting your 8000 steps today. Yesterday I surprised myself with a grand total of 8814! Cathy that is an amazing story about the jackal. You would think that the school would have a fence for the protection of the students. Enjoy your card playing on Wednesday. You also have great goals for today. Becky it's a nice feeling to be planned and tracked. I planned supper. We are having pasta so I'll need to plan around that! Wishing AWF a peaceful and OP Sunday. Will CBL

Good morning. I have a lot going on so I'll come back later for personals. I cooked scrambled eggs for Charlie, Jack, Missy and the ferals. All the bedding is either in the washer or airing outside. They have changed our forecast so it now looks like we are going to get hit with a mess into tonight. I would prefer all snow but doesn't look good for that. Later!

Susi from what I saw yesterday, we are also in for that wintry 'mix'. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they say.

Good morning, all!!!
Prayers continue... esp for our ailing posters & Loved Ones... and those under particular stress... and {{{HUGS}}}... and thankYouThankYouTHANKYOU for your prayers for me and my family...
☀️🌤⛅️🌥🤔🌥⛅️🌤☀️
Much of yesterday's snow is gone; the roads are all clear. There's more coming later this afternoon through the night so I wonder what effect this will have on Monday morning. Right now, I can sit in a sunbeam!
The Kressling is here. He will be "returned to parents" after lunch so he and his mom can go buy him khaki trousers. Otherwise, we have Not Much on today's schedule so I'll continue with my knitting... and also do some reading, from the books I picked up at the library.
We watched NASCAR Xfinity series yesterday - exciting at the end in particular - and today is the Monster Energy Cup series at 3:30 PM (Las Vegas). And in the evening, we watched "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". It's a Tim Burton creation so it was weird, but I recognized the male lead as the same actor who played Ender Wiggins in "Ender's Game" - just a few years older.
Coffee's brewed... ☕️☕️☕️... now I need breakfast before the Kressling wakes up and wants his...
☀️🌤⛅️🌥🤔🌥⛅️🌤☀️ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ☀️🌤⛅️🌥🤔🌥⛅️🌤☀️

Audrey That will be a night to remember for your friends and those who love her. Today's menu and all those dance steps will help offset the cake, which sounds like it was worth every BLT. Ann Passing the evening w/ talk and laughter seems like a perfect Saturday night to me. Great effort to log those 8800 steps! Becky Hope that you Sunday unfolds as planned.
Cathy Good that there will be some options for you during the gatherings. A security fence would probably ease your mind as well as the minds of others.
Mj Know that you are enjoying the racing season. Do you cheer for a particular driver or team? Enjoy your time w/ your grandson. We saw that movie a few years back. Would put it in the category of YA fantasy that skews to the imaginatively odd. Not my favorite YA perspective. You might like "Ready Player One" better. Susi Yep... that wintry mix forecast is never welcome. Plain old snow-- in reasonable amounts-- is far easier to handle. Am planning on washing all the bedding here and at mom's during break. Will just hit the laundromat since they have a king sized comforter.
What are you preparing in your kitchen this week's menus?

I was awake at 5 but got out of bed at 6. Even the animals waited till 6:30 and Bob is sleeping till 7. Lily Belle is eating an old biscuit, Indiana is purring on my lap and George is roaming the house. The rain has stopped but I’ll check the forecast. More expected 11-6.
