Nora s four today but mad she wonβt be Phys and then older than her friends.I am bringing her a surprise party luncheon and cake for her Leo with the babysitter and me when she gets home from daycare.I have a bag full of things for the party with a small chocolate cake frosting Mardi Gras bead necklaces and everything a four going on 5 would want. Lily Belle is groomed at 9. I have a meeting from 9:30 until 11. Dinner is roast chicken ,roasted golden beets that are marinated over lettuce and sweet potatoes. Happy Monday!

Ann I am glad you enjoyed the cook in with friends.I hope you don't get any snow.
Audrey Happy Birthday to Nora.I'm sure she will enjoy the surprise party.Your dinner sounds good.I love sweet potatoes.
I will track, get in my water and it will probably be another inside exercise day. It's already down to 37(I know that would be considered a heat wave for some of you but it is cold here). We are expecting a low of 28 or lower in the morning. They had sustained winds of 24 MPH in Austin today with gusts over 30 MPH.Scooter has been very happy for me to stay inside with her this afternoon instead of going walking.Since we aren't going anywhere tomorrow she will be in dog heaven.LOL.
Have a great Monday everyone.

I've gotten in some great walks over the weekend. Had a few indulgences but Monday will be back on the straight and narrow. I spent a little time with my friend Linda on Sunday. She seems to be adjusting to being a widow. She is still sad but she is doing all she can to stay busy and active. She is also really enjoying her Boston Terrier pup. Heavy rains and tornado watches and warnings have been our situation today. Monday looks nice weather wise. June, is Richard feeling better - sure hope you don't catch the cold. Ann, the cook in sounds fun! Audrey, Happy birthday to Nora! Becky, Is scooter the dog in your picture? I don't like to walk in high winds wither. Inside walking is just perfect for those days. Have a great start to the week everyone

Ann If your Wii puts up a squawk tomorrow, remindit that you had extra sodium. Nice that your neighbors could have a a cookin! Nice change of pace for the winter.
Audrey You will have quite a busy start to the week Yow will have to make a record ofNora's wish that she was two years older on her birthday. When she is our age and remembers the story of her 4th birthday, she may ask-- "What was I thinking?
Becky Cold weather is relative, that's for sure. And those high winds this wineter seem to drive the cold to cut right through a body. I thought to myself that our coldest snap w/ wind chills inthe minus 25-30 range was better than situation along the Canadian border.
Usually, the winter does not phase me so much. This year it is the extreme fluctuation that makes it hard to adjust. But Spring is coming...
LaDonna Wonderful that you could enjoy some long walks and steered right back to the straight and narrow after your splurges. So good of you to give Linda some extra attention. She is going through such a major change, and so often widows get overlooked.
Thxfor the kind wishes regrading Richard.

Monday's goals
Try to convince R to use a sick day. More rest would do him good. The Rexall version of NIghtQuell seemed to lessened his symptoms. Was able to keep him played w/ Ginger Ale. Got him to drink a hot chocolate and eat some peanut butter toast.
Plz say a prayer for R and one that I stay healthy. I am the only daughter at home this week. I cannot afford to be sick or pass on any sickness to my parents.
good night, everyone! Amgoingto read a bit, then Nurse Cratchett is off to bed.

I can:
* write down every BLT * think positive * get the house (and food) ready for Wednesday * Be positive
Yesterday was quiet. The cat was stressed most of the day - was it the jackal family in the yard? Talked to my children and granddaughters. Finalized the menu for Wednesday. Cleaned a bit...still more to do.

Good morning all. Well, I guess I didn't do as well as I thought I did in the 'food department'. My wii shows me up 1.1 this am so I have work to do LOL. NOt sure what's on the menu, but it will be light. The ribs were over the top good and I'm really not a rib gal. For some reason they tasted extra good to me. Audrey have fun with the surprise cake for Nora. I'm sure y'all will have a good time. Your dinner as always sounds delish. Becky I'll join you in the 'exercise at home' department. We do have snow! As to how much, not sure. Carl is out there now dealing with it. Good thing he doesn't mind I'm very luck in that way. Keep warm! June hope Richard is feeling better. I agree..normally weather changes don't bother me..but this year they are all over the map making it hard to plan ahead. Like you said, spring IS coming Enjoy your day. Cathy I hope your cat settles down. I would be upset with a jackal in the yard myself LOL. Time for me to peek out the window to see how far Carl has gotten with the snow. I'm thinking of putting on a cup of coffee for me as I wait. Will CBL Wishing all a wonderful Monday!

Cathy Sounds like you are doing a lot to get ready! Am betting that you will do the best that you can and that's a success in itself.
Hope that jackal family will move on.
Ann Ha ha ha. . . am like you, surprised when something that I do not "love" taste really, really good. Adjusting the next day jis key.
Saw the weather report featuring Boston and the latest storm's impact. Wondered how much it impacted you, Susi, & Mj.
Stay safe, dry & warm all my friends dealing with winter weather!

May not be "on" much this morning.
R is feeling better, but stayed home. This is likely to throw off my plans for the day.

Ann - Glad you had fun last night. Water will take care of that uptick. Happy birthday Nora! Hope she enjoys the party Becky - It's all about what you are used to weather wise. At least Scooter is happy! I'm with you on hating the wind. It's bee horrible for the past few years. I'm sure your friend appreciated the friendship and comfort. You have to live life on this journey LaDonna. Sending wellness prayers for you and R, June. Hi, Bee Good plan Cathy. Is there a safe place for the cat? I'm in, planned and tracked. Saturday was just such a fun, over the top day, but I got back on track yesterday and have good plans in place for the week.
