WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D9, 18 points, 4 rollovers, 7 water, 1198 calories, K8:15-5
table tennis, treadmill, beginners line dancing
Louise – DH has certain tempting foods in the house like Oreo thins, Stella Doro Breakfast treats, Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies and such. I have somehow been able to mentally consider these his and not mine. If I want a treat, I’ll have some of my enlightened ice cream or a WW mini caramel or Kedem tea biscuits. The only time I get into his stash is when a binge is in process. That’s when all bets are off. I wonder if you could somehow mentally separate what’s yours and what’s DMs.
Jan – You are nowhere near “chunky” in that photo.
Kathy – C41 here we come!! Wouldn’t that be the cat’s meow? Big sister will be watching <g>. I asked your “pay as you go” question on the chat line and here is the response “Every workshop has this option, however, it is cheaper to have a monthly pass plus you get more tools with this option, like the app and the database. Also pay as you go members can only miss 3 workshops in 26 weeks before they have to pay for missed workshops” I don’t think that’s the response you were looking for.
Lori – I have tons of photos in frames around – but the rest go into photo albums as chronologically as possible. So far I have 13 decent sized albums. I no longer have a backlog, but every time I get a dozen or so new photos I add them to my albums. I can’t come up mentally with a weight that would eliminate the calorie count and do just flex points. I’m thinking maybe 136 on home scale. I'm not there now but I've been there recently enough to know it's possible.

Good morning! Good food day yesterday. I did have both a protein bar and protein cookie, which is one more processed protein treat than I prefer, but all other food OP.
Kathy, you must like having the elliptical as an exercise option. The weather will be breaking soon so you’ll be able to go on your six mile walks again.
Nancy, yes, somehow I’ve also learned, for the most part, to distinguish between the boys’ treats and mine. It really makes no sense to me that WW doesn’t accommodate drop ins for those online members in remote areas.
Lori, since all my pictures are taken digitally now, I’m able to at least keep up on new pictures by creating books on Snapfish. I do have some boxes of pictures from 2001-2003 or 2004 to sort through. Ugh.

Hello Ladies!! Busy, productive morning at work.
Treats in my house are the same - DH's and mine. I try to keep his out of sight. I'm getting excited...planning two trips. One will be a road trip to NC in April and the other to visit DS and GF in May. Excited that my Mom will be joining us to visit DS in Texas.
Nancy - same goes here, DH's snacks don't bother me until binge mode hits. Thankfully for both of us, that's not as often as it use to be.....
Jan, The protein bar and protein cookie (even though processed) were better choices then a lot of other options (that's the way I look at it...) I am so thankful for digital photos - I would be buried in photos if not....lol I also love the Photo Books from Snapfish or Shutterfly. My plan is to take a photo of the special photos and file on Google photos, sort and create a Snapfish photo book for each of my kids. Maybe I'll have it done by next Christmas....still don't know if I can get rid of the actually photos but it's a good start.
Kathy, thinking of you....Cheering you along your new cycle!!
