Thanks for the start, Chele. Sorry you still aren't feeling like yourself. How long are you going to wait to see the doc again if things don't improve? Congrats to Iggy on the interview. Fingers (and paws) crossed for him here. Did he know the interviewer professionally or socially? In Dale's line of work, it's rare that he has started a new position in which he doesn't know somebody in the new company from previous employment situations. There aren't a lot of data scientists and they tend to change jobs frequently.
Becky, do you have a Scooter day planned? Has your wind died down and are your temps warming a bit?
I had forgotten, Linda, that AZ doesn't observe a time change. There are a bunch of states with bills in their legislative bodies to do what AZ does, including TN. I wish the federal government would just decide to go with standard or daylight savings because about half the bills want to stay with standard and the other half with daylight savings and that could be a major mess. What did you have on the agenda today, since museum was yesterday?
Kathy, I hope you start getting all your paperwork so you can fill it out and get it all the way you need it to be. That may also help retirement to sink in. Do you have your grocery list ready for tomorrow? I will be heading to Publix, even though it's a bit farther. I usually only go there when I am working out or have a doctor's appointment close by. But it will be worth it to go tomorrow because it won't be as crowded and I can get the groceries carried out to the car. Tomorrow should be less crazy at the store and on the roads than Friday, so that would be my preference, foot willing.
How's the week going, Liz? How are Gary and the pups? How many more weeks til vacay? I think I would have a countdown calendar.
I did the big dinner cook for my little girl. 30 containers of puppy pilaf and veggies in the freezer, I paid for it, however. Right foot isn't bad but left one is screaming at me. I took extra strength turmeric and white willow extract as soon as I sat down and, other than bathroom trips, I may not move much for the rest of the day. Already have in over 3300 steps so that's enough. I love my stone kitchen floor but when we put it in, I never thought how uncomfortable it might be at times like this. If Dale comes up around lunchtime, I may ask him to give Arya her lunch and to warm up my leftover pizza. Had a pretty good night's sleep last night, so that was nice.

Good news on the interview, but bronchitis misery does hang in there. That was the last straw for me in upstate NY years ago.
I bet retirement this week just feels like vacation..takes awhile for it to sink in.
the rain will go north of me. I hear they will get another load of snow in northern AZ. Neighbors with a cabin NE of here removed four feet of snow from their roof last Saturday and everything as mud around the place. That has never hapoened before.
Just got up at 11! When I woke just before six to go off to bathroom darned dog wanted out, but can't blame him, then he started dragging his tummy on carpet because of itching...something in the air this time of year.24 hour Pill was not due until 7, so I sprayed the area with calming gel,got some coffee and kept him by me until DH took him for a walk at 7. He went to foot of the bed and slept after that, so I was able to wait in the pill until now. Hopefully that will get him through morning tomorrow. I went back to sleep too! Will go to bank and nursery later, then see what I feel like. My allergies ate so bad that it makes joints and shoulders ache.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Iggy. Becky, enjoy your adoring doggie. It has been almost a year since Teddy went to the Rainbow Bridge and I still miss the little guy. I just read an article from National Geographic that said dogs personalities reflect their humans’ personalities. If that is true I must be stubborn, demanding and neurotic with a loud mouth. Karen, the last time I had bronchitis it took a week before I began to feel better and that was when I caught it earlier. Since I haven’t been sleeping well for months I am sure recovery will take just as long. I sent you an email with a link to an anti fatigue kitchen mat. I have 2 in our kitchen and they make a big difference. Take it easy at the grocery store tomorrow. Waving to the rest of the crew.

Linda, we cross posted. Sorry about the allergies. I looked up Ted’s pain gel. They have an unscented roll on variety that is sold on Amazon. A lot of the reviewers say the wintergreen smell of the cream is intense.

Chele, sorry to hear you're still feeling bad, but I know bronchitis takes a while to get over. Glad to hear Iggy's interview went well and hope he gets some good news soon.
Karen, it may be a few more days before any paperwork comes in since the end of the 2 week pay period is this Sunday and that will trigger the end of benefits. I should get one more more paycheck for last week. They deposited my PTO paycheck last week, so that was fast. No grocery list yet. The ads come out tomorrow, so I'll see what looks good. Good suggestion from Chele on the kitchen mats. I had one for years that finally wore out and haven't had any luck finding one I like to replace it. They do give some cushioning for your feet when you're standing a long time. Hope the foot has stopped screaming at you and that Dale helped out with lunch.
Linda, yes, this week does feel like a vacation. Sorry about the allergies. It's definitely that time of year.
Becky, we finally got a beautiful winter day. I took a long walk outside and it was 60 and sunny. Hope it's nice where you are.
Liz, how's the week going? I'm sure you're counting the days until vacation.

Karen Every day is a Scooter day around here.LOL. However we did get out to go to Walmart today and she didn't seem to mind and she has been outside all afternoon. We had a low of 23 again this morning and although it got up to 62 today the wind was still chilly when I walked this afternoon.Your left foot is telling you to stay off of it and rest.
Chele I don't think you are like that at all. That may be true about our dogs because Scooter can be hard headed at times.I hope you are getting plenty of rest.
Kathy I'm glad you already got your PTO check. It was cold this morning but even with 62 and sunny the wind was still vicious.I'm glad you got a walk in.I got one in too and it wasn't very comfortable with the wind.We are only supposed to get down to 47 tonight thank goodness.
When I got up from my recliner this morning it felt like I had a cramp in my back but it didn't go away like a cramp would. It didn't hurt much while I was on the recumbent bike or walking but the minute I sat back down it started hurting again. It also hurts a certain way I move it will hurt.
Tomorrow we will go to HEB to get a few groceries.I had put a couple of things in my basket yesterday when we were there and they charged us for them on the receipt but they didn't get put in our bags so will definitely get that straightened out.

Linda, how long have your neighbors had their cabin? That's amazing about all the snow they had to remove. A lot of roofs just can't take that much weight, so they must have a good one. Hate they are having to deal with all that mud. The last time * got up at 11 I was deathly ill. Sorry to hear Micki's allergies are acting up. I would guess it's that time of year there. Did you make it to the nursery? What did you buy? Gorgeous picture. How we loved bluebonnets when we lived in TX. It seems a little early for them, so there will definitely be a bumper crop becuase I don't think they peak until mid-April. Will this be your next art class project? It's been a year since Teddy's passing, Chele? Hard to believe it's been that long. If I remember, he got stubborn, demanding, neurotic, and loud in his senior years, so maybe you aren't there (yet anyway ). No, you haven't been sleeping well for months and there's no doubt it has affected your immune system. I hope that will be something you can change soon, especially if it's related to Iggy's employment status. Thanks for the info on the mat. I may look around to see what I can find locally so I can try it out. It probably wouldn't be that helpful when I'm doing Arya's dinners because I am literally all over the kitchen. There are other times when it would be great to have because I'm standing in one place. I think I will postpone the grocery trip until Monday after going to the doctor. I do plan, however, to go out and drive around the neighborhood because the car hasn't moved out of the garage since last Monday. I hope it will start. There is an eagle's nest Dale saw out on a run about a mile from us so I may take the camera with me and see if I can get a good shot of it. Kathy, it's nice to know you have one more paycheck coming and that's amazing that your PTO check has already hit the bank. The foot is feeling better as long as I don't try to wear a shoe. I got the thickest bandages I could find at Walgreens but they aren't helping much. Dale did lunch and also cleaned up the kitchen after dinner. That helped. So nice to be able to take an afternoon walk. We got up to 39, so too cold even if my feet weren't healing. Are you going to start doing that regularly? Hope so! One of the benefits of retirement is making time in your schedule for what you want to do. LOL on every day being a Scooter day, Becky. Every day around here is usually an Arya day. Only recent exceptions have been my surgery days. I hope you start warming up so Scooter won't be the only one able to get outside. That is so annoying that you got charged for things that never got into your bag. That's one of the reasons I like to go through the self check so I can be sure everything gets in and that it gets bagged so things don't break before I get home. Are you seeing as many bluebonnets as the photo from Marathon that Linda posted? Great news from DSIL. Their house is sold! Closing is June 3rd and they will be going to AL next month to hopefully buy a house. I looked on Zillow and there are a number of options in their price range that look good. The people buying their house have 4 kids under the age of 5 with another on the way and are in the process of adopting another child. Hope 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths will be enough. They also have a huge back yard and an above ground pool, so it will be a good house for that many kids.

Karen I almost always use the self checkout at Walmart but HEB doesn't have one. They normally do a good job but after we put groceries up I asked Kenneth if he had seen the two items that didn't make it and he looked in the cold bags and later looked in the car and they weren't there either. It was just paper bowls and cat treats but when you pay for something you do expect to arrive home with it.I walked today but with the wind it was pretty uncomfortable. We never get out on 290 or anywhere close to Austin so I'm not sure about the bluebonnets but I heard on the news they were already blooming and then we had 3 hard freezes in a row so they didn't know if they would be hurt or not. They were also talking about the peach crop might be affected by the freezes.Marathon is far west Texas and they haven't been getting quite as cold as we have this week.I'm glad your DB and DSIL house sold already. That was fast.

reportssay the blue bonnets are doing great this year...five feet tall. Must be something to see!
Hoping Micki,s 24 hour apoquel pill holds him until 11 tomorrow. He wakes up itchy and drags his tummy on carpet. First year he licked it a lot andgot it infected...no fun at all. He was on the pills a week around this time last year.
