Thanks for the start, Karen. I hope you are enjoying the drive and get a good shot of the eagle’s nest. It was probably a good idea not to go to the store. April 2 is the 1 yr anniversary of Teddy’s farewell. He was always loud and stubborn. The rest came later in life. I think if one is born in NYC, one is born neurotic. I am pretty sure it is the water. Congrats to DB and DSIL on selling their house. It must be huge. I hope they find what they are looking for in AL soon. How far a drive would it be for you to the area in AL they are interested in? Linda, I hope you and Micki are doing okay with the allergies today. Those bluebells are gorgeous. One of our Metroparks has a Virginia bluebell garden that blooms in late April. Kathy, I hope the filling of forms side of retirement is progressing well. I bet it felt great to go for a nice walk in the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Is today shopping day? Becky, did that cramp like pain in your back go away? I hope HEB made right on their mistake. I hate self check out. I usually have to have the attendant fix something once or twice while I am checking out. I have been trying to rest bit the coughing makes it hard. It is improving little by little. Meanwhile, Iggy is feeling better and went to the store for a few things and made lunch. Neither of us has had an appetite for at least a week and have been living on toast, crackers and orange juice. Liz, I hope you have a warm up coming this weekend like we do. It has been brutally cold with a dusting of snow here and there. I hope Gary and the pups are well. How is St Crazy 😜 treating you this week? How is the knee? I hope you all enjoy National Cereal Day. Frosted flakes were my favorite as a kid, then I graduated to Life in high school and Grapenuts in college. Instant oatmeal was my go to for breakfast for a lomg, long time while working.

Chele, it sounds like you're turning the corner. Not much nutrition in toast, crackers, and OJ, but I know how it is when you don't feel like eating. No chicken soup? DB/DSIL's house is probably about 2500 sq ft, so not as large as you would think. The bedrooms, other than the master, aren't that large nor are the common spaces. I have told them several times not to feel pressured on their house hunting excursion next month. I hope they find what they want in their price range. Fingers crossed Iggy will hear something today or tomorrow. Was it Tom Petty who said the waiting is the hardest part? I grew up eating Cocoa Krispies then switched at some point to bran flakes and then learned to make an amazing granola. I don't make the granola anymore because it's not Fuhrman compliant. So I do either Muesli or my savory oats (kind of cereal).
How's the back, Becky? How are your temperatures? HEB is usually a good company and those clerks have to know you with as often as you go there.
Kathy, did you take another walk today? How was the grocery store? I'll bet it was very quiet compared to a lot of Saturdays you go.
How is Micki today, Linda? I love your photo with that cute little puppy nose. So true! Did you get outside to do anything today?
Dale installed the battery in the truck and then took a load to the dump that had been sitting in his truck for about a week. Good thing all the bears hang out on the other side of the mountains or we might have had problems. I took my little neighborhood drive, so my battery is also charged. I did find the eagles' nest and took several pictures. I would post one as an avatar but I'm afraid it would just look like a big gray blob amongst the tree tops. Nobody was home when I stopped but I felt like I was being watched. Then I looked across the road from the nest and noticed at least a dozen deer eyes watching me closely. Not going grocery shopping was definitely a good move because I wore my largest Crocs and they still weren't large enough. I hobbled out to the car, took the shoe off immediately and had it off for the entire drive and didn't put it back on when I got into the garage after the trip and haven't had one on since. I just finished watching my TN women barely win their first game in the SEC tournament and have to play the #1 team tomorrow. But this should keep them in the NCAA tournament. I told Dale when they're done I'm done this season. In the past when that happens (haven't gone all the way since 2007), I have switched to another team but not this year. I'll just switch to baseball season. I spent most of the morning working on the newsletter and am still waiting for stuff I need from the president, who is late again. I texted her this morning and she said she would have items to me "today". Knowing her, however, that could be after I'm tucked in bed for the night. Hopefully I can get it all knocked out tomorrow because I have a "spring forward" graphic that I'll have to replace otherwise.
Waving to Liz.

Just had a flashback to childhood song...the bear went over the mountain!
Wonder if you will sleep better with Iggy no longer traveling?
Got up before cleaning lady, finished decluttering, did five loads of laundry partly to get pollen out of pillow cases, dog bedding, etc. Used a painters' razor blade gizmo to scrape hard water splatters from lawn sprinklers off kitchen window, vinegar soaked hard water out if dog dish, put away laundry,
and skipped yoga because nobody wants tobe around someone coughing even if it is allergies. Tree pollen is going nuts. Grass and ragweed are starting and the worst offender...mulberry ....is not out there yet.
Got appointment with a new decently priced plumber (recommended by friend )to put in new shower arm brcause the threading us crumbling, and new toilet shutoff. Always something. Dryer vent cleaner coming tomorrow for annual. Nobody needs a fire!
We need to hit a flooring sale now and get new kitchen vinyl and matching bathroom and laundry. I kept putting it off but the grouting along the pergo edge is yucky because the original tile 1992 is uneven and replacing it did not work.
Going to Cheesecake factory for romano crusted chicken tonight. it comes with spaghetti, but I do not eat much of it..,Micki likes it!

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele My back pain isn't really a cramp.I thought I had gotten rid of it overnight but when I walked this afternoon I don't know if it hurt that bad or is just tired after grocery shopping this morning. It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk but the wind is still so strong it's hard to walk.At least it's a south wind and 74 degrees. When we got to HEB Kenneth had misplaced the receipt but they gave us the 2 items they hadn't put in the bag.I'm sure neither of you have felt like eating but I hope you both feel better soon.I will celebrate national cereal day tonight when I eat my Fiber One cereal that seems to help my IBS.
Karen It is warm but windy.I'm glad Dale got his battery installed.
Linda I saw that picture on Facebook the other day and today I'm feeling it.
Kathy I hope you are having a good day.

Chele, I haven't gotten most of the forms yet, but they should start coming next week. I'm glad you're feeling a little better and at least Iggy can go out for supplies. I had Cheerios Ancient Grains for breakfast, so I got my cereal in. I went through a Grape Nuts phase too and used to put them in my yogurt. I remember Seinfeld going on about them. What's the deal with Grape Nuts? No grapes, no nuts, what's the deal! We don't have self checkout in the grocery stores around here for some reason. I'm like you when I've used it though and something always seems to go wrong. Karen, I took a walk in the grocery store if that counts. There weren't as many people doing actual grocery shopping, but the deli section was crazy. I didn't need anything there today, so just walked past the crowd of college kids getting subs. They were on sale today, so that may have been part of the reason for the crowd. Glad to hear Dale got the battery installed. I bet the deer wondered what in the world you were up to. Linda, you've been busy! Cute picture. Enjoy the Cheesecake Factory. Becky, it was nice again here, but we're zooming up to 89 on Sunday. We probably won't get this cool again for quite awhile. Hope your wind calms down some. That's great that HEB replaced the items they didn't put in the bag. I've had that happen at Publix a couple of times and they've always been good about replacing things. Liz, hope you're doing okay this week.
