Quieter day yesterday and probably today. I made lentil/chard/potato soup for lunch today and may have some with a cheese sandwich in a bit. Tomorrow Maureen and I will head to Beirut to pay condolences as a friend died Thursday morning.
CHERRY: Thank you for the information about the two religions and their different dates for celebrating Easter.
LYNN: How fun to have coffee with a friend instead of being at work - even if it was cold outside! How fun to be going to shows on Broadway!
BEVERLY: You are a good person to sit all day in the hospital with your BIL! I hope you had crossword puzzles or a book or something to keep you busy!
PAM: I wish the couch I sit on when reading was more comfortable! What do you sit on to read...chair, recliner, couch, bed?
Read an interesting book last night (till late) about Pearl Harbor. It was called "The Lieutenant's Nurse" by Sara Ackerman. Interesting to me as dad was in the army and in Hawaii after the bombing...he never went to "war" as the war ended before he was sent overseas. Anyway, interesting story and one I rather enjoyed.

Good morning!
Cold here still, but manageable. I have to do laundry today and straighten up. I did a bit of food shopping yesterday, got gas and went to drug store for prescriptions. Lunch with my friend was nice.
Nothing else to report. Enjoy the day, my friends!!

Good morning. I'm up a little earlier than usual. I guess you could say I'm getting in practice for Daylight Saving time. It looks mostly cloudy right now and it's one degree. The overnight low was only -1 so I guess you could say it's warming up. The high today is supposed to be around 30. The lows for the next week will be above zero. Yea!
I got my prescription yesterday, picked up a few groceries, got air put in my tires, and talked with my grandson a bit at work. Don't have anything special on my schedule today, but I'll get in my exercise. Today I'll walk on the treadmill. Yesterday I did some weight lifting exercises, counter top pushups, and stretches.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Morning Ladies,
Well, it's Friday, somehow, I have gotten roped into doing my old Friday morning job @ church till Easter. One of the women is out with a knee replacement, so I was asked to fill in, being the way that I am, I said yes. So I am off to a fun-filled morning with them, then this afternoon DH has an eye appointment. I have to go with him because they put drops in his eyes & he can't see to drive home. Think I will run into the grocery store while he is in Dr's office.
Yesterday really wasn't too bad. It was as pleasant as sitting at the hospital all day could be. I read a couple of the short stories that I have been reading, then my kindel went dead & I didn't have the charger with me, so BIL & I just spent the rest of the time talking. He is a retired RN & he spent over 30 yrs working at the VA hospital in the mental ward!!! Boy, does he have some stories to tell!! I told a lot of the old Post Office stories that I have after my working there 31 yrs. We compared stories about our crazy customers & laughed a lot. SIL did well & is home recovering.
Well, off to the big job I go. Great day everyone!

Iām heading out shortly for a mani and pedi. My fingers and toes are definitely in need of the pampering.
Cathy, I have a wonderful recliner that is my favorite place to curl up to read, watch tv and just relax.
Hope everyone is having a great day and finding reasons to smile and opportunities to relax and pamper yourself.
