WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D12, 19 points, 4 rollovers, 8 water, 1198 calories, K8:15-7 (tomorrow starts 8:00!!)
No exercise today. We played pool but no treadmill cuz I had to get home in time to relieve the aide. I did have a good home weigh in this morning, good enough to switch to flex points and stop counting calories. But Sunday I’m off to the city to see To Kill a Mockingbird with DGK-16. She’s not staying over since she has a Sweet Sixteen to attend tonight. So she’ll meet me in the city. My friend is going to join us for lunch at the Marriott Marquis. That’s the in and out lunch we always have which consists of a cup of soup, a salad, and a small brie and ham sandwich on a baguette. And we will share our normal sinful dessert of warm lava cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I’ve learned to isolate that meal and stay strong the rest of the day. Hopefully this will be no exception.
Jan – I can’t wait to read your post each day. Another good one!! Warms my heart. Keep ‘m coming.
Lori – When the kids are on break, do you get a chance to play catch up with your work? It would seem so. Hopefully you got in a nice walk at lunch time today. The weather here was gorgeous.

Good morning! Another great day of eating in the books. I did have some kettle corn last night, but it was a controlled amount, not just eaten mindless from the bag while watching TV. I made a crustless broccoli quiche for dinner. It was a nice change, and so fast and easy to make.
Lori, did you get out for a walk at lunchtime yesterday? It was beautiful here.
Nancy, amazing what happens when we get right back on track from a binge, isn’t it? Great job! You have a fun weekend coming up. Enjoy the show and your times with DGD and your friend.

Nancy, Enjoy your Fun day!! Work is busy this time of year due to next year enrollment process...but it is a more relaxed, quiet environment - not as many interruptions. Jan, love hearing how well your doing!! Great job with portion control!

Down .8. According to my scale, it should have been more but that's OK. Down is down.
Jan - Another strong day under your belt. Kudos!!
Lori - Working without interruptions has to be a welcome change - for a while, at least. It's good that you got that walk in. The weather here has been gorgeous but unfortunately I haven't been taking advantage. No reason except that I've been busy.
I won't be able to start tomorrow's thread, as I'm going to bed early tonight because of the time change and tomorrow's plans. I really don't want to sleep thru the show which I've been known to do on more than one occasion. DGK and I have been promising to keep each other up.
Here are the stats I would have posted in the morning - C95D13, 25 points, 8 water, 1194 calories, K8:00-1.
Have a lovely Sunday BFFs...........
