I'm in also. DD and family are coming for dinner. I'm in charge of making potato salad and prepping some veggie appetizers. DSIL is smoking a brisket today and bringing it and a pot of beans to complete the dinner. DD and grand kids are starting spring break today so they'll all be in a great mood.
Don't forget to turn your clocks FORWARD tonight! Daylight savings starts tomorrow. The Texas Legislature is considering a bill to do away with daylight savings in Texas. I really hope that passes!
Have a great day, y'all!

Good morning. Went to the Y yesterday and did more than I thought I would and feel better today. Nothing exciting on the agenda today except for the puppy's first complete bath. That should be fun. Very sunny and warmer temps in the forecast and then freezing rain, sleet, and snow tomorrow. Sigh.... KOKO

Good morning.I'm in. linda72 Enjoy the dinner.I wish they would leave the time one way or the other but I doubt the farmers in TX would like doing away with DST. Susi Enjoy your day. fullmahina Enjoy the first dog bath. You may get wetter than the dog.LOL. We are going to sign our tax refund papers this morning so they can send them in and then going to buy groceries.I don't like going to the HEB Plus over there on Saturday's but we need enough to get through the weekend. Morning all. I'm in. It's warming up here too and we're getting itchy for Spring. linda72, I read this morning that several states are making efforts to stop DST while others are pushing to make it year round. The arguments for both are compelling. I'm still torn as I love the extra hour of daylight through the summer. fullmahina, I hope you get pictures of a soapy puppy. My dinner menu for the week is made and it's time to get groceries. Tonight, dinner and board games with friends. Enjoy the day!

Good morning. I’m (kinda) in. The Texas Legislature is considering a bill to do away with daylight savings in Texas. I really hope that passes! In the November election California had a measure on the ballot to permit the legislature to select year-round standard time or daylight saving time. It was very ambiguous, with no statement which way they would go. I kind of figured this was a way of getting more votes to ensure passage. And it did pass. On the morning news there was a report of a state assembly person who is declaring that the state legislator will pass a bill to make DST permanent. I figured this was coming. So now instead of being tired, cranky, and disoriented 8 months a year I’ll be that way all year round. Bummer.
I’ve been trying to adjust to a medication increase and have been sleeping poorly. Last night was the worst. I may need to go back to bed. That’s it. KOKO

Good Morning Everything is in bloom here too. My cough is lingering now on its second month. Generally I cough more at night. My husband bought me a Phillips SAD clock so I wake up to the sun rising and the sound of birds and ocean waves. Unfortunately I usually wake up earlier to the cat meowing near my face. He stand on the floor next to my head and has a loud irritable voice. He wants to be lifted to the sink for slightly running water and then fed special treats with breakfast. Farmers have a difficult time with the changing times for DST. Susi, does the accountant give you a better return if you bring lunch Had a beyond fabulous dinner last night and an almost 2 lb gain today. Can there be that much salt in restaurant food. Actually I should not have had dessert if I really cared. I was impeccable in my eating all day and even walked the dog to exchange the pint at the ice cream shop to avoid ordering a scoop. It was a good almost 2 mile walk.Today is our granddaughter's birthday party, a garden party with Mexican food. I am going to grab a bottle of water first thing and avoid the food. Dinner is at home, grilled swordfish, butternut squash, haricots verts and salad. We leave in the morning for four nights in Las Vegas with a group DH represents. I am tagging along to shop and play slots.

I’m in. We’re celebrating my sister’s birthday with a movie then out to lunch. It’s a new restaurant for us, but we enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and we’ll focus on celebrating and being with family. Have a great day everyone.

Audrey, you reminded me that the 2nd cold I caught, like yours, hung on for the better part of two months. Not constant, worse at night, and just annoying. Thankfully it seems to finally be gone. And your furry alarm clock experience is the same one I get each morning. Although Missy doesn’t need to sit next to my head—her voice is so load that it would wake the dead. She bellows and paces, I yell “shut up,” she keeps it up, and eventually she wins…I get up, lift her to the bathroom sink, turn on the water, and she drinks. After she is sated, she goes back to bed while I, of course, am too awake to do the same. I’ve threatened to get separate bedrooms—hers being upstairs nowhere near me!

zazzles When George was outside he meowed while pacing back and forth outside the bedroom sliding glass door. There is no way to win.

One of my cats used to meow and knead in my tummy to wake me up.I keep their food and litter boxes in my bath and I keep an elastic string tied to the door knob so Scooter can't get in there. Both have finally figured out the elastic gives a little and they can scoot right past it going in there and coming back out.During the rest of the day the one who used to meow seems to want an escort every time I go in there.
