WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (therefore acknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

C95D14, 12 points and 570 calories + isolated luncheon, 4 water, K:900 (I didn’t get home until 8 PM and hadn’t eaten since 2 PM).
OMG - To Kill a Mockingbird was amazing. I can’t remember hearing such an aggressive standing ovation with all the hoots and hollers you might expect, It was funny, sad, creative.. I could go on and on. The acting was phenomenal. I have no doubt it will kill on the Tonies. Lunch with DGK and my friend was delightful as always and she got to meet DS and DDIL for a short visit as well. I also think I did well on the eating as you can see from the above stats.
At the meeting they asked us to enter small goals in writing. My goal this week is, in addition to my normal activities, to get in 30 minutes of either the treadmill, mall, or outside walking at least 3 days this week. I've been slacking on exercise so this is a way to ease back in.

Good morning. I was having a terrible, stressful dream when my alarm went off. It’s left me feeling tired and worn out before my day even starts.
I had some kettle corn yesterday and kept it in control. I also had just one bite of an apple fritter. I can’t believe I did so well with that.
Lori, another great eating in the books for you, I have no doubt. Are the kids back this week?
Kathy, I made a low point banana bread yesterday too. It didn’t call for salt but I but some in the batter. I should have skipped it, lol.
Nancy, so glad you had such an enjoyable day! I think you’ll like the chocolate hummus, but I’m not sure about regular hummus. You might not care for the flavor.

Last night I did more snacking then needed but kept it in control. Someone gave me a bucket of chocolate covered pretzels for Christmas and I've been allowing myself one on Sunday nights, if the weekend went well, last night I saw one was broken so I had 1 1/2 plus a few other low point snacks...DH can't believe I still have the bucket - he doesn't know all my secret stash...lol
Nancy, What a great day you had yesterday!! you'll like the chocolate hummus (you can't taste chickpeas)..I like it as an apple dip and with strawberries and banana. If you try the chickpea/banana muffin recipe, you can't taste chickpeas at all. Jan, sorry to hear about the dream - not a good way to start the day....hope your day improves!! Love how you are enjoying a treat and keeping it in control!! The kids here just started their break and it goes until March 25th. I'll be enjoying a nice long walk at lunchtime! Kathy, isn't it nice to have a healthy low point snack handy!! They would be great for your traveling...
Have a great day everyone!

Jan - I did like the chocolate hummus. What a weird breakfast. I had a banana dipped in 1 tablespoon of the hummus followed by a single serve Cozy Shack tapioca pudding. So 4 points and 218 calories. I love how you're incorporating small treats into your regimen without going off the rails. I think that's what we're all trying to do this time around and I think it's what's tending to keep us relatively on track.
Lori - I decided to check as well - compared Monday 3/11/18's home WI with today's - down 5.5. We're pretty much neck n neck GF. I doubt it would have been the case without daily check ins with my BFFs.
