Karen, thanks for the start. Just saw that the president's proposed budget has deep cuts for the EPA and Medicare among other things. Hopefully, it won't get through Congress like that. Hope you got your release for the feets!
Linda, LOL, that's about how I feel right now.
Waving to all. Hope you have a great day!

Chele, how are you feeling? You've been treating the bronchitis for a week now. Do you feel like you've made a week's worth of progress? Hope the tax appointment went well and it didn't wear you out too much.
Love the cartoon, Linda. I think most of us can relate. How are the allergies doing? Was the pot roast as good as it smelled?
Kathy, you have a good plan for the week/month. Was the weather conducive to an outdoor walk today? I hope you will get your paperwork you need to get so you can get all that completed and behind you. I had heard this morning that the president was going to cut a lot of social programs from his budget so he could find over $8 billion for his precious wall. Since he thinks climate change is a hoax, I'm not surprised he is trying to cut the EPA. Like you, I hope he doesn't get what he wants. I'm aghast that he actually said at his weekend fundraiser that Democrats hate Jews. You just never know what's going to come out of his mouth next. And he is already giving deregatory nicknames to Democratic presidental candidates. Talk about acting like a 3rd grader!
How were the quesadillas, Liz? I agree with Kathy that I might have temporarily misplaced the phone over the weekend. Is your organization that authoritarian or are these people just not confident enough to do their jobs and need to defer decisions?
Becky, I hope you had another nice day. We had more rain. It started out OK but started raining as soon as I walked out of the doctor's office and I had rain all the way to the therapy center and the grocery store and it finally slowed down some on my way home. I keep seeing Austin on the news because SXSW is going on right now.
The doc released me. The stitches in the left foot were supposed to be dissolvable but had not dissolved, so he took them out. I get to start back to Osteo next week so I'll go back to Thursdays. I have an 11:30 appointment followed by a 20 minute Hydro Massage appointment at a spa a couple of miles from there. My GF who started going to Osteo has a Hydro Massage as part of her package and says it's wonderful. I hope doing it will help my muscles to not get as sore. The new sandals worked well but I will need to be able to wear closed toe shoes to go to the gym this Thursday, but can probably use my Crocs. I'm hoping that now that the stitches are out that there will be less pain and perhaps less swelling eventually. I did spend 20 minutes on the NuStep and also used the weight machine. Those weren't bad in sandals but I wish I had actual shoes when I had to be out in the rain. I plan to behave this week to get my feet(s) healed as quickly as possible.

Wow, Karen, always feels good to get stitches out. Hydro therapy was great for mom, wish I had it. But at least I havea big corner oval tub I can soak in and turn over easily to get up from my knees.
Chele, are you getting well?
Stopped listening to Trump jabber , insult, and flip flop.I just wait to see what actually happens. No way will that budget get through the current house.
Boy, sometimes I regret not having children after the miscarriages, but then I pay attention to others posting. This week one nephew who was doing well on meds and in college had a major depression crash and had to drop out while meds get changed, adjusted...people have no idea how hard depression is. Dogs are easier.
His sister with the real big wedding in November, (hasty city hall one before he got in a sub for six months ) keeps getting told different dates he will be transferred to shore job up to Christmas, no idea where. She is a teacher and has to figure that out.
Military life is hard. My other niece had to pack up three kids, pets, house and replace the car, move across country at short notice last summer.
I got my eight foot shallow trench dug, sawed off the defunct end bubbler piece, went to Home Depot and found the pipe and right parts amid the ocean of small white pieces. The glue sets up almost immediately, so that it's done, covered and cleaned up. The extension let me get rid of a lot of pesty driplines to trip over. Should start to rain in a couple hours, more so all night. Hope it vleans out some pollen.
So I am in my robe Curled up with tea and the new Donna Leon Venice mystery.

Thanks for the start, Karen. I am glad you got released and the stitches out. Did you hightail it from the doc to the NuStep? A hydromassage sounds good. I hope it helps. How is Dale doing on his marathon training?
Kathy, I hope the financial stuff is taken care of soon. I hate that stuff.
Liz, I guess we should call it St. Make You Crazy. I hope it is a better week.
Becky, I hope you got your errands done without too much rain.
Linda, you got a lot accomplished. I hope Micki has calmed down from yesterday.
The taxes are done and we are getting a refund so โyay.โ It was a nice sunny day in the 40s so we drove over to Starbucks for something hot to drink. I am feeling better. It has been slow going, I think, because I had a cold along with the bronchitis. The chest feels better but my sinuses are still congested. No naps today, though, so that is progress.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Kathy I hope you are having a good time.Is your dinner tonight or was it last night?
Karen What I heard President Trump say about the Dems was they were against Israel. That was definitely true with Obama. He wouldn't meet with them if I remember correctly but every time Trump says something it's usually open mouth insert foot afterwards. He may think all Dems hate Jews but I don't believe everyone in either party feels the same about every issue. We get so tired of hearing about all the weather forecasts centering around SXSW.Like there's nothing else going on around TX.We had a low of 56 this morning and it's 65 right now. It's felt damp all day and looks dreary. We are expecting rain sometime tomorrow through Wednesday at noon.If it doesn't rain either of those 2 days they are saying the rain chances may be gone for awhile. We could really use 1" or so right now although we aren't in drought status.I'm glad the doc released you.Take it easy with your feet(s) even though you were released.
My back was really hurting badly when I woke up this morning and I have no idea why.It didn't bother me while I was laying on the chair during the night. We went to the bank,HEB and WM and it hurt walking around shopping so I'm not doing any outside walking today.I have done one 30 min round on the recumbent bike and will do another 30 min in a bit.I have been laying back on the recliner with a heating pad under my back and will see how that does.
Linda I definitely know how hard depression is.I have had it off and on since my 30's.One psychiatrist diagnosed it as bipolar but when I went for my psych assessment in Bastrop they said it was depression.
Chele Are you feeling any better any better? We haven't had any rain yet but am still waiting.I'm glad you are getting a refund. We are too but not as much as in the past.We will take anything we can get though.

Linda, it does feel SOOO good to have no stitches. I have beenable to wear a pair of Crocs this afternoon with only minimal pain. The HydroMassage isn't exactly in water. It's almost like a heated water bed of sorts. Here's a link . I'll bet there is a spa with these in your area somewhere. I was surprised to find one at a place I pass by on my way home. They offer 10, 15, and 20 minute sessions and are essentially priced at $1 a minute, so pretty reasonable compared to a personal massage. I'll do a 20 minute first and see if I want to cut it back to 15 but may keep it at 20 minutes. Yes, pets are in many ways easier than kids. I see everything that DB/DSIL have gone through with their kids and now their kids' kids. The toughest things about pets are when they get sick and when we lose them, which always happens way too soon. I did sort of hightail it to the NuStep, Chele. Didn't have to go far, however, because they are only a block apart. Dale is in the process of tapering his training and seems to be doing well on the higher protein diet I recommended. Congrats on the refund. That's always a nice thing, but extra nice this year because, due to the new tax laws, a lot of people who thought they were aren't. I'm happy you're making progress. Just accept that it's going to be slow, but that's going to have to be the process to recovery. Becky, in the minds of a lot of people, there IS nothing going on in TX except SXSW. I have beeen amazed at how many news shows have people broadcasting from the events there. I'm glad you're far enough away from it that you don't have to deal with the crowds. I think, instead of passing the resolution in the House that led to the "Dems hate Jews" comment would have been to sanction the representative who made the inappropriate comments in the first place, but apparently they weren't willing to do that. Are you able to take something to relieve your back pain, other than not walking? It seems to be bothering you more than it was. Is it the same old problem you've been dealing with for years or has something changed? I'm planning to try some yoga in the a.m. Z Living has Namaste running continuously from 6-11 am, so I'll catch an early show (they are all different) and then hopefully do 15 or 20 minutes on the rowing machine, feet willing. Dale said he was going to set up my Vibe Plate but if he did, he didn't tell me. I would love to start doing 10 minutes a day on it tomorrow. Anxious to get back into it but I promise I won't push.

Karen I hadn't heard the representative who made that comment but I agree he should have been sanctioned.Trump does have a bad habit of hoof in mouth disease though.LOL.His budget will never make it through the senate so I don't think anyone has to be concerned about Medicaid.TX didn't extend medicaid past a couple of years ago I think.I am glad we aren't in the middle of that in Austin. This back problem seems to be in a different area.I did buy something called backaid plus or something like that and I have put heat on it.I'm thinking however it's part of the curved spine because my spine feels so bony anyway. There is no meat on it.LOL. I hope you enjoy yoga.
