Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends! We welcome old and new friends, please come and join us.

Good morning!
This will be short for now. Our internet is down, so I'm getting us started on my phone. Same phone that I bounced down Stone Mountain a while back - so the shattered screen makes this a little challenging.
Got most of my holiday shopping completed yesterday. Just a couple of little details to iron out this week. There wasn't a lot I had to do this year.
Today is a big grocery store run. We're going to try to get in and out early. I'm going to jump in the shower now so we can head that way soon.
Hopefully the interent will resolve and I'll be back with a bigger screen - and without the spider web of cracks. Ha!
Have a great day everyone!

Thanks for getting us started, Lora, under difficult circumstances. Are you getting a new cell phone for Christmas? I mean, you bought your own Instant Pot so one can hope, right?
I also have to get to the supermarket and maybe I'll go early too - I always worry that they don't have all the food out if I go too early and I really don't want to have to go back again, but given the crowds, I might just take my chances. I went to Target last night to get the big tub of Chobani whole milk yogurt (the only place that carries it around here) that I like and it was mobbed. I thought with all the rain and snow and it being night time (and a Saturday night), that it might be empty, but far, far, from it. There weren't even any shopping carts available. Wow.
I also have to go buy tickets for a Met Opera live in HD performance in January that I'm going to, will do that this afternoon when the box office is open. Otherwise, no plans today except for the gym. I bought tickets for a performance from a London theater of War Horse which I never got to see either on Broadway or when the movie came out. It's tomorrow night, looking forward to it.
Still trying to rein my eating in. Yesterday was another bust. Nothing more to be said.
Have a great day all. Will bbl, getting some more coffee in my mug... Oh, I'm curious, what kind of coffee pot/machine do you all use? I took my new Keurig into work to use there and am back to using a Hanmilton Beach machine which brews directly into my mug, no carafe. Just curious.

Hi Everyone, I am a great aunt again to a baby girl in Isreal. I will probably never get to know her really. My nephew's bar mitzvah is coming up and I may try to go since I haven't been to Isreal in several years. I have to find out exactly when it or about the time. I don't think it's planned yet but may be wrong. Going to get to the gym for a bit and may go food shopping. Its supposed to rain heavy at some point today so hopefully will be done before that happens. I may not offer to shop for my friend because she doesn't like to be called early which means I could be stuck in the downpour running around. Last Spring going towards summer I was considering taking dance class as a form of exercise. I had found some studios but they were downtown or closed during the summer. My friend recently sent me this link about this one that isn't so far from me and they have adult classes that you can drop in on. There isn't a commitment to it but the time isn't until 7:30 so that would be the only thing that would stop me because I don't want to go back out once I get home but too much time to wait in between. There is a class at 6-7 on one night which I might just make if I left right in time and its not my night to make dinner. So I will have to see. It's a reasonable price too. (10.00) We shall see I guess. I haven't even made it to my gym on the weekdays yet. I like my gym but there was one closer to my house that I had considered too. Since I had got a discount off the price from that gym I joined there plus the bigger pool and pool availability when a class was going on. At the gym closer to me you can't go in the pool if there is a class going on if it's not the one you want. Its much smaller than the one at my gym. Oh well! Have a great day!

Good Morning ROs...did a little better eating yesterday. Must get to the gym soon because we are going to church this AM since we didn't go last night. Hope to get a few Christmas items bought today...we'll see.
Lora - thanks for starting us...hope you get all the shopping done early.
Andi - can't believe how crowded Target was last night! I just have an older style carafe coffee maker...so no help here. I have thought of getting a Keurig or something since DH doesn't drink coffee since the heart attack (man he lived on coffee before). Let me know what you decide.
Janet - congrats - it is too bad that part of your family is so far away. Glad you have a sister here that you can do things with (even if she does get on your nerves sometimes - ha).
OK...need to help DH get up so I can be off to the gym.

Lora, thanks for starting up, especially from your phone because I am sure that's much harder. Glad you got most of your shopping done. I am also going to get my food shopping done this afternoon. I am making minestrone soup and candied carrots for some donation meals for Christmas, and have to get ingredients.
Susie, I think I know what your DH is working on now, but not sure. It sounds like it could be loans that are kicked back after closing for some reason and they have to figure out what is missing and get it, or what needs correction.
Anndie, my DM goes to those Metropolitan Opera performances, but I have never been. My aunt and uncle used to have seasons tickets, and I loved it when my DM and I would go once in a while. Their performances are spectacular if you like opera. Not surprised that it was so crowded at Target, I think people sometimes go out to stores on Saturday nights as entertainment. Dinner out and shopping?
Meeting DS's fiance at a wedding gown boutique this afternoon. It is right near a Michael's, and I need to get some knitting needles for a project. I was inspired to buy something because of a pop up on Facebook, but they only send yarn, you download instructions, but have to get the needles and I don't have them. I thought it was an easy pattern, but didn't realize how I would have to increase every other row, so may not be as mindless as I thought. At least I can do the food shopping at the same time, there is a nice supermarket in the same parking lot, and I have a $5 off coupon for them.

Hi, Got to the gym and did both the eliptical and bike. Then did go food shopping for my friend too. I had forgotten to turn further down so was pretty close to their apartment anyway. I had told her I was only doing essentials and not everything she needed. So the list wasn't very long but still glad I got it for them. It turns out her husband's car is not working right. It may be time to get a new car as it is 16 years old and probably not worth putting too much money into fixing it. I did get my salmon though and it was a good price. I had it up on the top part of the cart and didn't realize I hadn't put it on the belt and I guess neither the guy or I realized. I had actually walked into the lobby of the store going out when I realized that I hadn't paid for it. I went back in and used then self check out to pay for it. When I did that it rang up for cheaper then it said on the package. It didn't say anywhere it was less so I will take that discount. Came home and did some vacuuming and cleaning. Going to make my salmon and sweet potato and roasted brocoli soon. Have a good night.

I ended up not having time to get to the gym (too much time on the computer - ha), but I will get there for sure tomorrow morning. Had a nice day and got a lot accomplished. Neighbors are supposed to be caroling tonight in the neighborhood... I always love when they stop at my house...reminds me of a Christmas movie. DH and I will enjoy this tonight especially -hope the rain holds off til they are finished!
Janet - you are such a good person to shop for your friend. Yeah for getting to the gym too!
Robin - pretty close... in Pends, the loan has already closed but there is something wrong with the documentation (could be maybe 30 different things). DH probably wonders why I am asking him all these questions - ha!

Good evening all. Susie, I didn't get to the gym either, again. Maybe when I retire. Or the weather gets warmer and the days are light past 4 PM. I'm so unmotivated right now, would settle for just getting my food under control...
Today was actually a good day foodwise. I roasted some veggies - cauliflower, fennel and carrots, and made a baked oatmeal recipe from Hungry Girl for my breakfasts for the week. I'm going to do like the old people do tomorrow and eat my dinner at 4 before I leave work so I can go see War Horse at 7:15 and not starve to death. I'll eat my afternoon snack during the movie, a Quest bar and a cup of decaf, most likely. I will have leftovers from tonight - really am enjoying TJ's frozen ginger soy codfish. A little salty though.
Had such a lazy weekend. I even had a nap late this morning. I do love naps. Hope I can get to sleep tonight... Last full week of work ahead before the holiday and my trip to Cayman, leaving a week from Wednesday. Counting the days.
Have a good evening all. And here's to another healthy eating day tomorrow! Maybe I can get 2 back to back.

Susie, I know exactly what your DH does, like a loan I just had that we closed, then realized that part of the contract wasn't signed by the seller. In NY, we have contracts that are negotiated by attorneys for each side. I normally never talk to the selling side, but I did it to get what I needed. One of my companies called that type of work scratch and dent. Don't ask me why.
Andi, good plan to get yourself in order food wise. Hope you enjoy your trip to Cayman, I am sure you will. I have been a number of times on cruise ships, but never stayed there for an extended period of time. We always had fun though.
Wedding gown shopping was successful in that she decided to get a dress from her last shopping expedition. She is ordering it though from the place near my house, which she liked better. The good thing about that also is that when she goes for a fitting my mother will be able to come along without it being as much of a hassle. I didn't get the knitting needles I needed, or the extra toys I was going to get for my cleaning woman's grand kids. I would like to get a few more small things for them.
