I'm in. Good Morning MJ and ATF
I overslept and actually feel more groggy now than when I'm sleep deprived. Go figure. Go coffee! I'm still trying to wrap my head around Lori Loughlin aka Aunt Becky, being indicted for federal crimes in this college entrance scandal. Sigh. On a more cheerful note, I'm meeting a girlfriend for lunch on an otherwise typical Wednesday. Hamburger patties, sweet potato fries and salad for dinner.
Enjoy the day!

Good morning. Cold, bright, and sparkling with frost this morning. Colder than it was supposed to be but what can you do but wait for Spring, I guess. Headed to the gym again later and not much else on the agenda except for the usual. Li'l Rosie's last puppy shots are next week and I can't wait until she can be taken out without worrying about those horrible puppy diseases. She needs to see the world! MFP has been totally whacked for me the last few days. It locked up my Samsung phone ("known issue," according to MFP) and I have to admit that the desktop version is awful. So I grabbed a little notebook and started writing down my food for the day. I like it---it's faster than finding the food, changing the portion size, etc. So I think I will go old-school for a while. I've been waxing nostalgic for Weight Watchers lately. My history has always been to join Weight Watchers at least twice a year, whether it was meetings or online. It's sad that I don't even consider it to be a viable option anymore. Sometimes I would go with Jenny Craig for extreme control but will never again use JC for a variety of reasons. I feel like I need a kickstart and there is nothing that I can think of that will do that. My sister-in-law has done well with NutriSystem and Costco has $100 gift cards for $55 plus the program is 50% off now if you play it right. I like that the NS plan includes two days per week on your own---don't want to give up my home cooking completely! Sigh....always looking for that golden ticket. Well at least I started doing something positive with the gym thing but I feel totally stuck with the weight loss issue. Seems like I have been gaining and losing the same fifteen pounds forever. Wishing all a good day. KOKO.

Good Morning. I went to be st 1 a.m. woke up at 3 back to sleep and out of bed at 6:30. This is my last morning I have build your own creative breakfast. I order a la carte 2poached eggs With a side of sliced tomatoes and a side of avocados.I cut the tomatoes put the eggs on top season with pepper at the avocados. I have mixed berries , coffee, hot water with lemon and one piece of whole wheat toast. It is a big breakfast but fills me up to avoid the temptations everywhere. Packing after breakfast and then explore more of this huge property while DH works in the room. Late checkout, lunch and we leave for the airport at 3:30. Happy day everyone.

Good morning. I’m in. Today is a “free” day with no commitments. I’ll use it to run some errands. fullmahina, if you want to try an alternative to MFP, look at MyNetDiary. They have both apps and web site tracking and, like most, offer basic tracking for free. Now I need more coffee. KOKO

Happy hump day everyone! I scored a free coffee at Starbucks this morning (it was just a tall blonde roast, but I'll take it)! They were doing a happy hour! YUM! Really nothing much to report. It's still quiet here in the office, I have at least one work related thing to do each day. Gotta spread it out! LOL It's an on and off rainy day here! I will take it! It's NOT SNOW!! I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!

Good morning. Cold but sunny and warming up. I'm planned and tracked except for dinner. Hoping to make my workshop after Charlie's vet check up but not too likely.

Good morning all! I overslept this morning so we got a later start for our walk. I was up late last night because we were finishing a Netflix series called "Secret City". Thanks, bbbearsmom for the recommendation; we really enjoyed the series. I'm still 1/2 pound beyond my limit so I guess I'll skip WW until that comes off too. I'm cheap; I don't want to pay WW if I don't have to! doordie50, I also keep thinking about the college entrance scandals and hate hearing about it. Plus, I'm sure there are many others doing this that we don't even know about. So sad. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning everyone! Thank you for getting us going MJ, you are awesome! ☕️ I am in. doordie50, I know!! One of my Hallmark fav stars. I wonder how they are going to handle it. I pondered doing a thread about it but well I almost added my love for the Hallmark channel to the "things you won't admit in public post." 🤣🤣🤣 fullmahina boy do I hear you on needing the "fresh start, honeymoon phase" whatever you want to call it. I just need my head back in the game and my freaking thyroid leveled out so I don't feel like I need a fatted cow presented to me daily to feast upon. Hopefully now that it is warming up my body won't feel like it needs to be in survival mode anymore and that we no longer live in caves and that I certainly don't need to store fat to protect infants. 🤣 That is where WW is really missing out. It has been so long since they did any program tweaks, and even longer since they had a program for the masses. They are still trying to claim you can eat whatever you want yet ever since SP came around most of us have been eating in the red, spending time in the wastelands, banished and feeling punished (you get the point.) Stop with the "our scientists have found BS" and just get back to what actually works. /rant 🤣 you guys know better than to get me started on this. Have a great day everyone! ☕️☕️☕️

I'm in & heading to the library soon for a presentation. A local chef is doing a talk on healthy eating. Hope everyone has a nice day. fullmahina, I made your cornbread recipe & it's delish. Thanks for posting the link. doordie50, DebDoesWW, I enjoy Garage Sale Mysteries so it'll be interesting to see how Hallmark handles this scandal. DebDoesWW, So how do you really feel about the current WW program? I've felt that way since SP. It's a shame because I never thought I'd leave WW.

That is where WW is really missing out. I was just having some thoughts about this a few minutes before I read your post. Why? I was searching the WW site looking at recipes for Banana breads and muffins. When I’d spot on that was low enough in SPs, I’d click the link and evaluate the recipe. What did I find? Every single low-points breakfast bread/muffin recipe that is reasonable SPs was either ONE mini-muffin (recipe makes 24) or a slice of 1/18th of a standard loaf. Seriously? I think that “Eat whatever you like” advertising is false in its lack of completeness—it should say “Eat whatever you like in EXTREMELY limited and less-than-satisifying quantities." Now, perhaps, some people could be satisfied with one mini-muffin as their breakfast, but that would never cut it for me. More and more I feel like WW just needs to use standard nutrition and calories, give members an option to have them reduced to a non-factored points number OR displayed as standard nutrition, and let the members be the adults that they are and make their own choices—healthy or not. Seriously, which is healthier: a breakfast consisting of coffee and a muffin, or a breakfast consisting of plain FF Greek yogurt, eggs, and fruit with points used for significant alcohol later in the day.

Since nostalgia for old WW programs was brought up, I'll say that I do often wish I could get back to Core Plan eating. Not even Simply Filling. Core. I know that for me Core Plan eating is ideal. Whenever I did a points only plan I'd fall into unhealthful eating habits. But if eating Core, or any serious diet, was easy at the moment I'd be doing it. My husband LOVED the Core Plan meals I made. Though I lost weight on a low carb diet once, it was rather miserable for me. Actually, the last few days eating has been better for me. Not perfect, but better. I have my first French lesson this Friday. I finally scheduled it. I'm a little nervous. zazzles, I am a big fan of bready/cakey breakfasts. I like eggs, but not until 10 am at the earliest. Actually, I prefer them for lunch. You know, I have made a rendition of your bread pudding many times using Schmidt's low cal/carb white bread. I like it with just 5 oz bread instead of 6 oz. Once I made it with only 4 oz and still liked it. Though it is slightly eggy, it's not an egg dish, in my book. I like it for breakfast. The serving size is generous. I also like your scone recipe and another from a WW cookbook. I have made many banana breads and muffins over the years. More of them than any other one baked good. Though my favorite banana nut muffin recipe is not that diet friendly, my favorite banana bread can be. I use a recipe from my Fanny Farmer cookbook. It is almost fat free, with the exception of one or two egg yolks in it and nuts I usually use. I have also made it with Truvia baking blend, with good results, to cut down on the sugar. Regular and brown varieties. The recipe calls for more sweetness than is necessary, to my taste, so that cuts down sugars even more. It's not as cakey, but more a dense bread. Given that, it's filling. If you're interested in it, let me know. I have even made it with whole wheat pastry flour or a combo of all-purpose and whole wheat with good results. I spread just a tsp of light butter with canola on it, but that's not necessary.

DebDoesWW While I think points plus is a great plan because of the GHGs for some reason I get hungier on it and I think it is because I am used to the point discount the original smart points gives me. I end up using more points because I eat more protein. I also like my carbs so I am kinda torn between the two plans since I lost on both plans. Just keep me away from free for all. I guess I will go with the Becky plan. No wait. That is what brought me to WW in the first place.

zazzles the only WW dessert recipe I made other than pumpkin fluff was meringue cookies with mini Chocolate chips and /or mint extract. The others were a waste of effort. You can google low sugar banana bread/muffins and find better recipes.
