Happy Pi Day! We celebrated a day early. Iggy wanted pizza last night to celebrate his new job. He is going downtown to fill in the paperwork as they want him to start next week. It is a 15 min drive to the office and the parking garage leads directly to the building. It will be different for him to work regular office hours and go into the office every day. He said he felt like it was the first day of school this morning as he got ready to leave.
I overdid it yesterday and have had a bit of a relapse in the coughing department. I guess my lungs weren’t ready for the heavy breathing even in 5 min spurts. I guess I will dial it back today.
Waving to all. I hope to BBL.

So happy for you and Iggy. maybe the house can have a normal cycle.
electrician came at nine and ten minutes later the guy to check the door finish got here early. As electrician finished his check and tried to sell us on stuff, the locksmith came! So it is all done early. DH went to collect the Canadian money and they would not give it to him because I was the one who ordered it, and he is miffed.
So when he gets back, I will fetch it and then make the individual meatloaves for supper and freezer. No real ambition. Allergies are kicking my butt!

Chele, pizza is a great celebration treat. And, it's great you were so close to Pi Day. Sorry you seem to have overdone it yesterday, but sometimes it's tough not to. LOL on Iggy's first day of school. It will be different for both of you because you are used to having him home when he's not traveling. Had he already processed out of the old company or is that something else he has to do quickly? Nice to have a 15 minute commute with attached parking. Regular working hours has to be the 24/7 when he's out of town.
What's in your new avatar, Linda? Has everyone shown up, done their thing, and left by now? Has your wind died down? Ours has kicked up but it's been worse. When do you fly out for Vancouver?
Becky, the closest yoga classes are at the same place I used to do water aerobics and the only daytime classes are on Friday, so not worth the effort. Namaste Yoga is on Z Living, which also has a lot of healthy cooking and wellness shows. Are you still having seasonal temps today?
What's your weather like today, Kathy? I hope you got to walk the neighborhood. We are at 69 and partly cloudy, but we just had a 17 mph wind gust. Beats rain, so I'll take it! Have you heard from DS? Is DN home or did he go somewhere for his spring break?
Liz, what's going on with you? Do you have appointments yet with physiatrist and/or rheumatologist yet? Are things smoothing out any with your problem child? Any plans for the weekend? How many more weeks til vacay?
It's Thursday, but I had a typical Tuesday, with AF workout and local errands. Dropped off a load of recycling (still have one in the garage to take Tuesday and that will be caught up), dropped off the bottle of oxy at the PD meds drop box, went to Aldi, picked up Dale's favorite chocolate milk at a local convenience store/dairy, and picked up a few things at Walgreens. After I got home and got all the purchases put away, I got a package of seitan strips out of the freezer to make fajitas for dinner this evening. We're going to be able to have dinner on the screened porch with it being relatively warm. Did some heavy duty dusting trying to get the house back in order (Dale doesn't clean). At least it's warm enough to have a few windows open today so I can get a little fresh air inside, which hasn't happened for a while.

Linda, we cross psted. Don't blame Bob for being miffed, but when ever I order a pizza and Dale is doing the pick up, I have to make special arrangements, so not real surprising. Sorry about the allergies. Hopefully you won't have to deal with them in Canada this time of year. Glad ou got all the workers in and out early. How were the cheese curds?

Linda, it is great you had everyone in and out quickly. I love that word “miffed” but sorry Bob had a wasted trip. I think allergy season has started here as well. I hope yours clear up soon.
Karen, I assume your workout and errands had no repercussions on the feet? Enjoy dinner in the screened in porch. Iggy’s idea of dusting is to wipe his hand across the furniture while tut tutting and giving me a disgusted look. I just thank him for dusting.
It is going to be weird having Iggy become a commuter again after all this time. On the plus side I won’t have to make a large meal in the middle of the day. On the minus side he won’t have flexible hours any more. That came in handy many times when I needed him with me somewhere.

Chele, so far so good on the feet(s). I had a little discomfort when I started the bike but it faded and I got in 30 minutes. Granted, it was basically no resistance, but it was good cardio. With the NuStep on Monday, I will have my 5 days of exercise in after I get off the rowing machine tomorrow, which has been the most I have done since 2 weeks before the first surgery. We enjoyed our "outdoor" dinner. Wind is coming from the south and the screened porch is on the north side of the house, so it blocked the wind. LOL on "tut tutting". Dale barely notices, but I do. I've just had to ignore it lately since I can't do much about it. Will Iggy take his lunch or have lunch away from the office? It does help sometimes tohave them near by. With Arya being so skittish when she is left alone, I'm not sure I could go very far if he didn't work at home. Will he be doing the 9 to 5 M-F?

The cheese curds were good...found them at Sprouts.
The avatar is a subway stop in Vienna that we know well. I am doing a small painting of it, more abstract.

Linda, I am sure the painting will be gorgeous.
Karen, I am happy to near tne feet didnprotest very much. Iggy will never take lunch with him. Never has. He will be working 8-5. It is a Midwest thing. You don’t get paid for your lunch break.

Chele, a 15 minute commute and the parking should be a big improvement for Iggy. Hopefully, he'll have some flexibility with hours once he's been there awhile. My official hours were always 8-5 too and we never got paid for lunch. Most places had some kind of flex time though, at least in more recent years. Glad you had a pizza Pi Day celebration even if it was a day early. Hope the coughing is better today. It takes awhile to get rid of that. Linda, I don't blame Bob for being miffed about the money, but I guess it's not surprising with the security nowadays. Glad all the workers got in and out quickly. The pollen is awful here right now. Hope your allergies are better this evening. Karen, it was warm and very windy today, so I didn't walk outside other than to/from the grocery store. I wouldn't be surprised if we've had some high gusts too. Dinner on the porch sounds nice. Sounds like you're getting caught up pretty quickly. I do appreciate my large recycling bin that gets magically emptied by the county! The big grocery news in this part of town is that we're getting a Sprouts. Albertson's closed their stores here a few years ago and that shopping center has been sitting empty ever since, so it will be nice to have another option.
Waving to Liz and Becky. Have a great evening.

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele I'm glad Iggy wanted to celebrate his new job.I hope he will like the new job.I hope you were able to rest up today and didn't overdo.
Karen It did get up to 72 today but that is the warmest we will get for a week. Our high tomorrow should be 59 which isn't too bad but then it will start getting cooler at night again.I think Saturday our low will be 39.The wind has been high again. Is Z Living on DISH? I read where they lost a lot of customers due to the HBO problem.Enjoy dinner on the screened porch.
Kathy How nice to be getting a Sprouts.I wish we had that or a Whole Foods.Something besides HEB and WM anyway.
This morning we went to the PO,Walmart and to get propane and cubes for the cattle. It was windy but I decided to walk after lunch.I don't know if it was the wind or what but just before I got to the place on our road I turn around to come back home my leg started hurting from my knee(and behind it)to my ankle.I made it back home but I had to stop twice and some of the time I felt like I had a bad limp.I rested it and still rode the bike later so I could get my shower in.It feels better except for the back of my right thigh.Tomorrow we have to go to HEB but hopefully nowhere else.

Becky, your knee can actually cause pain in the back of it and into calf! my arthritis does sometimes.
Kathy, sprouts is great for produce, organic meat, bakery, dairy, gluten or dairy free stuff, Good deli cold cuts. love their herb tuna salad which even Bob likes! My nephew who is very allergic to anything milk/whet loved it when he visited.
So some nagging things bugging me are fixed...new shower head with nice long cord, working lock on the security door, working toilet shut off, extra watering outlets in the back garden with pesky lines to trip on gone.
Tomorrow is knee gel shot two, so I get to go out for supper because I am not supposed to stand in place for more than an hour..like kitchen? works for me.
