Karen, thanks for the start. I thought of you when I got a $5 off coupon for out local Aldi’s grand re-opening. It got a makeover. I might have to check it out after March 25 when it opens its doors. Did you workout today? I got in 8000 steps yesterday just walking around the house.
Becky, it sounds like you strained a muscle. I hope it feels better today and you didn’t have to hobble through HEB.
Kathy, it will be nice to have another choice of grocery store. We don’t have Sprouts but we do have Fresh Thyme which is similar. I miss Earth Fare. I heard on the Weather Channel that your part of the world will be getting a lot of rain this weekend. I hooe that doesn’t ruin any plans.
Linda, how has Micki been doing in day care? How did the shot go? Yay for not cooking.
Liz, it’s FriYAY! I hope you don’t get any calls or email this weekend.
We had wind, rain and hail during the late afternoon and then a rainbow. I hope you can see it in my avatar. We don’t get many rainbows around here. I was like a little kid jumping up and down and clapping. Yesterday we hit 70° and today we are in the mid 40s. Spring is teasing us. I went to Kroger this morning for fruit and veg. The cashier was new and very talkative. She must have kept me there 10 minutes after I was checked out. I can talk with the best of them but my frozen goods were going to melt. Finally, someone came to the register to check out and I boogied.

Chele, I hope you like your new Aldi. I read something that they are going to start stocking a lot more organics, which will be nice. I buy a lot of their organics and have always been pleased with the quality. I don't think I remembered that your Earth Fare closed. I will be able to get back to mine next week and already have my list started. Is Fresh Thyme a local chain? I'm surprised that your Kroger was so quiet this morning that the cashier was able to be chatty. That never happens at mine, regardless of day of the week or time of day. Publix is a different story, however, at least during the week. Congrats on 8K steps around the house yesterday. I did that on Tuesday but didn't quite make it to 7K on Wednesday. Missed 10K yesterday by just under 500, so that was disappointing. After your comment about the rowing machine and shoulders, I paid close attention to my form this morning and I do use my lower body more than my upper body. I seem to keep my arms closer to my legs and pull straight back, so no strain there. Even with my precarious knees, rowing is actually a lot easier on them than even the recumbent bike. Nice new avatar. Truth be told, I was getting tired of looking at the snow, so thanks for changing it. Wonder why you don't get many rainbows there. That's a pretty one. A lot of the Smokies trail photos do look more like paintings, but these people must have incredible cameras. I don't think I would take a decent camera with me on the trail because I would probably drop it. An 8 to 5 work day isn't just a midwest thing, and neither is not getting paid for your lunch hour, even if you choose not to take one. That was the standard work week at the college, but some people had variations, such as 7 to 4 or 9 to 6, depending on duties. And nobody got paid for lunch and if you didn't take it, too bad. I thought that photo looked more European, Linda. That will make a nice painting. Take advantage of not having to cook dinner. Will you order delivery instead? When do you leave for your trip? Did you pick up the money you ordered? How did things go with the shot? Kathy, I'm finally out of Doctor Who episodes. Well, I guess not totally because I just can't get into the Peter Capaldi ones at all, so I will skip them. There's just something about him that I don't care for. Hope you don't get rain. We are actually supposed to have a dry weekend, but chilly. According to the weather girly at noon, we haven't had a totally dry weekend for 6 weeks. Seems longer. Enjoy your new Sprouts. I wish we had one around here. I went to one on our last trip to Port Aransas, TX in 2006 and it was nice. It's great that they were able to recycle an Albertsons. We had an Albertsons close to us in Austin when we lived there and Dale was a FT grad student then, so he did all the grocery shopping. That was back when they were big into triple coupons and he used to pride himself on all the deals he brought home. Hoping for a quiet, work-free weekend for you, Liz. Maybe you will be left alone to enjoy your free time. I agree with Chele on the strained muscle, Becky. I hope you can take it easy today. Would heat help perhaps? I guess your little part of the world isn't close enough to Austin to warrant a Whole Foods. I have the same problem here. Z Living is 191 on Dish for us. They seem to have multiple hours of yoga every morning 7 days a week, so I plan to do 1/2 hour tomorrow and Sunday as well. And, if Dale doesn't get my vibration machine set up before he leaves tomorrow, I'll be doing that tomorrow as well. Feet(s) not rebelling from yesterday but back and quads hurt a little from the AF weight workout. There are some muscles I haven't used in a while. I left both feet unbandaged today and we'll see how the left one does. It's recovering faster than the right, probably because he didn't use the same suture thread. I have a load of laundry in that has in it the clothes I wear when I go out of the house. I was totally out of bras and will need several for next week. I downloaded a book so I may read this afternoon or save it for while Dale is gone over the weekend. He always needs the TV on and when he's not home, I often just have on music, especially since we lost HBO and the number of decent movies available on Dish decreased expoentially. So reading is on the agenda regardless. Beware the Ides of March!

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele That's a lot of steps just in the house. It seems to be my knee because it also hurts behind it.I wasn't hurting as bad this morning so we went to HEB and I did fine until we were done and I felt tired.I did my first 30 min on the recumbent bike earlier and I hadn't planned to walk on the road because even though it's 58 degrees but the wind gusts are bad but I decided to walk up to the road gate and back twice which was a little over 1000 steps I started hurting again so I'm resting it before I do the other round on the bike.Your avatar is beautiful. We already had our short spring tease for the week.We may get down to 39 in the morning with a high of 59.I wish the wind would just die down and it wouldn't feel so cool.
Karen Does Z Living have any other exercises besides yoga? Our DVD player isn't hooked up to our TV and we can't figure out how to do it and I have tons of exercise DVD's that I can't use.It doesn't seem to be a strained muscle.I'm glad your feet(s) aren't rebelling but sorry you are sore.
Linda Cute picture.

Linda, April is only a couple of weeks away, so you wouldn't have to sleep for that long. Will Vancouver be better for your allergies? Becky, I don't know of any other exercise shows on Z Living that go through entire workouts. There are shows that have people getting in shape but they don't go through entire routines where you follow along. There's a bunch of stuff on YouTube, however, that you could view online or download and play when you want to work out. I've done that sometimes and it worked well. How was Round 2 on the bike? I know what you mean about the wind. It has been pretty brutal here as well. The thermometer says 65 degrees but it doesn't feel anywhere near that warm when the wind gusts. We have been as high as 28 mph this afternoon and it's blowing in a cold front. It will be in the 30s by morning, so we are also experiencing our spring tease.

Karen The 2nd round on the bike actually hurt more.I may have to lower the resistance tomorrow. It's only 57 here now and it's gotten cloudy. They said it was supposed to be clear and get down to the mid to upper 30's in the morning.I hope it stays cloudy and maybe it won't get so cold.

I think pain is nature's way of saying, knock it off!
Dinner out was Mexican and allegies are so bad even with meds we could hardly taste that food! Had the first marguerita in years...well half or less. Hit me like a brick. Those used to come in stemmed glasses, now are mugs! Holy cow.
Right now Vancouver is ok...but cherry blossom festival is coming up.
oh crud...just looked at reports and cedar and juniper are VERY HIGH next three days in Vancouver.
Actually the picture was for everyone suffering with colds in cold places
