Okay, ladies. A boat is coming to take us over to a neighboring island. At their general store, you can get 1 kind of fruit. You can get fresh, canned or frozen, but only 1. And not a bag of mixed fruits either. What do you choose for your only fruit for the next month ?
(on our island, your fruit won't go bad )

Something citrus...lemon or orange most likely. Without the citrus I will get scurvy...do NOT want to lose all of my teeth The lemon or orange would add flavor to any food I found on the island, too.

I think I would pick oranges. I like oranges and besides, as Cathy pointed out, there is the Vitamin C factor.

I know I need the citrus, but I would definitely pick bananas!! That is the only fruit that I can't stand to be out of in the house.

So, overnight my fruit changed. Originally I was thinking watermelon. But then I decided I really like blueberries. I will have to take my chance on scurvy

Oh decisions, decisions! So many good fruits to choose from! I hadn't even thought of scurvy until I read the other answers. After consideration, I think I'll choose apples. I won't say that they are my number one favorite fruit, but they are satisfying to eat. I also thought about bananas, but I realized I mainly eat those because I think they are good for me. But, with the magic of the island that keeps food from spoiling...it would have been fun to keep bananas for a month without going bad.

Fruit... hard choice, but I love my bananas. Guess that would be my choice.
