The grocery store on the neighboring island is closed on Sundays, so we will head over there again tomorrow. But for today, just a place to check in.
Since it's St Patrick's Day, do any of you wear green today ? or have an "Irish" inspired meal ?

One of the stores here makes a dish in the deli called Colcannon. It is basically mashed potatoes with cabbage, bacon and onions. They only have it around St Patricks day. Pretty tasty stuff. I am so-so on corned beef. I remember my mom making it when I was a kid, but don't remember if I really liked it then.
Have a good rest of your weekend everyone. Supposed to be nice here (just 3 weeks ago we got 18 inches of snow). I cleaned out my car trunk today. Found about 30 reusable grocery bags. Decided that was waaaay more than I needed and I will take a good number of them to the food pantry to use there. I even washed them, so they are nice and clean and ready to be gone from my house.

Not planning to go anywhere so probably won't nlook for green to wear BUT my eyes are greenish and my robe is kind of blue-green
As for Irish food...doubt we will have anything Irish at all...unless beans are Irish?

I was planning to include at least one touch of green today; however, I have to lead a particular celebration this afternoon that has nothing whatever to do with St. Patrick's Day and there's nothing green that I own that will fit the costume I need to wear...

I don't guess I will wear anything green today, as the only places that I am planning to go, is to take off the trash, LOL then, probably stop by to check on my SIL. I do have my Dad's green eyes. I recently read that only about 1 % of the world's population have green eyes.
No Irish foods here either, I don't care for corned beef & have never prepared it. I do enjoy cabbage & potatoes, but doubt that I will cook much of anything today.

I do have a couple of green shirts, but today I'm wearing a sweatshirt that is a light green, but not a St. Patrick's day green. I do often cook corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's day, but I never even thought about it this year, so I won't be having any Irish food. Unless I decide to make a loaf of soda bread.

I wore green on Friday when I went to have my hair done and run my errands. Today is a quiet day. We don’t eat corned beef, so no Irish meal today. I love cooked cabbage with cottage cheese. I’ll be picking up both tomorrow.

I remembered to wear green to work on Friday (in anticipation of St. Patrick's day). Nothing related to the holiday on the menu today.
