This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good morning everyone.
I woke up with a headache this morning. Probably shouldn't have had the 2nd helping on the corned beef last night. Kind of like the pepperoni does me. I've taken a pill so between that and the coffee it should ease soon, I think.
I'll check back when I'm feeling better. I hope Monday treats you all kindly.

Ahh! Sweet relief. Once everything kicks in, it changes everything. Lol. Absolutely nothing on the schedule today except the lawn mowing I mentioned yesterday. Actually, I think that's plenty. ha! The only thing is, it's 36 degrees right now, so I need to wait until it warms up and the the grass dries from the dew before I can start. I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. I wonder if I use my earbuds if I can listen to a podcast on my phone...hmmm. I'd better put my ipod on the charger, just to be on the safe side.

Good morning everyone.
Sorry I did not post over the weekend. It turned into a very busy weekend with not much down time. I had a good weekend and everything we did was fun.
I am working for another hour or so and then I am driving to another facility to stay over night so I can onboard a new employee tomorrow. Back home tomorrow, so a short business trip.
April is going to be super busy for me.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to go back and read the posts from the weekend. I hope you are all doing well and that you had great weekends.
Lora enjoy cutting the grass.
Saturday morning I weeded my front flower bed and not I am itching to plant flowers. I have a few in there but I am ready to go buy some and fill the bed up with them. I love flowers. We had the littles Saturday morning (DGKs) and they started helping me weed the flower bed but when that felt too much like work, they decided to get the legos and sit on the front sidewalk and play legos while I worked. It was nice to have the company.

Good afternoon. I have rushed around all day, first training this morning at 6, then get ready for work (didn't have time to meditate, sadly), work/meetings until now, lunch, and so on. Dinner out tonight. Am not sleeping well again - I just seem to have a lot of digestive issues that irk me at night particularly. Oh well. Loved the training this morning but am definitely feeling it - I've got a long way to go to build up strength and stamina after many months of doing pretty much nothing except some treadmill here and there and PT for a month. Am ok with that, just as I get older I have less and less resilience and it's harder to get back in shape once falling off the wagon completely.
Jana, so cute the DGKs just wanted to play and be near you. Mine are still fulltime watching every minute so they don't kill themselves. Hope the business trip and overnight go well.
Lora, glad you're feeling better and hope the ipod option works for the mowing.
Cold here too but should warm up later in the week. Although now they're saying we have another precipitation event getting here Thursday which they hope will be all rain but it's not certain at this point. I'm supposed to go into the city again and both rain and snow will be an immense hassle. I'll just have to wait and see.
Have a great day all.

Hi ROs...up early and off to neuro-fit with DH...they had a camera crew there and video-taped and interviewed BOTH of us... I thought it would just be DH to show his progress and demonstrating some of the machines for use in a commercial &/or info on their facility. It gets us an invite to their GALA EVENT in November where DH will evidently be one of the featured guests. We have thought about going before, but it was pretty expensive, so ...yippee for us.
We were able to meet DS and DBIL at a fav Thai place that we haven't been to since November (before DH's knee surgery). In the meantime, DD texted and said YDGD wanted us to have lunch with her, so... we left lunch with DS and met DD and DGD where they were having lunch just to chat. I got home and walked to the grocery store, but when I got back, I had one of my migraine things. I guess I will lie down...maybe read or watch TV.
I would say my hand is much better, but as soon as I say that, it will probably start to hurt. I have a busy week this week also...gym tomorrow morning, then I am skipping tap dancing to go to a sewing group in the neighborhood. They meet once a month. I want to get a refresher crash course in crochet and knitting. I may have to run out and buy some yarn this evening. I have a luncheon tomorrow afternoon with some friends.
Lora - 36 is kind of chilly to mow, but I guess you will warm up pretty quickly. Hope my headache leaves as quickly as yours did.
Jana - glad you had a good weekend and that everything was fun (you needed that)...so nice that the littles can play with legos and you can still get something accomplished.
Andi - yeah for getting to your early training. I know you are prepared for the soreness you will feel...but we call that a good kind of sore...right? Hope dinner goes well this evening. Darn Darn - sorry about the rough nights again...seems that when one thing starts to improve, something else rears its ugly head again! Why can't we just have everything be wonderful....
OK...off to take some headache meds

Man! That mowing was a chore! And it got me over 20k steps for the day. Currently I'm actually just over 22k. It took me over 3 hours, with one 15 minute break in the middle to refill the gas tank on the mower and for me to drink a fizzy mineral water while waiting on the mower to cool down just a bit before I filled the gas tank.
Susie, it had warmed up to the mid to upper 40s when I started. And it didn't take me long at all to no longer feel cold out there. ha! How exciting about the interview and being special guests at the gala. That must make you both very proud, to be held up as positive examples. Our star! So glad to hear that your hand is doing so great pain wise. (also knocking on wood to keep it doing so).
Andi, first I couldn't find my stupid ipod, then when I did it was completely dead. Then I couldn't find the charger, so texted DH.....of course he had it with him. <eye roll>. So I mowed with no podcasts, no music, just the growl of the mower in my ears. Maybe I'll remember to plan ahead next time. I'm so happy for you're training session. You'll get your workout mojo and your stamina back in no time, I'm sure.
Jana, Wow! You did have a full weekend! So happy that it was all fun. I think that's exactly the weekend that you've been needing.
I hope I sleep good tonight. At the moment, I feel like I could sleep standing up. Haha!
