Thanks for the start, Karen.
It is National Slppy Joe Day. I used to love sloppy joes, but I can make any sandwich sloppy.
Iggy is off and running on his first day and it is going to be a long one. I have the bills to pay, the kitchen to clean and I am going to get on the bike and start building my stamina back.
Karen, I hope Dale gets back home okay. I am glad he made it through the marathon on one piece. You might have to go to the office supply store to find the right Command strip for your control. I know Office Depot has a ton of them. That is, if you have an Office Depot near you. It sounds like the vibration plate is going to do good things for you. You are right that the younger generation has to take the reins on climate control and force change with their votes. Corporations are just thinking about the now and more obscene profits and we have elected politicians who accept money from said politicians. The system is broken and reform is never easy. Where we live the best cell phone signal is from ATT and we can get a deal on internet and satellite from them. I hadn’t slept well when Iggy traveled since 2012. He had his heart attack in Oct 2011 and started traveling again in May 2012. The Paris thing just compounded it.
Linda, too bad the Chicken Forrestier didn’t taste as good as it sounded. Has Bob started thinking of what he is going to pack?
Becky, I always move slow when I am going uphill, even when nothing hurts. :-) Take it easy today.
Kathy, are you into the college basketball games? It doesn’t excite me like it used to. The male Flyers didn’t make it to the NCAA tournament. They did make the NIT. The women’s selection is today. I hope you had another good weekend.
Liz, may the Force be with you and guard you from evil doers. Some good will come your way soon. It is the law of averages. I hope you got some rest this weekend.

Bob pretty much takes the same thing, as I do. I should start that as he has a tendncy to suddenly tell me laundry is needed!
I would have worried too if he traveled alone after a heart attack.
Skipping art..should be there now. Woke at three with unhappy stomach and back to sleep at six and awake at seven....one of these cannot skeep but cannot quite wake up things. Feel better but out of it and staying in bed. Dog is happy.

Becky, if you asked our county if our road was paved, they would say yes. It may have been 20 or so years ago but all they have done since is patch the holes, which is now most of what's left. So it's a difficult surface to walk or run on. That must be some hill to get 2 flights of stairs on your FB. You seem to get enough walking in on your grocery days, so you probably don't need it. I assume you'll still do 30 minutes on the bike on those days. Not much wind here today, like you had yesterday. So what's my weather going to be tomorrow?
Hope Iggy's first day goes well, Chele. Kind of exciting to start with an NCAA regional. Too bad your alma mater didn't make it, since it's being played on their home court. Tonight we'll see if the TN women make history by not being chosen for the first time since the tournament began. From what I saw this morning, they are one of seven teams up for the remaining four slots. I think their chances are pretty good, but not a lock. I'll be in meetings this evening so I won't know until I get home. The suspense will be killing me. Good luck with AT&T. We have them for our landline but they have nothing else available in our area. Congrats on having HBO available, since AT&T basically owns them. Have you been sleeping better this weekend? I had a pretty rocky night and got less than 5 hours, so I'm dragging. Take it easy on the bike as you attempt to get back to it. The vibration plate is amazing and I hope you're right that it will do good things. I realized this morning that the control fits perfectly on the window sill, so I may just leave it there for now.
Linda, I'm not surprised your stew was bland. It needs some spices. You could probably add some things you and Bob like and it would be wonderful. I was thinking maybe a bouquet garni might give it a bit more flavor. What did you serve it with--rice, potatoes, pasta? Hope the stomach improves but don't blame you for skipping art class this morning
Good luck this week, Liz. I agree with Chele that you're due for some good things to happen for you.
Kathy, I saw that UCF men made the NCAA, but the UCF women are one of the seven teams in contention with TN for those last four spots. How was your weekend weather and do you think you'll get a little spring this week?
Dale got home a little after 10 and I have a load of workout clothes in the washer. I also changed the bed this morning and the bedding is in the dryer, so that's done. Yoga went pretty well this morning but there are a few poses I still can't do, like down dog and plank. Feets are doing a bit better and I don't think I'll have to use the cane to get to and from the car and into the building this evening. Still have a bit of a limp but have less pain with shoes right now. I'll bandage both feet to try to minimize the pain a bit more. With Dale having swelling and bruising on top of both feet, we walk the same way right now.

Chele, I was never that wild about the sauce in Sloppy Joes. Or maybe it was just that the ones we got in the school cafeteria lunch were really bad. No telling what was in there! Does Iggy have to go through any kind of orientation? I remember my first day at the last job being really long too. Hope all goes well and he likes the job. I'm not a big basketball fan, but I'll be watching FSU. I always root for the Flyers too, so sorry to hear they didn't make it. FSU and UF wound up in the same region, so could wind up playing each other at some point. UCF made it in and if they win their first game, they'll most likely play Duke.
Karen, we've gone backwards as far as the weather goes with highs in the 60s and lows in the 50s. It's been gray and drizzly today and probably will be tomorrow too. The rest of the week looks better and a little warmer, so should be nice. UCF will have a tough job if they wind up playing Duke, but you never know. They pulled off a couple of big upsets in the past month. Ouch on both sets of feets in your house! Glad Dale survived the marathon, but that sounds rough. Hope the swelling goes down quickly.
Waving to Liz, Becky, and Linda.

I make sloppy joes from Scratch with Test Kitchen book recipe. lighter.
Got out the luggage and packed my stuff except for meds and couple items I use. Bob called for shuttle reservation (4:30 AM for 7:20 internation flight. ...oh for the days of just walking up to your gate) and unblocked credit cards for Canada use. Then I went back to bed...can't nap.
got out of bed, cut up stuff and started potatoes cooking for a Berlin potato salad...new to us...the choppd onions are in the dressing, the slice potatoes, pickkes and chopped apples are layered and not mixed! We will have it with some little German sausages for a simple supper...Nuremburgers.
The Micki got a walk and I went back to bed with my book. 84 today! not used to over 68 and not wanting to be used to it as it will get up to high 50s in Vancouver last week of March.

Karen Thanks for the start.
Chele I hope Iggy had a good first day even if it will be long.I hope you are able to start building your stamina back.I would worry too after Iggy had his heart attack.
Karen Unfortunately counties don't always keep up their roads. When I first moved out here our roads weren't even paved so it's a definite improvement. There wasn't much wind this morning but it's up a little this afternoon but it's also 69 and sunny so it's not bad at all.I decided to go for a walk today even though I walked in HEB and Walmart.I'm sure Dale was tired too when he got home.I hope your meeting goes well.
Kathy It got up to 69 here this afternoon after a low of 40 this morning. It is beautiful out there though.I have never liked basketball.
Linda When do you leave for Canada?
Liz I hope your week isn't too brutal but I have a feeling things don't change much there for you.I hope your former mentee gets her act together so work won't be so painful for you.
