Wow, we are so lucky. The island store just contacted me and said they had gotten in a load of grains and starches. But only enough for 1 per person. What grain or starch are you willing to eat for the next month ? Rice, potatoes, barley, quinoa and even bread? All zero points, so what will it be ?

Augh...I have a fly buzzing around my bedroom. Cinders and I are going to go try and kill it before it makes us both crazy and then head for bed.

I had a great wheat-oat mixture the other day...but...
I think perhaps bulgur...it is easy to cook and can be just soaked in water or cooked and eaten as is or with vegetables or in tabouli or whatever...even as a breakfast cereal.
I was thinking that what would make this island even better is if all of us in this group were on the island together and could collaborate before going to the dinky store on the island...we could then have a varied and splendid diet while enjoying ourselves together while "lost"

Never met a piece of bread that I didn't like, so I will take bread, lots of bread. Bread at 0 sps!! That has been a dream of mine!

Potatoes. I'm a potato person. If it had to be a grain, I guess I'd choose brown rice.

I'm thinking brown rice, although quinoa caught my eye because of its high protein content... Do I get to bring my steamer with me? If yes, then brown rice...

Hey, don't go hating on the store. It's doing the best it can..... I heard it is getting a shipment of dairy(ish) items in tonight, so we will be making one last trip over there tomorrow.
Maybe we could have a potluck tomorrow as well. Think about something you could bring using the ingredients that you have picked this week.
I am with Beverly. I will take bread. Hopefully there will be some fresh baked loaves rather than the store brought stuff. Nope, I am changing my mind to potatoes. I can bake them, fry them, mash them. Yep, I am getting potatoes.
