well, actually nothing this morning for a change, we shall see if the yard guys get here finally to make up for last Friday. Then I can put down so diametrious (sp?) earth as it is getting to the buggy season here.
Pollen levels are almost as high as the scale gets. So Micki should get a calming bath!
Questers meeting this afternoon.

Linda, I thought of you when I saw this article and remembered that Micki takes Apoquel. Apoquel article. So sorry the pollen is so high. You'll be out of it soon enough and I hope what they have in Vancouver won't be nearly as awful. How was Questers? I intended to watch The Husbands of River Song this morning, Kathy. That's when we realized that our old recorder doesn't date stamp, so I have no idea exactly where it is. So I'll have to do some searching. Have your skies cleared? When is DM going to NO? Chele (and Liz), I heard a Pieces of A Dream song called Goodbye Manhattan that reminded me of you, especially the line "can't buy that attitude". When did Iggy get home last night? How are things going for him in the new job? I know this hasn't been a typical week, so I hope the rest of the job won't be too boring as a result of this week's excitement. What have you been doing with the house to yourself so much of the day and evening with not having to worry about him being out of the country and in some distant time zone? How's the week going, Liz? Becky, how's the knee today? Is the Penetrex helping any? I can understand how bananas can affect your IBS-C, since that's one of the foods that are recommended after a bout of diarrhea. We had another chilly morning but the sun is shining brightly and we may get up to 60. I've done some stuff around the house, including sweeping the stairs with a Swiffer because I can't handle the Dyson on them quite yet (I'm lucky to get me up and down). The master gardeners president asked me to take on leadership of the Policy Committee for the new greenhouse, so I have spent part of the afternoon finding similar policies online, mostly from agriculture universities. I have a couple of people I hope will be part of the committee and I hope they will agree. I think we can get it done in 2 or 3 meetings, so a short term project (which is the only reason I said yes). Off to Osteo tomorrow and then the Hydro Massage that I am SO looking forward to.

Good Afternoon Chicks and thanks for the start Karen,
Just checking in quickly to see how everyone is doing. I have been very busy once again this week. The hospital is continuing to be in the mid to low 90%s for census.
The sun is out today and now I have to scoot as I have another call. Ciao for now~

Nice seeing you mid week, Liz.
Linda, our turn for high pollen is coming. The daffodils are popping up and the day lily leaves are sprouting. I hope your lawn guys turned up.
Karen, I laughed when you said you joined a committee. We are so opposite. I have to be dragged kicking and screaming to meetings now. I hooe you enjoy your day tomorrow.
Waving to Becky and Kathy.
I went to lunch with a friend and then we went to the Cincinnati Art Museum for an Egyptian exhibition. It was fun and it is the first time I have used my Golden Buckeye card for a senior discount.
Iggy got home around 9 pm last night and thinks he will be later tonight. I am sure he is looking forward to shorter hours. He is tired. Yesterday I slept for a couple of hours in the afternoon after finishing the sheets and went to bed at my normal time. I think I am catching up on all that lost sleep.

Karen Thanks for the start. My knee still hurts.I walked in Walmart and HEB while grocery shopping and it was bothering me so I bought a knee brace but that actually makes it hurt more when I ride the bike.I also bought an arch support set and that seemed to bother me so I'm taking both back.I walked so much in the 2 stores I decided not to try a walk but am doing the bike 20 min at a time.I have one more 20 min session to do and I'm going to see how my knee/leg feels without the knee brace.I decided not to buy another recumbent bike so I ordered a portable DVD player so I can exercise to my DVD's to get in extra steps and not push the bike or walking so much.I know I could get them off YouTube but I don't like to use my internet data for that.We beat your weather today. Our low was 43 but the high was 78.A weak cool front just blew through but it should only go down to 48 with a high of 73 tomorrow.Good luck heading the policy committee for the new greenhouse.
Liz Nice to see you popping in.I hope you aren't hurting too badly.
Chele I'm glad you enjoyed your outing.
Hi Kathy and Linda.

Karen, hope you can find the River Song episode. It was still raining early this morning and has been overcast all day. Kind of blah for the spring breakers so far, but it should improve tomorrow. The cousin that's going to NO is a teacher and next week is her spring break week. She arrives Saturday night and they're leaving Sunday morning. Her return flight is on the next Friday, so it's going to be a quick trip and a lot of driving with 4 people in the car. I could've gone, but that much riding in the car with 5 people just didn't sound too appealing, plus I've been to NO. I'm sure they'll have fun though.
Liz, glad you could check in. Not surprised that you're very busy and hope you get a break soon.
Linda, hope the lawn guys showed up. Some of our pollen counts have been really high and the oak trees are dropping all kinds of stuff. I've seen a lot of birds in the pond lately. An anhinga was sunning itself when a hawk swooped down and either tried to get it or was chasing it off. The anhinga took off across the water and then dove into it and the hawk flew off.
Chele, I'm like you and won't mind if I never go to another meeting. That's kind of rough for Iggy to start with the long hours for an event. I'm glad you're catching up on your sleep. Glad you enjoyed the art museum.
Becky, the portable DVD player sounds like a great idea. Hope the knee improves soon. You got both colder and warmer than us since we had lows in the 50s and highs in the low 70s.

Questers was short meeting, presentation on stoneware and a lot a gabfest!
Chele, I am so with you on most meetings. After 37 years in teaching, I want to avoid them, and be one of the rank and file, not an officer.....hard when your group is down to nine! What a fun day you had.
Becky, I hope you can figure out the knee. Some simple PT exercises to strengthen muscles around it rather than constant flex might be better. i feel for you.
This morning I finally pruned the frosted ficus, poofed some food grade diomotricious earth around thr foundation, Changed bedding and did three loads of laundry. by then it was time for my monthly Questers meeting. dinner is hot dogs, leftover potato , salad and slaw.
