I'm IN.
It's going to be wet and wild today - heavy rains, high winds, flood warnings (thanks to the full moon).
<meh>.
๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐

Good morning!
MJ we are getting the same stuff. DH has appts but I am happy with just hunkering down and enjoying the dreary blustery wet day from inside my house.
I really should straighten out the office again as it's starting to look like an episode of "Hoarders." It's the only room in the house that gets that way and I can close the door but eventually I have to face it. Good day for it.
Have a good day, everyone.

I'm in. It's pretty nice this morning (40's). We're supposed to get showers later so I'm hoping to get errands done before the rain starts. Food at Cookbook Club was so-so. I wasn't impressed with the book when I looked at the recipes & the food didn't change my mind. I thought the mac & cheese I made was greasy although my son seems to like it. The winning recipe (everyone's fav) was a one hour bread but the cook made a change. She originally tried it as written & thought it was too rustic. Using bread flour gave the bread a nice texture. Hope everyone has a nice day.

I'm IN. We started the day in the mid-50s but it will be a lovely day in the 70s with lots of sun. lavonm, interesting to hear about your cookbook review. Nice to try some of the recipes before deciding to buy the book. I'm meeting a friend at Panera for lunch and a visit. Leftover turkey tonight. Have a good day!

I'm in. We are getting the rain but not supposed to get the wind until after this pushes through. Right now the forecast for Saturday is so-so. Hope it improves before we go walking all around NYC.

Good morning. Iโm in. Wiped out this morning; tossy-turny kind of night, and when I did sleep Missy woke me upโguess we both had insomniaโฆI think Missyโs was cheese-seeking induced. Last night I had Filet Mignon and Duchess potatoes, both recipes from the Americaโs Test Kitchen web site. The Filet was cooked Sous Vide and was rare, tender, and fabulous. The potatoes were a winner, too. Today Iโll have my main meal at the end of my Sur La Table cooking class. It sounds like my rain flew across the nation to various other places; maybe youโll all be dry tomorrow as it is supposed to return here tomorrow. Thatโs all for now. Have a great day and KOKO.

I'm in but it will be a challenge. I have Pilates for the first time since November but then my neighbor and I are taking our friend to lunch to celebrate her 70th birthday. This is the friend who had the birthday dinner party at the beginning of the month and then 10 women are going on a booze bus up to Bass Lake in the Sierras on Saturday for yet another celebration. I get car sick in the mountains unless my husband, the cautious driver, is in charge so I plan to stick to the water until we have arrived at Ducey's, the landmark restaurant for the area. Then tonight I am working 5-8 at the pre party for the antique show. That means heavy appetizers for dinner. Well, I am bringing turkey and ham caravan sandwiches, the kind rolled in pita bread and then sliced to 1 inch sizes. I know some will bring shrimp but I need to stay away from the unidentifiable appetizers. It should be a fun party though DH is staying home to care for the dog who really needs no care. Our rain should end this morning. We have had less with this storm than other areas. Have a good day.

Some yummy food mentioned! I should try to use my sous vide cooker more, too.
It's also raining in my neck of the woods, but not that hard.

Morning everyone, thank you for the start MJ. ๐ค
I started the day with the coffee cup top not being on right and a shirt filled with hot coffee and back and forth calls to the pharmacy. Things can only improve at this point. ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Be careful driving in that rain to all my back east friends!
Have a beautiful day everyone. ๐ผ๐คโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ

DebDoesWW,- Sorry to hear your day started rough. I hate that! Raining and icky all day here today. Meeting a co-worker for drinks and dinner after work to celebrate her last day. Really want to go home, but trying to "play nice in my sandbox" since you never know when we'll cross paths again. We are't very close, but have worked together for about 10 years and she's going to run the Autism program for another school district. So it's always good to part on nice terms.

So much coffee today! One from home and two cups at a breakfast this morning! I drank the coffee instead of eating the bagels/sweets so I think that's a win for me!
It's still gray and cold here, but at least it's not freezing and snowing! I AM WEARING MY FLIP FLOPS!! There is no turning back now! I'm willing it to be spring weather!
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Positive energy to all!
