I am really torn as to which to vote for but think I'll stay with my original choice. That was before I submitted one, but I'll still go with AWESOME APRIL. They are all good & I hate that I have to choose one over the other.
Well I am doing laundry & washing windows today. It takes me a long time to get the windows washed so this will be a project in progress - perhaps until we leave if I do all of them. I'm on a break now:) Some years I haven't got to the bedroom windows. DS keeps the shades pulled all the time so I can't see how dirty they are. Out of sight, out of mind! I will scrub the kitchen & BR floors before we leave too. I am a very sloppy cook & the floor in the area where I do all the cooking, has many spots. A few years ago I got a machine that washes the floors so it is less labor intense for me. Doesn't do as good a job as getting on my knees but I can't do that anymore.
We had a nice visit with my DB yesterday. SIL doesn't have much patience with him. I know being a care giver can be frustrating at times & it is easy for me to be critical of her whereas I might be worse if I was in her shoes. He can't help it his health & memory are failing. His memory isn't bad though - more what I would consider normal. DH forgets things too. In fact so do I sometimes. Sometime in the next couple weeks I need to visit my sister also. She went to an assisted living facility after her DH died 2 years ago. Aging doesn't treat all of us equal.
Jenny, you are making steady progress. Doesn't that feel good? Your plans are interesting to me cause DH & I will be cremated also. We haven't made any final plans yet but have talked with the funeral director.
Time to get back to the windows. I want to do all(5)of them in the kitchen today. My goal is one room a day. The bedrooms only have 2 windows in each so if I pushed myself I could do all of them in one day.
Have a good day...

Good morning -- it's almost gone!
I have an eye doctor appointment this afternoon. I wonder if my left eye is ready for cataract surgery--guess he will tell me.
I've worked on taxes this morning. Yes, I know I'm late! This isn't the only important thing that I've procrastinated on. Bad, bad Molly!
Magazines! I subscribed to Country Woman and was caught in a deluge! They came from all directions! I've cut off the mailing labels and taken them to hospitals and nursing homes -- just leave them in the waiting rooms. Last week, I received a hardback book! I called the Country magazine customer service, and the woman I talked with was actually American, and she was very helpful. She said she would get them all stopped. Sure hope she does!
Gotta go! BBL! ~~Mollyann

OK I forgot to answer the QOTD! I have only one magazine subscription & that is for "Gather" our church women's magazine. It was a bother to have any subscriptions when we traveled & like others mentioned, I seldom if ever read them.

Changed my vote from April Happenings to Awesome April
One batch of dirty clothes in the washer and one in dryer. I am sorting out a drawer of old sweaters. Little spring cleaning, maybe!!

I vote for Awesome April. Answer to the QOTD - the only magazine I get is AARP and I just glance through it and then recycle it. I also get a magazine from an insurance company that I also glance through it and recycle it. Most of my mail these days end up in the recycle bin after I pull the address label off and shred that. I spent Wednesday night at Jessica's house since I had my volunteer library job on Wednesday and Waylon had a grooming appointment in the same town on Thursday. Made for less driving for Jessica. Busy couple of days for me - library and then out to dinner. Waylon was even busier - library, out to dinner, grooming, and to Jessica's therapy. He was glad to get home and sleep.

Back from the optometrist. As I expected, my left eye's cataract is ready to be removed. I have an evaluation appointment with the surgeon in late April. Wish it could have been sooner, I'm ready to have it over with.
I had a subscription to Good Housekeeping for years and years. When they stopped including the short stories and condensed novels, I canceled. As someone else mentioned, the magazines all seem geared toward the young women. Those for my age group are always health, heart, and cancer -- nothing fun.
Nancy, how old is Waylon?

This is one tard ol lady. I have been pulling weeds since I got home until I could do no more so I came in and crashed.
When I left the gym I stopped for a few games of rummicub and a chicken sandwich. It has been a beautiful day.
Camping friend called and was trying to get up a weekend get together but called again and said there were no openings. I don't like weekends and told her I would not camp Sunday. That would have only given me Thursday and Friday night, but I do not like to miss my church.
I am going to try to go to Eisenhower the second week of April. I have not worked on a reservation yet.
Molly, you will be amazed at the difference cataract surgery makes. I am glad the DR. did mine and never said anything about them having to be 'ripe'.

I had cataract surgery before I moved to GNW. So glad I didn’t move in and then have to find an eye surgeon. The longer you wait, the harder it is to remove the cataract (film).
Good Night!

I used to subscribe to Cooking Light but they have changed most of the recipes to things I can't eat so I just pull out old cookbooks and change the recipes to Low Sugar for Jim. I'm getting really good at it. I still get WW BUT it is because it comes from another company and they just take the money from my checking account. I am going to call them to stop it next year. It just renewed without my permission recently. I don't like the recipes in there anymore either. You don't see those nice crock pot recipes anymore.....They cook with stuff I don't eat. Many Mexican or oriental ones and lots of things like Kale which I don't touch with a 20 foot pole. I don't have time to just read the articles so it is useless to me. Jim's order Scientific American and can barely read it but it was important to my scientific man. I think he feels important just having it on his table. Connie: Thanks for the butterfly!!! Tucking you all in now in LIGHT GREEN BLANKETS WITH A RAINBOW IN THE MIDDLE OVER A PILE OF GOLD SHAMROCKS....sweet dreams!

I should have mentioned that I had cataract surgery on my right eye in January of 2018, so this isn't something new for me. At that time, the left eye was not giving me trouble. Now it is. They told me that since it developed so quickly in the right eye, it would probably happen that way in the left eye as well, and it has. They didn't say anything about it being "ripe"; just that they could see that it was affecting my vision. Yes, I will be happy to have it done. The lens they placed in my right eye has allowed me to see distances that I haven't been able to see since fourth grade! I still wear my glasses, though, if only to cover the bags under my eyes! LOL!
So Waylon is just barely an adult. I'd love to meet him in person! The animals that each of you write about seem so neat! I'd like to have a pet-fest and meet each one of them.
Had a birthday supper at Longhorn Steakhouse for DD this evening. I had wrapped the Kitchenaid mixer attachment in gold paper with a huge gold lace bow for DD. I told her I thought I'd better make it really pretty since it was an "appliance." She was excited to receive it -- but when they saw it, the girls said, "How much is the check?" LOL! The kids will spend the first part of next week (Spring Break) with their other grandparents, then we will go get them. They will spend the latter part of the week with us.
Goodnight! See you tomorrow! ~~Mollyann
